Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity will implement an experiential learning-based Master of Ceremony (MC) training model. This PkM is conducted through the stages of needs analysis, practical simulation implementation, and evaluation using pretest-posttest instruments. There were 33 students in attendance. The results of this PkM activity found a significant increase in self-confidence, verbal and nonverbal communication, improvisation, and audience management. The results of this PkM also prove that the experiential learning approach is effective in improving master of ceremonies skills through direct practice and structured reflection

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between work environment factors and occupational health and safety of workers. The method used is a literature review by utilizing secondary data obtained from scientific journals, books, and other relevant and reliable sources. Data collection was carried out through searching and reviewing previous studies, then analyzed descriptively by comparing, classifying, and synthesizing research findings. The results show that the work environment has a significant influence on occupational health and safety. The physical work environment, such as lighting, temperature, noise, and ventilation, directly affects workers' health conditions and the risk of workplace accidents. Meanwhile, the non-physical work environment, such as work relationships, organizational support, and safety culture, influences workers' safety behavior. These two aspects complement each other in creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. Therefore, comprehensive improvements in the work environment and consistent implementation of occupational health and safety management systems (OHS) are essential to reduce the risk of workplace accidents and occupational diseases

Abstract

We present a comprehensive variational framework for the numerical simulation of multiscale geological fault systems governed by rate- and state-dependent friction laws. Extending the variational approach for subduction zones to layered fault networks with multiple non-intersecting interfaces, we derive a mathematical model that encompasses both Dieterich- and Ruina-type friction as special cases while accommodating large tangential displacements. Semi-discretization in time via an energy-conserving Newmark scheme yields a coupled system of nonsmooth convex minimization problems at each time step. Spatial discretization employs a dual-mortar finite element method with a piecewise-constant state approximation, enabling efficient decoupling via fixed-point iteration. For the resulting rate problems, we establish convergence of truncated nonsmooth Newton multigrid (TNNMG) methods and prove stability of the fully discrete scheme under standard regularity assumptions. Numerical experiments on spring-slider and layered five-body configurations demonstrate the robustness of the solver with respect to the number of faults, with adaptive time-stepping capturing slip events across multiple orders of magnitude in velocity variation

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) regarding an intercropping system based on sustainable agriculture in Wonopringgo Village, Pekalongan Regency. The problems faced by the community included limited understanding of intercropping cultivation techniques and the dominance of monoculture farming systems, resulting in suboptimal land utilization. The activity was conducted on September 1, 2025, at the Intercropping Demonstration Plot in Wonopringgo Village involving 25 KWT members. The implementation methods included investigation, preparation, action, extension and training, reflection through pre-tests and post-tests, and mentoring. The intercropping system applied combined maize and soybean plants. The results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge regarding the intercropping system and its benefits. During the pre-test, only 2 participants (8%) understood the intercropping system, while after the activity all participants (100%) understood it. Participants’ understanding of the benefits of intercropping also increased from 0% to 100% after the activity.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in strengthening local economies; however, many still face persistent challenges related to managerial capacity, financial literacy, digital adoption, and business networking. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Serang City through an integrated mentoring approach designed to foster sustainable business growth. The program employed a participatory and qualitative approach, encompassing needs assessment, collaborative program design, hands-on training, individualized mentoring, and continuous evaluation. The intervention focused on enhancing managerial competencies, improving financial record-keeping, optimizing digital marketing strategies, and fostering collaborative networks among MSME actors. The results demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ business planning capabilities, financial management practices, digital marketing utilization, and entrepreneurial confidence. Moreover, the mentoring process facilitated the emergence of inter-business collaboration and strengthened the local support ecosystem involving universities, communities, and institutional stakeholders. These findings suggest that integrated and context-based mentoring can effectively address multidimensional MSME challenges while promoting adaptive capacity and long-term resilience.

Abstract

The growing older adult population requires healthcare services that address not only physical health but also emotional and spiritual well-being to promote active participation in community-based healthcare. This community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of strengthening an Emotional–Spiritual Friendly Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) through mentoring by nurses and community health volunteers (cadres) to improve regular attendance among older adults. A pre–post evaluation design was implemented at an older adult Posyandu. The intervention consisted of health education, training for nurses and cadres on emotional–spiritual support, individual counseling, group discussions, and continuous mentoring during Posyandu activities. Program evaluation was conducted through structured observation, assessment of cadres' knowledge and skills, activity documentation, and descriptive analysis of older adults' attendance records before and after the intervention. The main finding showed a substantial increase in the proportion of older adults attending Posyandu regularly, from 37.1% before the intervention to 79.8% after program implementation. These findings indicate that strengthening an Emotional–Spiritual Friendly Posyandu through collaboration among nurses, community health volunteers, families, and the community effectively increases regular attendance among older adults. This model has the potential to serve as a sustainable community-based strategy for promoting active ageing and improving the quality of holistic older adult healthcare services.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, yet they often face challenges due to non-standard financial reporting. This community service program aims to provide technical accounting assistance to PT Ajib Darkah Indonesia to create accountable and objective financial statements in accordance with SAK Indonesia for EMKM. The method employed was a participatory technical mentoring approach, which included identifying the existing system, financial literacy education, and financial statement preparation training. The program was conducted from June to August 2025 in Cilacap Regency. The results demonstrate that PT Ajib Darkah Indonesia successfully transformed its simple manual cash-basis recording into a structured accrual-basis system. The concrete outcome of this activity is the partner's ability to independently prepare the three main components of financial statements: the Statement of Financial Position, the Income Statement, and the Notes to the Financial Statements (CaLK). Furthermore, the adoption of simple digital technology was proven to increase operational efficiency and data accuracy. The study concludes that the implementation of SAK Indonesia for EMKM significantly enhances business transparency and credibility, thereby strengthening the company's access to formal financing from the banking sector.

Abstract

The design of a green and beautiful garden landscape at the Wala Village Office, Maritengngae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, is part of the Hasanuddin University Thematic Community Service (KKN) program with the theme Regional Innovation. This activity aims to improve the comfort of the office environment while providing educational examples for the community in utilizing empty land. The implementation method includes observation, surveys, concept creation, and digital modeling using Google Earth and SketchUp Pro, followed by video rendering of the design results. The results include the addition of hard material elements (lounge chairs, tables, lamps, pergolas) and soft materials (ornamental plants, trees, grass, vines), with routine maintenance to keep the garden safe, comfortable, and beautiful. These documents and video renderings can be used as official references for the development and renovation of the garden, and have received a positive response from village officials and the local community.
