Abstract

Textual enhancement technique is a technique that refers to the specific linguistics target through the text. The main purpose of this study was to determine whether the technique of using textual enhancement affects the students' grammar mastery, especially in the comparison degree material. Comparison degree is the process of comparing things, persons, or places through the level of quality, or relation and is formed by adjectives and adverbs. This research method was quantitative in the form of a pre-experimental design. There were 40 Indonesian Secondary School students participating in the study. They were randomly assigned to one control and one experimental group by 20 participants in each group. During the four-week period of the current study, the participants received the instructions and treatment. Then the experimental group was exposed to comparison degrees presented with four different textual enhancement techniques. The control group was exposed to comparison degrees used with a different technique (traditional technique) in teaching activities. The data were collected after instructional sessions during the four weeks through paragraphs focusing on comparison degrees production written by the participants. After the treatment, a comparison degree was also administered to the control group, as a posttest. The results showed that the textual enhancement technique can be an alternative strategy in learning English, significantly affecting Indonesian secondary school students’ comparison degrees.

Abstract

The clothing industry is very promising and the conditions for profit are in line with the rise of clothing trends or fashions in society. Departing from this, today there are small and medium businesses that produce clothes (convection) causing a great deal of market competition. This has resulted in many convection businesses not being able to develop or even experiencing setbacks. But behind the high market competition, there are still many convection businesses that are still able to maintain their existence or even develop, one of which is the Abu Bakar Convection business. Departing from this, the purpose of conducting this research is to find out the factors that influence the development of the Abu Bakar Convection business. According to Hendro, there are 8 factors that can affect business development, namely opportunity factors, human resources, finance and administration, organization, planning, business management, marketing and sales, and government assistance.This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, there are 6 factors that influence the development of the Abu Bakar Convection business, namely opportunity factors, human resources, organization, planning, business management, and marketing and sales.The results of this study can be used as a basis for making policies for business owners of Abu Bakar Convection to improve their business development and can also be used as learning for prospective entrepreneurs, especially in the convection sector.

Abstract

This paper examines the eco-theologycal value of Serat Kalatidha by Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita. The ancient Javanese manuscript Serat Kalatidha is studied with a philosophical approach. The purpose of this study is to reveal the eco-theologycal value contained in Serat Kalatidha. This study adopted a library qualitative research methodology. The primary data source used was Serat Kalatidha by Ranggawarsita and secondary data sources were journal manuscripts, research results related to this paper. The data that has been collected is processed using philology, then the next step is data analysis with descriptive analytic. Fiber Kalatidha, reminds that humans will always be responsible for their environment so that they are in harmony with the purposes of the caliph on earth and God's creatures.

Abstract

Nashiruddin Ath-Thusi (1202-1274 M /597- 672 H) is better known as an astronomer than a philosopher, this is because he built an observatory Rasad Khanah in Maragha Azerbaijan, his work in philosophy was the endeavor and pioneer of the revival movement (revivalis), for trying to revive Ibn Sina's philosophical concept which had sunk due to the "thought" of Al-Ghazali in his criticism (Review/Cash) to Ibnu Sina's books which are more specific in the bookAl-Isyarat wa Al-Tanbihat.According to Ath-Thusi as well as the opinion of Ibn Sina states that the theory of knowledge is a concept (tasawwur) or evaluation (tashdiq); the concept itself can be obtained through definitions and can also be obtained through syllogisms. Both definitions and syllogisms are two media to achieve knowledge. Conceptually in philosophical thought, neo-Platonic teachings, Ibn Sina, Suhrawardi, and Aristotle seem to greatly color the philosophical thought of ath-Thusi. From various aspects of the study, Ath-Thusi's philosophical thoughts are more reflected in ethical issues, household ethics, and political ethics. While the axiology of the philosophy of science, according to Nasiruddin Ath-Thusi, science is more about aspects and fields that are needed at this time, and provide benefits and bring good values ​​later in the hereafter, and epistemologically must be sourced from Kitabullah.

Abstract

The fishermen community is a society that lives in the area around the coast which depends on fishery products for their life. The fishermen community consists of businessmen and labors. In obtaining an uncertain income, they are also faced with unstable market price conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic making the socio-economic conditions of fishermen even more difficult. This study aims to analyze the socio-economic conditions of the fishermen community in Cabang Village, Bandar Surabaya District, Central Lampung. The type of research used is qualitative with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation and are supported by literature studies. The results of the study show that there are problems related to work and fishermen's income and education. There is a shift in the profession from fishermen to motorcycle taxi, construction workers and others, to make ends meet. This is due to the non-fulfillment of the economic needs of fishermen families. Apart from that, there have been no significant changes in the education sector, but only followed local government regulations regarding technical online learning. The good news, as time went on and the Covid-19 pandemic passed, the socio-economic conditions of fishermen began to improve and rise from adversity. These conditions looked better and returned to normal when compared to during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Campaign funding is one of the determining factors for victory in the 2020 Lampung Tengah district head election competition. The transparency and accountability of campaign finance reports greatly determine the integrity of elections in Indonesia. This paper examines the campaign finance reports of the candidates for the 2020 election for regent and deputy regent of Central Lampung with a focus on aspects of receiving campaign funds, as well as compliance with applicable campaign finance regulations. Through a qualitative method using secondary data, in the form of a Report on Acceptance of Campaign Fund Contributions (LPSDK) it was found that the receipt of campaign funds for the 2020 pair of candidates for regent and deputy regent of Central Lampung was dominated by donations from candidate pairs and individual donations. The audit results show that the majority of candidate pairs are still not transparent and do not comply with campaign finance rules. Weak sanctions are suspected to be one of the causes, in addition to campaign finance regulations that have not regulated limits on campaign contributions from political parties and candidate pairs, as well as limits on spending on campaign funds so that the principle of equality and the principles of election justice are violated.

Abstract

Marketing mix is a stimulus given by the school to parents to influence parents' decisions in choosing a school. While school’s brand image is an additional stimulus that can strengthen parents' decisions in choosing schools. This study aims to see the influence of education services and school’s brand image in influencing parents' decisions to choose schools. This study is associative quantitative research with a sample of 21 parents of Junior High School Muhammadiyah Metro Pusat students. This study used questionnaires as a data collection method with statement items totalling 51 questions. Researchers completed validity tests, reliability tests, classification assumption tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the multiple linear regression test Marketing mix and School’s Brand Image Variable have positive value and have a partial effect on the decision to choose a school. The results of the f-test have concluded that the Marketing Mix and School’s Brand Image together affect the decision to choose a school.

Abstract

The students was the lack of enthusiasm for English learning. Students sometimes get bored in learning process. The purpose of this research was to improve how to get well students at SMP TMI RQ Metro in acquire English vocabulary material for class VIII A. The researchers used classroom action research, either in Cycle I and Cycle II. Data was collected through observation, interviews, tests and documentation. The result showed that 9 out of 20 students passed with a percentage of 45% in the observation cycle I. 11 students with a completeness level of 55% were students who did not complete. with an average value of 70.75. Hence, the classical completeness of the first cycle is 45%. It was observed that 80% of 20 students, 16 of which completed it during the second cycle. Four students with a 20% completion rate did not complete the course. with an average of 80 points. As a result, a typical cycle II is 80% complete. In other words, the results of the second cycle of observations succeeded in obtaining the KKM score that had been determined by the school and the completeness of the learning objectives for students.Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes, Vocabulary Material, Alphabet Games

Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah are organizations that have a large number of members, so an appropriate formula is needed to unify perceptions of how the nation and state live, and how efforts are made to fortify its members from the influence of the swift currents of globalization, including their students. Based on this, the authors are interested in conducting research to find out about the implementation of national values ​​in NU and Muhammadiyah students in Lampung Province. This study uses a type of qualitative research, and uses two data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from education managers within NU and Muhammadiyah, NU and Muhammadiyah administrators and students. Secondary data is obtained from documents in the form of books, brochures, reports and so on. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques with inductive thinking methods and descriptive analysis. The national values ​​of NU and Muhammadiyah students look quite good and can influence the mindset of students, including by increasing a high sense of nationalism and always maintaining unity and oneness. This implementation can be seen in the existence of material on understanding national values, which is always carried out either directly or indirectly in every activity. The national values ​​given include religion, kinship, mutual cooperation, tolerance between religious communities and fellow religious people and always maintaining the unity and integrity of the nation.

Abstract

Learning material of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in class VII MTs Diniyyah Pasia only came from books which were not relevant to students' needs. Therefore, the development of valid, effective and practical SKI based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) teaching materials is absolutely necessary. This study aims to develop SKI teaching materials based on higher order thinking skills. The methodology used in this research is research and development. The development technique uses a case based reasoning system. The series of learning activities use a scientific approach that is integrated with the 2013 curriculum. The learning models used are problem-based learning, contextual-based learning, and comprehensive concept understanding. The teaching materials that have been developed have met the validity test requirements with a test score of 96% based on expert/lecturer assessments. This teaching materials module has a practicality test score of 91.4% and is declared very practical. This teaching material module is also declared effective with a correlation value of 0.78 and has an influence of 78% on improving student learning outcomes.
