Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah ?Pra-Eksperimen? yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, kentuntasan hasil belajar siswa, dan keefektifan model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Variabel bebas adalah model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) sedangkan variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X5 SMA Negeri 2 Polewali yang berjumlah 30 orang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan  adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis N-gain, dan uji hipotesis secara inferensial  diolah dengan analisis  program SPSS versi 20.0 dengan menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori ?aktif?, rata-rata posttest hasil belajar berada pada kategori ?sangat baik?, rata-rata gain ternormalisir berada pada kategori ?tinggi?, ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa melebihi 85%, penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas X5 SMA Negeri 2 Polewali efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the high growth of population is special problem.  Because of that, the government had to done something to holding the rate population problem, that one of them is Planning Family (KB) in national program.  Increased of rate acceptor KB can give effect to contraception logistic crisis, so it can be decreased logistic supply.  By the way, the development of contraception from plant is one of alternative that can do it. Indonesia is tropical country that have richness flora.  More than 940 species that has planting and used be herbal medicine or traditional medicine and from 75th family are more than 225th plant species that used be contraception material.  One of them is sea grass (Enhalus acoroides) because it?s contained steroid, that?s can be isolated from all of body plant, like roots, rhizome, and leaf.  Fitosterol on leaf sea grass is very potential that it had to explore in biology aspect.  It?s very important in supply steroid, to be contraception material and or medicine. This research aimed to knows the influence fitosterol of sea grass (Enhalus acoroides) to fertility of Mencit (Mus musculus) male ICR.  There are four experiments (A0= control : just give it to mencit is suspension of fitosterol sea grass and A1, A2, A3 : give it to mencit  is dose of fitosterol sea grass with each experiment are 25, 50 and 75 mg/kg per mencit).  Rate of mencit in experiment are 60 mencit. The parameter of research are heavy of testis, epididimis and vesikula seminalis, rate and sperm mortality, and so conception from male mencit. Based on the results of that research has been done shows that the fitosterol of sea grass is making influence to mencit, like increasing of heavy of testis, epididimis and vesikula seminalis, and mortality of mencit.  But it can decrease of sperm rate and conception of mencit.  It?s meaning that the higher dose of fitosterol can make lower of result.

Abstract

Abstract. Descriptive research with survey method was performed to determine Importance Value Index (IVI), Richeness (S), Eveness Index (E), Diversity Index (H’), and Similarity Index (IS) of herb vegetation on White rock and Bulusaraung Mountain Bulu-bulu Countryside Balocci Resort Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park. Sampling were performed in two directions they are White rock and Bulusaraung Mountain. Transect placed with random. In each transect, 10 plots were made with 2 m x 2 m, placed criss-cross with alternating intervals with 8 m range between each plot. Each herb was counted and identified to species level. IVI of each herb were obtained from relative density, relative frequency and relative dominance. Results showed that 33 speciment, 5 identified by genus level and 28 identified by species level. Species with highest IVI in White rock were O. hirtellus, G. repens, A. compressus, C. prostrate dan C. cordifolium while the lowest were C. gigantea, N. hirsututa, C. sicyoides, P. mollissimum dan A. longiloba. Species of Bulusaraung Mountain with highest IVI were P. bettle, A. longiloba, A. unilaterale, C. rotundatus dan P. mollissimum whereas the least were Macrothelypteris sp., H. peduncularis, Aglaonema sp., Hedychium sp., dan Habenaria sp. BBPH net worth at 23 while the value of species richness in G. Bulsar by 25 species; equity indices in both areas classified as moderate; and high species diversity index at The Mount Bulusaraung otherwise being in the area BBPH. Value IS in the area of Bukit Batu Putih and Mount Bulusaraung relatively low.Keywords: importance value index, richeness, eveness index, diversity index, similarity index, bantimurung bulusaraung national park, herbs vegetation.

Abstract

The research aims to know the long influence of fermentation with bread yeast in Dioscorea hispida flavor to ethanol production. This experiment research was doing in Balai Besar Labolatorium Departemen Kesehatan RI (BBLDKRI), Makassar. The sample of the research was 250 g in every sample of Dioscorea hispida flavor. It had done by chemical by use HCl which boiling in 120°C. This research used 4 M HCl which repeat in 3 times. The result of hydrolysis was 48 hours, 96 hours, and 144 hours. This research used free variable that is the long time of fermentation and variable that was the ethanol value of Dioscorea hispida that had fermented. This research used random complete planning and picnometer was used to know the ethanol value and match it at the kind of the weight table. The result of data analysis showed that the ethanol value in Dioscorea hispida flavor which fermented is 0.0% control); 0.5% (48 hours); 1.1% (96 hours), and 3.6 % (144 hours). The result of this research showed that there was the long influence of the fermentation to the ethanol value in Dioscorea hispida flavor fermentation and after doing the inferential technique analysis and between control and treatment proved that the last fermentation is obvious different with the ethanol value. So, can be concluded that longer time that used in fermentation (144 Hours), higher the ethanol value (3.6 %) in the (Dioscorea hispida).

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis fitoplankton pada salah satu tambak udang di Desa Bontomate?ne Kecamatan Segeri Kabupaten Pangkep. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampel air tambak dan lumpur tambak. Identifikasi dilakukan dengan  pengamatan langsung pada mikroskop optilab dengan perbesaran 10x40. Sampel lumpur terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengenceran sampai 10-3 kemudian ditumbuhkan dengan menggunakan medium Walne. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan kemudian diidentifikasi berdasarkan buku identifikasi  Biggs dan Killroy dengan membandingkan karakteristik morfologi antara hasil penelitian dan buku acuan identifikasi. Hasil identifikasi didapatkan 16 genus dari 3 kelas Cyanophyceae (Oscillatoria dan anabaena), kelas Chlorophyceae (Ulohrix, Tribonema dan Pediastrum) dan kelas Bacillariophyceae (Surirella, Thalassiosira, Skeletonema, Coscinodiscus, Nitzschia, Epithemia, Navicula, Eutonia, Cymbella, Encyonema, dan Mastogloia).

Abstract

The research is intended to know the improvement of the activity and achievement in learning biology at the third year students of science class at SMA Negeri 1 Tellu  Limpoe in  the academic year 2007/2008 on the concept of Growing and Developing through the application of Mind Mapping Approach. The Class Action Research was held on July to October 2008 to 40 third year students of  Science Class at SMA 1 Negeri 1 Tellu Limpoe Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. The data were collected by applying written test to measure the learning achievement and observation sheet to recognize the students activities in learning biology. Based on the data analysis it was concluded that the activity of the students got improvement when using the approach of mind mapping in learning the concept of Growing and Developing . It showed that there was improvement  from 72,12 % (good category)  in the first circle to 80,08% (very good category) in the second circle. The   improvement was also found on the students means score of the post test   from 78,4% in the first circle to 82,2% in second circle after applying the mind mapping approach at the same concept. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar karbon monoksida di udara dan dalam darah mekanik otomotif menurut umur, lama terpapar, dan kebiasaan merokok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif, dan menjadikan semua populasi sebagai sampel (exhaustive sampling) dengan jumlah populasi 22 orang. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mekanik bagian General Repair Servis & Suku Cadang PT. Megahputera Sejahtera Makassar. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa mekanik yang terpapar sekitar 6-7 jam per hari lebih banyak yang memiliki konsentrasi karbon monoksida dalam darah yang tidak memenuhi syarat dibandingkan yang terpapar selama 3-5 jam per hari. Untuk mengurangi kadar karbon monoksida  sebaiknya pada saat tidak bekerja atau libur, mekanik melakukan pemulihan sendiri dengan menghirup udara luar yang bersih sebanyak-banyaknya, pihak manajemen bengkel pun hendaknya lebih menekankan pada disiplin penggunaan APD agar lebih efektif.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to show the potential of tree bark of mangrove (Avicennia sp.) plant as antibacterial to against Aeromonas hydrophyla. This bacterium causes fishery cultivation disease e.g. the MAS (Motile Aeromonads Septicemia). Antibacterial activity test was done using paper diffusion and dilution methods. The research result showed that extract of tree bark of mangrove (Avicennia sp.) plant having potency as antibacterial particularly to the A. hydrophyla.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa pada pokok bahasan keanekaragaman makhluk hidup yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Peer Mediated Intruction and Intervention (PMII) tipe Class Wide Peer Tutoring (CWPT) dan Model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS).Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) menggunakan desain pretestpostest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri atas 3 rombongan belajar yang berjumlah 151 siswa, dengan jumlah sampel 29 orang pada kelas VIIB dan 29 orang pada kelas VIIA.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai thitung 0,557 <ttabel 2,000 dan signifikansi (0,000 < 0,05), hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan perbedaan yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran PMII Tipe CWPT untuk kelas VIIB dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran TPS untuk kelas VIIA. Abstract

The extract of leaf, fruit and tree bark of tembelekang (L. camara Linn.) as antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli has been studied using agar diffusion method. The extract producted with extraction with maseration fraction teqnique. The aim of this research is to show the potential L. camara plant as antibacterial to against Staphylocuccus aureus and Escherichia coli. The research result showed that extract of leaf of L. camara plant having potency as antibacterial and showing that there is a real correlation between the L. camara plant as the medicinal plant and the bioactive compounds contained in it.
