Abstract

Inquiry learning is an effective method in training students to develop knowledge, skills, and practices. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of inquiry learning method in the context of geography lessons, especially in relation to critical thinking skills, learning achievement, and student self-efficacy. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a population of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Leihitu, and the class sample was selected through purposive sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of tests to measure learning achievement and critical thinking skills, and questionnaires to assess self-efficacy. The data obtained were analyzed using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test. The results showed that there were significant differences in critical thinking skills, learning achievement, and self-efficacy of students after applying the geography inquiry learning method, with a significance value of t less than 0.05, so the null hypothesis (𝐻0) was rejected. In conclusion, the geography inquiry learning method is proven to be effective and practical to be applied in learning in high school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of test items given to grade 5 elementary school students in the even semester. This study used a qualitative approach carried out in several schools with different categories of questions, namely thematic questions and subject questions. The data collected included exam questions and student answers which were then analyzed using Microsoft Excel technology to determine the quality level of the questions tested. This analysis includes an evaluation of the validity, reliability, difficulty level, and differentiating power of each item. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance to educators and teachers in designing high-quality exam questions. Thus, it is expected that the questions prepared are not only in accordance with the curriculum, but also able to measure students' abilities accurately and fairly. This is important so that learners can understand and answer questions according to their capacity and skills. This research also contributes to efforts to improve the quality of education, especially in the preparation of more effective and meaningful evaluations.

Abstract

The curriculum is an important educational component, serving as a guide for the teaching and learning process, which must be continuously adapted to the times. Currently, the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia has launched a new curriculum, namely the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools as a basic education level. The research was conducted through observations at SDN 244 Guruminda, SDN 235 Lengkong Kecil, and SDN 094 Parakan Waas, the driving schools required to implement the Merdeka Curriculum. Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in these schools is motivated by a government policy that sets the driving school as a pioneer in implementing this curriculum. However, the observation results show that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum has not been fully effective. This is due to several factors, including the fact that the Merdeka Curriculum is still relatively new, so there needs to be more time to see a significant impact on the quality of education. It's important to acknowledge the challenges faced in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. These include teachers' readiness to adopt new learning approaches, the availability of adequate resources, and students' adaptation to more flexible and independent learning methods. Understanding these challenges is the first step towards overcoming them and ensuring the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research contributes to providing an initial picture of the effectiveness of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in primary schools. The findings of this study can be used as evaluation material for policymakers, educators, and school administrators, empowering them to improve the Merdeka Curriculum and provide practical recommendations for schools that will or are implementing this curriculum. Thus, the results of this study are expected to help create an education system that is more responsive and adaptive to the needs of the times, improve the quality of learning, and advance education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze whether or not there is an effect of reciprocal teaching learning model assisted by resitation on students' learning outcomes. The population in this research is all students of class XI IPS SMAN 10 Mataram, whose samples are taken randomly after class matching. The approach used is quantitative with quasi experiment research type with pretest - posttest control group design. The collection of information using multiple option tests that have met the provisions of instrument testing. Information analysis uses descriptive statistics. There is also a test of information requirements tested using the normality test and homogeneity test. The results of this research show that there is an effect of the reciprocal teaching learning model assisted by resitation on learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.028 < 5% (0.05). The N-Gain score test results prove that the experimental class has a greater value than the control class as measured by cognitive aspects C1, C2, C3, C4, C5. The theoretical implication is that the use of this model strengthens the learning theory, especially the constructivistic theory.
