Abstract

Jeopardy Game is a media designed to emphasize information management for students. Jeopardy Game improves student’s skill to identify and remember information. This study aimed to discover student’s critical thinking skills in grade VIII students at Mts Ar-Riddha Rengas Pulau. This research employed quantitative methods using non-equivalent control group design techniques. Samples of this study are class VIII A as a control class and class VIII B as an experimental class. The researcher provided 5 oral questions that must be answered in writing to measure students’ critical thinking level. Data analysis technique used is the paired sample t-test analysis test. The results showed that students who were taught using the Jeopardy Game had an average critical thinking score of 80.4 in contrast to the Non-Equivalent Control Group had an average had a critical thinking score of 75.3, it showed that there is positive effect of Jeopardy Game for the students’ critical thinking ability. A Sig 2 Tailed 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 is tolerated and H1 is accepted. This finding concluded that the use of Jeopardy Games affected students’ activities and critical thinking skills in Fiqh at Mts Ar-Riddha Rengas Pulau.

Abstract

Education is a process of changing human attitudes and behavior to mature them through teaching and training efforts. That’s why the teachers’ role in the education world as a learning resource has become important. This study aims to reveal the learning problems of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan, Deli Serdang Regency, and to describe the teacher's efforts in solving the problems that occurred. This case study used a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation which were then presented in the form of a qualitative descriptive analysis to describe the conditions occurring at the research location. The researchers revealed that there were many problems experienced by teachers and students during the teaching and learning process of students at SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan, such as students' lack of interest in reading, lack of fulfillment of learning media, lack of student concentration because there were too many students in the class. The teachers' efforts to solve these problems are making quizzes to increase students' interest in reading, dividing students into several groups to concentrate more, and creating innovative learning media to facilitate student practice activities.

Abstract

A library plays a crucial role in adding school value. Well designed library based on careful consideration will undoubtedly support its quality. However, not all school libraries adhere to the standards set out as mentioned in Article 23, paragraph (1) about library, which states that a school library space should provide for visitors comfortableness. Those condition are similarly happen in State Elementaris School 040517 Tigajumpa. The avalilable library does not meet the good standard library criteria. Therefore, the library revitalization is needed to solve this condition. This research employed is action research method, consisting of four stages: problem diagnosis, action planning, action implementation, and evaluation. Those stages were run for 1 month.

Abstract

Student memory in the History of Islamic Culture subject for class III students at MIS Nurul Hadina is still relatively low, so varied learning models are needed to overcome this problem.“writing in the here and now” is one learning model that teachers can use in the learning process to improve students' memory. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the effect of learning models“writing in the here and now” in improving students' memory skills in the History of Islamic Culture subject. This research employed quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design as a research type. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a paired sample t-test and an independent sample t-test to test the hypothesis. The research results showed a significant positive relationship between the use of learning models“writing in the here and now” to improve students' memory skills in the history of Islamic culture subject with a 2-tailed significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The tests (Pre-test and post-test) proved this influence in which students’ memory scores in the experimental class was 7.50 became 10.88 or increased up to 3.33. On the other hand, the control class score was 7.46 became 9.15 or increased up to 1.69. This achievement is surely caused by students’ enthusiasm during the implementation of this learning model.

Abstract

Online Loan is one of the developing financial products in Indonesia. However, many illegal online lending problems are caused by a lack of financial literacy. The purpose of this study is to find out how far the knowledge of UIN North Sumatra students is about online loans and cases experienced by UIN North Sumatra students after using fintech. This study used data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study, researchers used data validity tests through data triangulation. The data analysis used draws on the Miles and Huberman model. In this study, there were 4 people as informants, consisting of UIN North Sumatra students who had made online loan transactions. The results showed that the positive side of online loans is that the procedure for borrowing money in online-based applications is easier and faster to meet their emergency fund.

Abstract

The development of this trilingual e-dictionary (Indonesian-English-Lampung) is expected to help children learn multi-languages and make it easier for children to learn Indonesian, English, and Lampung language. This study aimed to develop a trilingual e-dictionary (Indonesia-English-Lampung) for early childhood students’ at TK Pertiwi Metro. The study used a Research and Development approach, where the data were collected through questionnaire and interview. Qualitative data were analyzed using interactive analysis and quantitative data analysis used percentages. The research participants consisted of 25 Kindergarten teachers at TK Pertiwi Metro and TK PKK 1 Yosodadi Metro. The results showed that learning media in the form of e-dictionary is very needed to introduce languages to early childhood. The contents of trilingual e-dictionary consists of three volumes. Volume one consists of five themes: numbers, colors, fruits, vegetables, and animals. Volume two consists of four themes: family, human body, transportation, and profession. Volume three consists of four themes: classroom, bedroom, nature, and time. The total vocabulary of the entire volume is 158 vocabularies. Furthermore, the teachers’ responses toward the trilingual e-dictionary (Indonesia-English-Lampung) showed that 0% expressed disagreed, 10% less agreed, 41% agreed, and 49% strongly agreed. The average score is 3,38 and, if converted on a table with a scale of 4, includes into a very good category. Therefore, a trilingual e-dictionary (Indonesia-English-Lampung) is declared suitable to be used as an interactive media in learning languages for early childhood.

Abstract

As an educator, the teacher’s attitude and behavior are often played as role models for students. Unfortunately, there were few studies discussed this context and only focus on the process of object-based values formation, so that the teacher's qualifications as a subject tend to be neglected in scientific discussions. This study focuses on "How is the relevance of teachers exemplary in the process of forming religious student characters". To answer this question, this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by conducting structured observations and interviews with school principals and teachers. This study revealed that the formation of teachers' attitudes and behaviors as educators are very important in shaping students' characters to become more religious in addition to an intensive communication process.

Abstract

Teachers make various efforts to achieve educational goals, these include efforts to overcome the moral decadence of students. This study discusses the efforts of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in overcoming the moral decadence of students. By using field research, this research begins with observation, interviews as well as documentation related to the problem being analyzed. The use of field research aims to examine and find out the efforts of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in overcoming the moral decadence of students. This research showed that the efforts made by Islamic Religious Education teachers to overcome the moral decadence of students include preventive efforts, curative efforts, and nurturing efforts. These efforts create a more conducive school situation and a more communicative relationship between all concerned sides, among students, teachers, and the parents of students. The implication of efforts to overcome moral decadence made by all sides is how the process can be adjusted to the pattern and pace, as well as the rhythm of learner development.

Abstract

Tulang Bawang Regency is a district located in Lampung Province, Indonesia. As a regional government unit, Tulang Bawang Regency faces various challenges in managing its regional finances. The financial performance of the Regional Revenue Center in Tulang Bawang Regency is very important because it will affect the district's ability to provide public services to its people. Good financial performance will help in financing development projects, infrastructure development, health services, education, and various other important sectors that are needed by local communities. The challenge faced by Tulang Bawang Regency is the complexity of planning, managing, and allocating regional financial resources, especially Regional Original Income which is the main source of regional income. Apart from that, strategic policies implemented by the regional government also have a very important role in determining the financial performance of Tulang Bawang Regency. The main objective of this research is to determine the influence of strategic policies and Regional Original Income on the financial performance of the Regional Revenue Center in Tulang Bawang Regency. With a better understanding of the factors that influence regional financial performance, the Tulang Bawang Regency government can plan more effective policies to improve community welfare and regional development.

Abstract

The customary law of the people of Lampung in Sukadana District is guided by the Ketaro Adat Lappung which is a book used for the people of Lampung Pepadun. The Lampung Adat Ketaro Manuscript contains customary rules, regarding rules of conduct, marriage, appointment of counterweights, and fines and sanctions (Cepalo 12 (severe sanctions) and Cepalo 80 (ordinary sanctions)) for those who violate customary rules in indigenous peoples. This research is qualitative descriptive research (field research) with inductive thinking. The methods used were interviews, documentation, and observation. Respondents were obtained through purposive sampling techniques. Researchers use language translators in interviews. The implementation of Lampung customary law in relation to customary sanctions has been actualized. If someone violates customary law, he is obliged to report the customary elder regarding his mistake and apologize and repent, then the customary elders consult to decide on a sanction. After the sanction is paid, the pepadun will be upright again. Sanctions for violations, namely compensation for immaterial damages, payment of customary money to those affected, shame cover, apologies, various death sentences, exile (non-active) from society and placing the person outside the legal system. Factors influencing the implementation of Lampung's customary law are its customary law, customary law enforcers, means and facilities to support the implementation of customary law, society (HR), and culture/culture.
