Abstract

This study is motivated by the futuristic interior design and attractive facilities of the University of Indonesia (UI) Library, which create a comfortable environment. However, statistical data show a significant decline in student visits between September and December 2023. This phenomenon raises questions about the factors influencing users' experiences, particularly their perceptions of the library's interior design, which should ideally enhance comfort and increase visitation. This research is essential to understand how interior design affects user perception and visit rates, and to provide recommendations for improvements that could boost the library's appeal among students. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, literature review, and documentation. The population consists of 15,190 student users of UI Library, and based on Isaac and Michael's formula, a sample of 284 respondents was obtained. Accidental sampling was used as the sampling technique. The results show that users' perceptions of the interior design elements averaged 3, while the interior design principles received an average score of 3.33. Overall, the users' perception of the library's interior design averaged 3.29, falling within the "very good" range (3.28-4.03). Although the general perception is positive, the lowest scores were found in the air temperature aspect (2.63) of the design elements and in the proportion aspect (3.09) of the design principles. Therefore, it is recommended that librarians improve the aspects with the lowest scores to enhance user comfort and maintain the positive perceptions of the library.

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed various sectors, including the field of library and information science. Libraries, as custodians of knowledge and cultural heritage, are increasingly utilizing AI to enhance their services, particularly in the realm of digital promotions. However, there remains a significant challenge in making these promotions accessible to all users, especially those with disabilities. Despite advancements in AI, digital content produced by libraries often lacks inclusivity, particularly in catering to the needs of users with disabilities. This gap not only limits access to library services but also hinders the broader mission of libraries to serve diverse communities. This study aims to explore how AI can be leveraged by librarians to create more inclusive and accessible digital promotions. By examining the current practices of digital promotion on social media platforms such as Instagram and X by the National Library of Indonesia, this research seeks to identify effective strategies that can be adopted to enhance accessibility. Abstract

In Indonesia’s social security program (JKN), there are more than 1,6 million visits in primary care providers each day. Indonesia's Social Security Administrative Body for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) manages the healthcare data recorded by the providers. In late 2019, the new Performance-Based Capitation (KBK) was introduced to primary care providers. They are assessed every month before the due for capitation payment. There are three indicators in the KBK scheme which are contact rate, non-specialty referral ratio, and proportion of PROLANIS disease management program members with controlled clinical outcome (PROLANIS indicator. This study analyzes data insights of KBK through big data analysis to determine whether the policy shows improvement of primary care providers. It is a non-experimental big-data analysis by observational descriptive method. Data was retrieved from BPJS Kesehatan Business Intelligence program. There has been improvement in the indicator target achievement every year. However, only non-specialty referral ratio has reached the intended target. In July 2024, contact rate reached 149,56%, non-specialty referral ratio reached 0,85%, and PROLANIS indicator reached 4,71%.. KBK data shows the policy has improved quality of primary care providers. Further collaboration among all stakeholders is needed to increase the achievement.

Abstract

The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) is a widely implemented classification system in most libraries. However, its usage has declined over the past four decades, and libraries are advised to undergo reclassification. Conversely, it is recognized that the implementation of specialized classification systems significantly impacts information retrieval. Therefore, the aim of this study is to elucidate the concept and methodology behind the integration of bespoke categorization frameworks within diverse libraries across Indonesia over the past decade. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and the Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, and Context (PICOC) framework to analyze ideas, schemes, processes, and challenges in implementing specialized classification systems. Scientific articles sourced from Google Scholar were utilized for the review. Ten scientific articles were selected for analysis after successfully passing the literature quality assessment stage. The data were examined and analyzed by describing the research content, addressing issues in its formulation, and drawing conclusions from the scientific articles. According to the study's findings, the development of a specialized classification system is contingent upon the interpretation of ideas, the nature of collections, and the complexity of their contents. The primary distinction between utilizing a specialized classification system and a general classification system lies in the ease of the process. The application of a specialized classification system in various Indonesian libraries is based on ideological, practical, and empirical considerations.

Abstract

Sharenting is a term that refers to the behavior of parents who routinely share their children's activities in visual form (photos or videos) through various social media platforms. This study aims to explore the influence of parents' digital literacy skills and risk perception on sharenting activities on social media. This study adopted a quantitative method using survey technique as the data collection instrument. By applying the snowball sampling method, 70 participants were involved in filling out the questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted by utilizing IBM SPSS Statistic software version 26.. The results of this study yielded several important findings: (1) the level of digital literacy shows a significant negative correlation with sharenting practices, indicating that an increase in parents' digital literacy ability decreases their tendency to practice sharenting; (2) risk perception has a significant positive influence on sharenting behavior, meaning that the higher parents' awareness of risk, the higher the frequency of sharenting. This reflects the phenomenon known as privacy paradox, where knowledge of potential dangers does not reduce the sharing of children's content; and (3) parents' digital literacy and risk perception simultaneously have a significant influence on sharenting practices with a total contribution of 48.8%.
