Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a phenomenon and strategies used by the company to accommodate the needs of stakeholder (Santoso, 2016). One of the agencies implementing CSR is KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat. The purpose of this research is to discover the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in Bank Indonesia Mengajar Program by KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat. The method used in this research is descriptive study with qualitative approach and paradigm of positivistic. The technique of data collected by through in-depth interview, observation, documentation and literature study. This research showed that in the planning phase of Bank Indonesia Mengajar Program was in line with various aspects such as the program implementation regulation was listed in “Peraturan Dewan Gubernur No.14/14/PDG/2012 concerning about PSBI Program”, the vision and mission of Bank Indonesia. However, KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat was not doing a research as a part of planning phase. In implementation phase of Bank Indonesia Mengajar Program, has been running well. The obstacles in implementing program just only occurred in technical matters. In the checking phase, KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat do the checking with the form of a report and given the report to two parties, namely internal leaders and external stakeholder. Last in the evaluation phase, evaluation carried out after the program was done. The evaluation carried out in two forms, that is formal evaluation do in the form of meeting with leaders and non-formal in the form of discussions with the implementing team. However, in the evaluation phase stakeholder were not involved. Suggestion for KPw Bank Indonesia Jawa Barat, it would be better if they are do the research as a part of planning program and involves the stakeholders in the evaluation phase of Bank Indonesia Mengajar program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji terkait upaya manajemen arsip statistik pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung, penelitian ini dilakukan karena memang sebagai bukti bahwa pentingnya sebuah pelestarian arsip statistik yang memang bernilai sejarah. Bukti bahwa adanya arsip statistik yang dikelola dengan baik oleh dinas di tiap daerah, sebagai kepedulian terhadap sumber sejarah di daerah tersebut. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penemuan yaitu dalam upaya menjaring atau mengakuisisi arsip, dilakukan sebuah program untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait pentingnya arsip. Pihak lain juga diikutsertakan dalam membantu menjaring arsip, arsip yang telah menjadi koleksi resmi tentu akan dikelola dan dilakukan upaya pemeliharaan fisik arsip dengan baik secara berkala. Pelayanan kepada pengguna arsip juga perlu dilakukan, karena arsip statistik bernilai sejarah perlu disebarluaskan kepada generasi mendatang.

Abstract

The internet is a dish of technological innovation today. Cyberbullying is a network-based bullying crime by utilizing internet media. Cyberbullying is more experienced by teenage children below the age of 18 years. This study aims to determine the role of internet literacy in overcoming cyberbullying cases. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with literature study approach. The results of this study indicate the ability of internet literacy can be a real solution in preventing cyberbullying. Internet literacy education can be applied in formal institutions that are aligned with computer science subjects where students are not only able to operate but are also able to use the internet wisely, properly and correctly as a medium to meet the information needs and supporting communication media among humans.

Abstract

A library is a building that manages various information and provides information services for visitors and users. Where, the facilities in a library building are very important and require special attention. The facilities in the library building of the representative office (KPw) of Bank Indonesia of West Java province include facilities that are quite complete and adequate. One of them is the availability of Kids Corner facilities. The research method used in making this article is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. With the Kids Corner facility, the aim is that library visitors are expected to continue to grow or increase from various groups, both the general public and students, elementary, junior high and high school students, to children from kindergarten or PAUD.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the importance of digitizing archives in this digital era to maintain the efficiency and accessibility of archives. The research method used is research with a qualitative approach to literature studies, interviews and observations. Primary data was obtained by observing the Cimahi City Static Archives website and literature study, while secondary data was obtained from interviews conducted with Expert Archivists at the Cimahi City Archives Service. The results of this study indicate that digitizing archives is an important step in maintaining archives that have historical value, so that the information contained in these archives can be preserved for the future. This digitization of archives can overcome problems in archive management such as a lack of efficiency in archive management and lack of accessibility to obtain information from existing archives. The Cimahi City Archives Service has made efforts to digitize archives related to the main performance index of the Cimahi City Archives Service itself, namely to increase community literacy and adapt to technological developments. Improving community literacy is carried out by presenting publications that can be a source of information for the public regarding history in Cimahi City, thus history in Cimahi City continues to be passed on to future generations because it has been stored in a digital media.

Abstract

                                           AbstrakTujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menjelaskan lebih detail mengenai kegiatan konservasi preventif yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan Fisip Unpad. Artikel ini memakai metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Konservasi preventif merupakan faktor utama dalam melindungi bahan pustaka yang bertujuan untuk mencegah kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh lingkungan, biota, manusia, dan bencana. Kegiatan konservasi preventif menjadikan kondisi bahan pustaka tahan lama dan terjaga sehingga dapat mengurangi dana perbaikan dan pengadaan. Tentu saja, bahan pustaka yang tahan lama dan terjaga, akan indah dilihat dan tidak berbahaya bagi kesehatan. Kegiatan konservasi preventif terhadap bahan pustaka didukung oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain: gedung perpustakaan yang representative, dukungan infrastruktur, pustakawan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang mumpuni serta ketersediaan dana. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa konservasi preventif terhadap koleksi atau bahan pustaka di perpustakaan Fisip Unpad telah dilaksanakan, namun belum optimal karena fasilitas penunjang yang belum lengkap.Kata Kunci: Konservasi Preventif, Preservasi, Pelestarian Bahan Pustaka   AbstractThe purpose of this article is to explain in more detail the preventive conservation activities carried out by the Unpad Fisip library. This article uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. Preventive conservation is the main factor in protecting library materials which aims to prevent damage caused by the environment, biota, humans, and disasters. Preventive conservation activities make the condition of library materials durable and maintained so as to reduce repair and procurement funds. Of course, library materials that are durable and well preserved, will be beautiful to look at and not harmful to health. Preventive conservation activities on library materials are supported by several factors, including: a representative library building, infrastructure support, librarians who have good knowledge and skills and the availability of funds. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that preventive conservation of collections or library materials in the Unpad Fisip library has been implemented, but has not been optimal due to incomplete supporting facilities.Keywords: Preservation, Preventive Conservation, Preservation of Library Materials

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan artikel ini untuk memberikan penjelasan mengenai kegiatan restorasi pada koleksi Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Ilmu Politik di Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif untuk dapat menggambarkan fenomena yang terjadi. Pesatnya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menjadikan suatu informasi menjadi hal penting yang dibutuhkan. Perlu adanya suatu dukungan dari berbagai media seperti perpustakaan, perpustakaan sendiri merupakan suatu lembaga penting bagi kehidupan setiap individu. Oleh karena itu, bahan pustaka yang tersedia di dalam perpustakaan harus dilestarikan dan dijaga dengan baik seperti melakukan kegiatan restorasi. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan guna memperbaiki bahan pustaka yang sudah rusak menjadi ke bentuk awal aslinya, tujuannya agar dapat digunakan dan dimanfaatkan oleh pengguna perpustakaan dalam jangka waktu yang panjang.Kata Kunci: Kegiatan Restorasi Koleksi Perpustakaan. AbstractThe purpose of this article is to provide an explanation of restoration activities in the collection of the Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor. The method used is a descriptive research method to be able to describe the phenomena that occur. The rapid development of science and technology makes information an important thing that is needed. There needs to be support from various media such as libraries, libraries themselves are an important institution for the life of every individual. Therefore, the library materials available in the library must be preserved and maintained properly such as carrying out restoration activities. This activity is carried out to repair library materials that have been damaged to their original form, the purpose is to be used and utilized by library users in the long term.Keywords: Library Collection Restoration Activities

Abstract

The existence of libraries in inclusive schools is regulated in Indonesian legislation. Its management needs to be considered so that its existence can support each student with various special needs. This study aimed to identify the role of the library in helping to foster the speaking skills of students with Down syndrome (DS) with a qualitative approach and case study method. Data were collected through observation of one student with DS, interviews with one teacher in charge of the library, one class teacher, and one principal, and voice recording documentation from three informants. Triangulation data analysis was conducted to examine findings of data sources from observations and interviews, and reference documentation in the form of inclusive school library management standards. The inclusive school library provided collections of fiction, non-fiction, serial publications, and reference collections. Children with DS most often used fiction collections in the form of picture storybooks. The facilities and infrastructure of the inclusive school library are similar to school libraries in general. The predominant service provided and carried out by library staff – who are also teachers, is storytelling - telling stories from books chosen by students with DS to help develop an interest in reading and foster verbal communication. The library is used by teachers in learning activities, carrying out motor skills such as arranging books, thickening lines in books provided at school, playing on computer tablets, coloring, and developing cognitive abilities to recognize letters and connect letters; this helps foster speaking skills of students with DS.

Abstract

Background of the study: In the rapidly developing digital era, the implementation of technology in archival systems has become inevitable. Archive systems are no longer limited to storing physical documents on shelves or filing cabinets, they have evolved into complex and integrated digital systems. Purpose: This research aims to investigate the benefits and disadvantages of implementing technology in archive systems. Method: This research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify and analyze relevant articles about the implementation of technology in archive systems. This research is limited to articles published in the last five years in the Scopus database. Findings: The findings of this research reveal that the implementation of technology in archive systems provides significant benefits in terms of efficiency and information accessibility. However, it also presents risks and challenges such as high implementation costs, vulnerability to information security breaches, and risk of data loss. Conclusion: Although the implementation of technology in archival systems promises many benefits, organizations must carefully consider the associated risks and challenges. By better understanding the implications of these steps, organizations can make better decisions in their records management.

Abstract

Preservation is a series of activities that include maintenance, care, preservation, and prevention of collection materials. The essence of the existence of preservation activities is to ensure that the information content is in a good condition to be used or accessed in an unspecified time. The purpose of this study is to determine the preservation activities carried out on collection materials at the IKOPIN University Library. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observation, and literature study. Interviews were conducted with 2 resource persons, namely the Head of the IKOPIN University Library and the user. Interviews and observations were carried out directly. The data analysis carried out is the data analysis model by Miles and Huberman which consists of 3 stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that the IKOPIN Library has carried out a series of preservation activities. The activities carried out were packaging books with plastic covers, bookbinding, cleaning book collections, transfer of collection materials, environmental control, temperature regulation, lighting regulation, hygiene monitoring, and awareness training on preservation activities. In the research conducted, it was also found that the factors causing damage to collections in the IKOPIN library were the main factors, namely book characteristics and human factors. The conclusion from the research is that the IKOPIN library has an awareness of the importance of preservation activities, therefore the IKOPIN library has carried out preservation activities both actively, passively, and preventively. The preservation implementation found 2 obstacles, namely in the field of HR (Human Resources) and the field of funding.
