Jurnal Pembangunan Pendidikan: Fondasi & Aplikasi (JPPFA) is interested in comparative studies that lead to new insights and challenge of orthodox theories; that have potential for policy impact; and that apply to broad range of settings, including industrial democracies as well as low and middle income countries, countries in political transition and countries recovering from armed conflict and social unrest. JPPFA also considers papers that look at education and development through the policies and practices of official development assistance and commercial education trade. JPPFA engages these approaches to deepen the understanding of the relationship between education policy and development.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar hingga saat ini belum efektif. Pada kenyataannya banyak permasalahan terkait dengan pelaksanaan pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Padahal, perkembangan itu sendiri sangat bermanfaat bagi siswa SD, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain Factorial Group Design (FGD) dengan 2 kategori. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan two way anova, dengan bantuan komputer yaitu: program SPSS for Windows versi 24. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, yaitu: 1.) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris antara metode learning by conversation dan metode konvensional siswa kelas 4 St. SDK. Mary; 2.) Tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris antara siswa kelas 4 SDK St. Mary dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi dan kepercayaan diri rendah; dan 3.) Tidak ada interaksi metode dengan kepercayaan diri terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa inggris.AbstractThe implementation of English learning in elementary schools until now has not been effective. In reality, there are many problems related to the implementation of the development of learning English. The research method used in this class action research is an experimental method with a Factorial Group Design (FGD) design with two categories. The data analysis technique in this research uses Two Way Anova, with the help of a computer called the SPSS for Windows version 24 program. The results of the study can be concluded: 1.) There is a difference in English learning achievement between the Learning by Conversation method and the conventional method of Grade 4 students of St. SDK. Mary; 2.) There is no difference in English learning achievement between high self-confidence and low self-confidence of students of grade 4 SDK St. Mary; 3.) There is no interaction of methods with confidence in learning achievement in English.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakter yang ada dalam pembelajaran matematika dan menganalisis metakognitif siswa saat belajar matematika dikaitkan dengan teori neurosains sehingga pembelajaran di sekolah dapat diterima dan diikuti siswa sesuai dengan cara kerja otak mereka, serta terciptanya generasi yang berkarakter. Metode yang digunakan pada kajian ini adalah studi literature dengan cara menguraikan, merangkum dan mengkonstruk gagasan dari beberapa sumber baik berupa teori maupun hasil penelitian yang relevan. Dari hasil kajian ini didapatkan bahwa terdapat beberapa hal yang mendukung proses metakognitif sebagai pedoman pengelolaan pembelajaran di kelas diantaranya; (1) kontrol emosi, dengan menciptkan suasana emosi senang, (2) kontrol kognitif, dengan memilih metode yang mendukung kinerja otak, dan (3) kontrol motorik, dengan melibatkan gerak fisik dalam proses pembelajaran, (4) keterampilan metakognitif mendorong siswa untuk melakukan semua tindakan pembelajaran tanpa rasa takut disalahkan oleh orang dewasa di sekitarnya. AbstractThis study aims to identify the characters that exist in mathematics learning and analyze the metacognitive students when learning mathematics is associated with the theory of neuroscience so that learning in schools can be accepted and followed by students in accordance with the workings of their brains, and the creation of generations with character. The method used in this study is a literature study by outlining, summarizing and constructing ideas from several sources in the form of theories and relevant research results. From the results of this study it was found that there are several things that support the metacognitive process as a guideline for managing classroom learning including; (1) emotional control, by creating a happy emotional atmosphere, (2) cognitive control, by choosing methods that support brain performance, and (3) motor control, by involving physical motion in the learning process, (4) metacognitive skills encourage students to do all fearless learning actions are blamed by the surrounding adults

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan pengalaman belajar yang berlangsung dalam lingkungan sepanjang hidup sebagai usaha sadar yang dilakukan oleh keluarga sebagai pusat utama, masyarakat dan pemerintah melalui kegiatan bimbingan baik secara formal maupun nonformal, guna mencapai pribadi yang integral dan utuh. Sejarah telah menjadi salah satu landasan dari pendidikan di Indonesia dan dunia. Perubahan tujuan dan motif pendidikan dari masa ke masa menandakan adanya pengaruh sejarah dalam usaha menjadikan pendidikan dihari esok lebih baik lagi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji sejarah pendidikan dunia dan Indonesia serta mengetahui implikasi sejarah terhadap pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian adalah sejarah berimplikasi pada  tujuan, proses, maupun inovasi dalam pendidikan.AbstractEducation is an experience that lasts a lifetime of a conscious effort by the family as the primary center, society, and government through tutoring activities both formal and nonformal, in order to achieve an integral and intact person. The purpose of this study is to review the history of Indonesia and the world’s education and to know the historical implications of education. This research method using the literature study method. Abstract

Ketercapaian dan suksesnya sebuah proses pembelajaran dapat dilihat dari nilai hasil belajar yang diperoleh oleh siswa. Pembelajaran dikatakan berhasil apabila siswa memperoleh atau mencapai nilai-nilai yang telah sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Namun sebaliknya, rendahnya hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan tidak tercapai dan suksesnya proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dan motivasi belajar degan hasil belajar mata pela-jaran ekonomi pada siswa MA Sarji Ar-Rasyid Situbondo tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 59 siswa. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan korelasi Pearson product moment, korelasi ganda, dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1.) Tidak ada hubungan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dan hasil belajar dengan r hitung -0,207 r tabel 0,254; 2.) Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar dengan r hitung 0,366 r tabel 0,254; dan 3.) Terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan  rYX1X2 0,882 r tabel 0,254. Pada taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh hasil F hitung 4,080 F tabel 3,16. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis (Ho) ditolak, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan interpersonal dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar ekonomi siswa MA Sarji Ar-Rasyid tahun pelajaran 2020/2021.Relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning motivation with economic learning outcomes AbstractThe achievement and success of a learning process can be seen from the value of learning outcomes obtained by students. Learning is said to be successful if students obtain/achieve values that are in accordance with the learning objectives. On the other hand, the low student learning outcomes indicate that the learning process is not achieved and the success of the learning process. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning motivation with learning outcomes in economics subjects at MA Sarji Ar-Rasyid Situbondo students in the 2020/2021 school year. Quantitative research methods were used in this study with a sampling technique using a population. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The total population of this study was 59 students. Hypothesis testing using Pearson product-moment correlation, multiple correlations, and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that: 1.) There is no relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning outcomes with r count -0.207 r table 0.254; 2.) There is a relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes with r count 0.366 r table 0.254; and 3.) There is a relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning motivation with learning outcomes with rYX1X2 0.882 r table 0.254. At a significant level of 5%, the results obtained are F count 4.080 F table 3.16. The conclusion in this study is that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, meaning that there is a significant relationship between interpersonal intelligence and learning motivation and the economic learning outcomes of Sarji Ar-Rasyid's MA students in the 2020/2021 school year.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan siswa (student well-being) terkait dengan keadaan emosional yang berkelanjutan yang ditandai dengan suasana hati dan sikap positif, hubungan positif dengan siswa dan guru lain, ketahanan, optimisasi diri, dan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi dengan pengalaman belajar mereka di sekolah. Kesejahteraan siswa merupakan kompetensi yang bisa diajarkan melalui sebuah konsep, sehingga dapat memberikan pengalaman agar siswa memiliki kompetensi keterampilan sosial dan emosional. Salah satu konsep kesejahteraan siswa adalah konsep PROSPER. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan implementasi PROSPER terhadap kesejahteraan siswa dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian yang berupa studi kepustakaan (library research). Teknik pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menelusuri secara online sumber-sumber berupa buku, makalah atau artikel, jurnal dan referensi literatur ilmiah melalui database Google Scholar dan ERIC Institute of Education Science. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan metode content analysis. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan implementasi PROSPER dalam menciptakan kesejahteraan siswa dimasa pandemi Covid-19 meliputi 1.) Inovasi guru dalam menggunakan multimedia online dalam pembelajaran daring; 2.) membangun komunikasi yang efektif dan persuasif kepada siswa; 3.) Mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan kecakapan hidup terhadap Covid-19; dan 4.) Senantiasa memberikan motivasi dan dukungan kepada peserta didik.Can the PROSPER concept build student wellbeing in the era of pandemics?AbstractStudent well-being is associated with an ongoing emotional state characterized by positive moods and attitudes, positive relationships with other students and teachers, resilience, self-optimization, and high levels of satisfaction with their learning experiences at school. Student welfare is a competency that can be taught through a concept so that it can provide an experience so that students have social and emotional skill competencies. One of the concepts of student welfare is the PROSPER concept. This study aims to explain the implementation of PROSPER on student welfare during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a type of research in the form of library research. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by searching online for sources in the form of books, papers or articles, journals, and scientific literature references through the Google Scholar and ERIC Institute of Education Science database. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of the study show that the implementation of PROSPER in creating student welfare during the covid-19 pandemic includes 1.) Teacher innovation in using online multimedia in online learning; 2.) Build effective and persuasive communication to students; 3.) Linking the subject matter with life skills against covid-19; and 4.) Always provide motivation and support to students.

Abstract

Instructional leadership is strategically used to improve the quality of learning. This leadership style is leadership oriented to improve the quality of learning. Instructional leadership policy becomes the parameter of the school in improving the quality of learners' learning outcomes. The purpose of the study was: to know and analyze the influence of instructional leadership models on improving learning activity on student learning outcomes. This research uses the quantitative research method. Data collection using research instruments by disseminating questionnaires using google form. The results of this study are: (1) there is an influence of the instructional leadership model on improving the activeness of learners' learning, (2) there is an influence of the instructional leadership model on learners' learning outcomes, and (3) there is an influence of instructional leadership on improving the activeness of learning and learning outcomes of learners. It can be concluded that instructional leadership is effective in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui bagaimana teori konstruktivisme diimplem-entasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA melalui pemanfaatan bahan ajar elektronik berupa e-book multimedia interaktif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 peserta didik SMP, yang mengikuti mata pelajaran IPA pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya, tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMP Negeri di kota Yogyakarta. Teknik observasi dan perekaman video dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran di kelas saat menggunakan bahan ajar elektronik berupa e-book multimedia interaktif. Hasil observasi dan video dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori konstruktivisme dapat diimplementasikan sebagai pendekatan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran IPA. Adanya kegiatan diskusi yang dilakukan peserta didik dalam kelompoknya, menjadi salah satu ciri adanya penerapan teori konstruktivisme sosial. Ciri dari pembelajaran konstruktivisme lainnya yang terlihat dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik aktif membangun pengetahuannya sendiri dengan membaca materi ataupun mengamati gambar, animasi, dan video yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar elektronik.AbstractThis study aims to find out how constructivism theory is implemented in science learning through electronic teaching materials in the form of interactive multimedia e-books. This study involved 32 junior high school students who took science subjects in the subject of heat and its transfer in the 2019/2020 school year. The research was conducted at one of the state junior high schools in Yogyakarta. The observation and video recording techniques were carried out to find out how the learning process in the classroom when using electronic teaching materials in the form of interactive multimedia e-books. The results of observations and videos were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that constructivism theory could be implemented as an approach to integrating technology in science learning. The existence of discussion activities carried out by students in their groups is one of the characteristics of the application of social constructivism theory. Another characteristic of constructivist learning in this study is that students actively build their knowledge by reading material or observing images, animations, and videos contained in electronic teaching materials.

Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam belajar sebagian besar ditunjang oleh minat baca. Dengan adanya minat membaca dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak positif seperti peningkatan pemahaman membaca (reading comprehension). Akan tetapi, pada kenyataannya masyarakat di Indonesia masih memiliki minat membaca yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh reading interest terhadap reading comprehension. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 2 konsep variabel, yaitu reading interest dan reading comprehension. Reading interest diukur dengan menggunakan 9 indikator, yaitu (1) fondness of reading, (2) awareness of reading, (3) benefit, (4) reading frequencies, (5) reading quantity, (6) pleasure, (7) willingness, (8) consciousness, dan (9) attention. Reading comprehension diukur dengan menggunakan beberapa indikator mengacu pada penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang telah dilakukan, dengan total 10 indikator. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka (library research). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa reading interest yang semakin tinggi maka reading comprehension juga akan semakin meningkat. Dengan adanya minat yang dimiliki oleh seseorang untuk membaca maka akan timbul rasa ingin memahami makna yang ada dalam bacaan tersebut.AbstractAn interest in reading largely supports success in learning. Having an interest in reading can lead to various positive impacts, such as increasing reading comprehension. However, in reality, people in Indonesia still have a low interest in reading. This study aims to analyze the effect of reading interest on reading comprehension. The type of research used is descriptive research. This study contains two variable concepts: reading interest and reading comprehension. Reading interest is measured using nine indicators, namely (1) fondness of reading, (2) awareness of reading, (3) benefit, (4) reading frequencies, (5) reading quantity, (6) pleasure, (7) willingness, (8) consciousness, and (9) attention. Reading comprehension is measured using several indicators referring to previous studies that have been carried out, with a total of 10 indicators. Methods of data collection using library research (library research). The results show that the higher the reading interest, the higher the reading comprehension. With interest possessed by someone to read, there will be a sense of wanting to understand the meaning in the reading.

Abstract

Technology has reached a level where it is time for genuine education reforms that increase student content attainment by teaching lessons relevant to the 4.0 industrial revolution. Students who are generation Z prefer to use technology in learning because, in the digitalization era, students raised on new media technology are impatient if they only fill out worksheets and listen to lectures. However, based on the observation, many students are bored with instructional media implemented in learning that is not computer-based innovative, and creative media. Therefore, the CBE-Flipped classroom is a computer-based learning media solution relevant to the development of learning in the 4.0 industrial revolution. After developing the CBE-Flipped classroom, researchers need to know whether the CBE-flipped classroom is what is expected. Researchers also need a paradigm of whether they have developed a valid CBE-flipped classroom so that the CBE-flipped classroom can be applied effectively as an instructional media in the classroom during the learning process. So, this study aims at describing the expert validity of the CBE-Flipped classroom before implementation in the learning process. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the media design has been valid in terms of didactic, construction, and technical aspects. While the results of material validation also indicated that the material on the media has been valid in terms of quality of content, learning, interaction, and appearance. It can be concluded that the CBE-Flipped classroom can be applied effectively as an instructional media in the classroom during the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tema yang paling dominan dalam pembahasan tentang perencanaan pembangunan daerah melalui pendidikan, kemudian mengetahui hubungan antara perencanaan pembangunan dan pendidikan. Selain itu penelitian ini untuk mencari topik yang berhubungan dengan penelitian perencanaan pembangunan daerah melalui pendidikan, dan mengetahui bagaimana jenis pemetaan yang dipakai dalam menjabarkan perencanaan pembangunan daerah melalui pendidikan, serta untuk mengetahui konsep yang digunakan dalam studi terkait perencanaan pembangunan daerah melalui pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kajian pustaka yang memuat beberapa uraian kajian literatur yang menjadi dasar dari gagasan dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang didasarkan pada lima pertanyaan yang kemudian dijadikan acuan kajian artikel-artikel dari data Scopus. Identifikasi artikel dilakukan dengan cara memasukan kata kunci “Regional Development Planning Through Education” pada website Scopus dengan durasi waktu artikel tidak kurang dari tahun 2020-2021. Artikel yang sesuai dengan topik pembahasan yang akan dibahas dalam tulisan ini akan menjadi literature review. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana pengelompokkan tema dalam perencanaan pembangunan daerah melalui pendidikan, tema mana yang dominan, dan author yang dominan.AbstractThis study aims to determine the most dominant theme in the discussion of regional development planning through education, then to determine the relationship between development planning and education. In addition, this research is to find topics related to regional development planning research through education, and to find out what types of mapping are used in describing regional development planning through education, and to find out the concepts used in studies related to regional development planning through education. This study uses a literature review research method which contains several descriptions of literature reviews that form the basis of ideas in solving problems based on five questions which are then used as a reference for reviewing articles from the Scopus data. Article identification is made by entering the keyword "Regional Development Planning Through Education" on the Scopus website with an article duration not less than 2020-2021.
