Abstract

Depression is defined as a condition when people has a prolonged feeling of uselessness and a thought of suicide, and hard to expressed their feelings. Based on pre-research data, it was found that the age of 12 – 24 is an age where symptoms of depression appear, and potentially lead to suicide. This is due to the lack of literacy and public awareness of depression, which has eventually led to various stigma in public, thus cause the community's function as a support system was not going well. Communities in this case are people who are close to people with depression has strong influence to help them through the healing process. One important role of the community is providing accompaniment and mental support for people with depression, so they do not feel alone. Therefore, a good understanding and awareness is needed for the community to become a good support system for people with depression. In order to increase the public awareness and convey messages related to depression, the creator of the work did a campaign "Kenali Aku" that used The Nine Steps for Strategic Planning of Public Relations concept by Ronald D. Smith. This campaign has several activities such as education through social media, social experiment, and seminars (education that conducted in three regions in DKI Jakarta).

Abstract

Semarang City, as a capital city of a province in Indonesia, has experienced intensive rural or suburban migration to urban robinareas. Consequently, the land surface temperature (LST) is getting warmer in urbanized areas and leading to microscale temperature variation from time to time. The objectives of this study are 1) to investigate the geographical distribution of LST and vegetation covers in Semarang, and 2) to map microscale urban ecological condition with regards to LST based on urban thermal field variance index (UTFVI). Landsat 8 data was utilized to derive LST as well as vegetation covers by means of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). Next, UTFVI was classified based LST. This study revealed that relatively low NDVI values which mainly consists of built up areas and grassland are predominantly concentrated in the northern and central parts of Semarang. High NDVI values representing vegetation covers are predominantly located in the southern portion of Semarang. The most ecologically depressed areas are mainly distributed in the central portions of the city toward the northern portions of coastal areas. Prioritized sub-districts to be ecologically restored are Ngaliyan, Semarang Utara and Semarang Barat. Upcoming studies should emphasize on finding suitable measures to restore ecologically stressed areas.

Abstract

The research is aimed to know : How is the effectiveness of the use of media learning 3D Hologram in improving outcomes study participant students in SMA Negeri 2 Majene . The method of research is using research experiments with design research nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design . The subjects in this study were students of class XII IPS in SMA Negeri 2 Majene . Technique   analysis of the data in the study using the help of SPSS 24 for windows. To test the hypothesis used -t test ( independent samples t test ). The results of the study end showed that H 0 : μ 1 = μ 2 rejected and H A : μ 1 > μ 2 is received , so it can be concluded that the scores of students who use the medium of 3D hologram is higher than the students who get teaching is conventional . Advice for teachers who want to use the medium of learning 3D hologram of this can be done as an alternative to increasing the power attractiveness of participant learners against the material of learning . Suggested also conducted research over further to : a) examine the effectiveness of the use of 3D hologram media in mataeri, variables, as well as different locations, b) developing a 3D hologram presentation models, not only in form but in the form of video applications.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago with a tropical climate with very high rainfall. In the rainy season floods occur which cause losses, namely loss of life and property. This condition is a routine disaster that always threatens people's lives. Therefore, research needs to be done to identify flood-prone areas and flood-causing factors in the Maros River Basin. The method used to determine flood-prone areas is used by a combination of remote sensing, terrestrial, secondary data and interviews using the criteria of Sutikno et al (1995) with development. The variables used topography (flat and sloping), soil texture, drainage, inundation time and flood return period. The analysis shows that in the Maros watershed there are 3 classes that are prone to flooding namely not prone, prone and very prone. Most are vulnerable because more than 50 percent of the area is at a vulnerable and very vulnerable level. The class is very prone to spread from downstream to the middle of the watershed, covering the southern sub-districts of Maros Baru, Marusu, Turikale, southern Bantimurung, western Simbang, northern Mandai and northern Tanralili. The contributing factors are high rainfall, flat and sloping topography, fine soil texture in the downstream river, poor drainage due to poor waste management, land use dominated by ponds and paddy fields and high flood return periods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perspective of Bajo fishermen on children's formal education, to describe the living conditions of Bajo Tribal fishermen and the factors that influence formal education for their children. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the Bajo Tribe fishing community and the Bajo Tribe customary leader. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, interviews, literature review and research documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Bajo tribe has fairly adequate living conditions. In addition, the livelihood of the Bajo tribe still expects a large portion of their income from marine products. The Bajo are a minority ethnic group and are closed to other tribes. The life of the Bajo tribe which had always been difficult resulted in many of their children dropping out of school. Besides they also have to help their parents at sea. So that disrupt their learning activities and even cause them to drop out of school. In terms of motivating their children to go to school, only a small portion of Bajo fishermen pay attention to their children for school. Economically and the ability of the Bajo to finance their children to go to school is still quite low. It is not education that is their main goal but how to support their families.
