Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat siswa SMP Negeri dalam melanjutkan sekolah di SMK ditinjau dari sosial ekonomi keluarga di Kabupaten Bantul. Desain penelitian ini adalah ex post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri tahun ajaran 2012/2013 di Kabupaten Bantul. Dari populasi di atas diambil 17 SMP sebagai sampel penelitian, sehingga sampel penelitian menjadi 364 orang, yang diambil secara proporsional random sampling. Instrumen untuk pengambilan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji person correlation dan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh antara lingkungan siswa dengan minat sebesar 0,627, kesejahteraan keluarga dengan minat siswa sebesar -0,227, informasi pendidikan dengan minat siswa sebesar -0,181, pemenuhan kebutuhan keluarga dengan minat siswa sebesar -0,156, dan nilai F sebesar 65,037 dengan nilai sig 0,000 dengan persamaan regresi Y = 44,623 + 0,533X1 - 0,113X2 - 0,122X3 – 0,089X4, Sumbangan variabel bebas mempunyai pengaruh 42% terhadap minat siswa SMP Negeri dalam melanjutkan sekolah di SMK. CONTINUING PUBLIC INTEREST TO STUDENTS VOCATIONAL VIEWED FROM THE SOCIO ECONOMIC FAMILY IN THE DISTRICT BANTULAbstractThe aim of this study is to find out the effects between public junior high school students' interests in continuing their studies in vocational high schools and their families' socio-economic in Bantul Regency.This study employed the ex post facto design. The research population comprised 7718 Grade IX students of 48 public junior high schools in the academic year of 2012/2013 in Bantul Regency. From the population, 17 junior high schools were selected as the sample, consisting of 364 students, selected by means of the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques, namely the Pearson's product moment correlation and multiple regression. The results of the study show that the correlation coefficient between the students environments and their interests is 0.627, the family welfare and their interests is -0.227, the educational information and their interests is -0.181, and the family need fulfilment and their interests is -0.156, and an F value of 65.037 at a significance value of 0.000 with the regression equation Y = 44.623 + 0.533X1 – 0.113X2 – 0.122X3 – 0.089X4. The independent variables have a contribution of 42% to public junior high school students' interests in continuing their studies in vocational high.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce the e-learning media for the Light-Weight Vehicle Chassis and Powertrain Maintenance Subject. The type of this research is the research and development. The procedure applied in this research is the ADDIE model. Construct testing by the expert is done by curriculum expert, practitioner and teaching media expert. Construct testing and content testing were also conducted to 23 students as the user. Qualitative data were analyzed using an iterative step that is reading/memoing, describing, and classifying. Quantitative data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The research result shows that YouTube Integrated Google Classroom Based E-Learning Media has been produced and tested for Light-Weight Vehicle Chassis and Powertrain Maintenance subjects. The construct testing shows that this e-learning media is decent based on an expert's judgment, and based on the user response shows that the reliability of the construct is good. The content testing shows that students who use the YouTube Integrated Google Classroom Based E-Learning Media have significantly greater learning outcomes compared with students who use the internet to access the website without control.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyelenggaraan program SMK Kelas Jauh di MAN Karanganyar.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan model context, input, process dan product(CIPP)yang dikembangkan oleh Stuflebeam.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan persentase.Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Hasil evaluasi context siswa termasuk cukup relevan (23,73), dan evaluasi context guru termasuk relevan (41,14). (2) Hasil evaluasi input siswa menunjukkan skor rata-rata sebesar 43,41 (kategori baik) dan skor rata-rata evaluasi input guru adalah 67,83 (kategori baik). Kurikulum yang digunakan sama dengan kurikulum SMK induk ditambah bahasa Arab dan keterampilan las. (3) Hasil evaluasi process, baik dinilai oleh siswa dengan skor 94,71 maupun oleh guru dengan skor 70,86, termasuk kategori baik. (4) Hasil evaluasi product menurut siswa adalah 9,56 dan menurut guru 15,00 sehingga secara keseluruhan termasuk kategori cukup baik. THE EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DISTANCE CLASS PROGRAM OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN MAN KARANGANYARAbstractThis study aims to evaluate of the implementation of the Distance Class of Vocational School (SMK) in MAN Karanganyar.This study was evaluation research using the context, the inputs, the processes, and the products (CIPP) model developed by Stufflebeam.The data were collected using a questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation and then analyzed using the percentage descriptive quantitative technique.The findings of research are as follows. (1) The result of the evaluation on the student context is relevant enough (23.73) and the teacher context is relevant. (2) The result of the input evaluation of the students with an average of score 43.41% is in a good category, and the score of the input evaluation of the teacher is in a poor category but the number of the teachers is sufficient with very suitable qualifications. The curriculum used is equal to the curriculum of the center school with two extras: Arabic subject and welding skill. (3) The results of the process evaluation, both students (94.71) and teachers (70.86) are in a good category. (4) The results of the product evaluation are 9.56 (based on the students) and 15.00 (based on the teachers), so that the overall results are in a good category.

Abstract

E-learning generally presented the same learning material because it considered the characteristics of all users to be homogeneous. In fact, every student had different characteristics in the learning process. The objectives of this study were: (1) To produce a simulation content and digital communication based on  Dynamic Intellectual Learning with Visual Modality for the tenth grade at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt, (2) To find out the teacher's response and the tenth grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt on Simulation Content and Digital Communication based on DIL with Visual Modality that had been generated. The method of this study was a research and development referred to the plomp model. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade of accounting program at SMK Negeri 1 Seririt in the academic year 2017/2018. There were various try out had been carried out, namely: validity testing by experts and effectiveness testing by using the Hake formula. The results showed that the simulation content and digital communication based on DIL with Visual Modality was valid and practically use: the effectiveness testing produced N-gain of 0.74 included in the effective category and the data analysis of the teacher and the students respond showed that it was categorized in the positive category. It showed that the output was valid, practical and effective to be used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran kerja mesin lanjut menggunakan Model Praktik Berpasangan dan mendapatkan bukti peningkatan hasil belajar kerja mesin lanjut setelah diterapkan Model Praktik Berpasangan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), menggunakan desain Kemmis & Taggart. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Analisa dilakukan dengan analisa kualitatif untuk menggambarkan suasana pembelajaran yang berlangsung dalam kelas dan analisa kuantitatif untuk melihat perkembangan hasil belajar siswa dan kualitas pembelajaran. Hasil penelitan menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan model praktik berpasangan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran ditinjau dari aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil pembelajaran yang meliputi persiapan kerja, proses kerja, hasil kerja, sikap kerja, dan waktu; dan (2) nilai rata-rata aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan (dalam siklus I= 77.6, siklus II= 87.9, dan siklus III= 96.4). Nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan (dalam siklus I=70, siklus II= 86, dan siklus III= 96). Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan (dalam siklus I=70, siklus II 72.9, dan siklus III 78. Kata Kunci: Model Praktik Berpasangan, Kualitas Pembelajaran, Praktik Membubut THE EFFORT TO IMPROVE OF THE QUALITY OF TEACHING LATHE OF ADVANCED MACHINERY WORK USING THE PAIR WORK MODELAbstractThis study aims to improve the quality of teaching lathe practice of advanced machinery work using the pair work model and obtain evidence of improved learning outcomes in the subject after the implementation of the model. This research is class room action research, used the design by Kemmis & Taggart. The data were collected through observation, field notes, interviews and document. The data analysis used the qualitative analysis to describe the atmosphere of learning that took place in the classroom and the quantative analysis to see the development of the students' learning outcomes and the quality of learning. The results of the research conclude that: 1) the application of the teaching using the pair work model can improve the quality of teaching in terms of the teachers' activity, and students' activity; and 2) the average activity score of teachers' activity has increased (in Cycle I= 77.6, in Cycle II= 87.9, and in Cycle III= 96.4). The average score of students' activity increases (in Cycle I= 70, in Cycle II= 86, and Cycle III= 96). The average score of students' learning outcomes has increased (in Cycle I= 70, in Cycle II= 72.9, and in Cycle III= 78).

Abstract

This study aims to find out the significance of the direct effect of industrial work practices on work learning readiness, vocational competency, and employability skills, the direct effect of work learning readiness on employability skills, and the direct effect of vocational competency on employability skills. The significance of the effect founds was expected to enhance the knowledge and consideration for developing employability skills vocational high school (VHS) students especially at industrial work practice, work readiness, vocational competency at vocational high school. The research used a quantitative approach with ex-post facto type. The data were analyzed quantitatively to test the formulated hypothesis. The research was conducted at State and Private Vocational High School in Yogyakarta Special Region. The population of the study was grade XII students majoring mechanical engineering. The research samples were 444 students who were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection techniques were questionnaires distribution and documentation. The content validity was established using expert judgment. The construct validity was established using analysis factor by Kaiser Meyer Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO MSA) with a value of 0.691. The reliability of the research was judged using Cronbach's alpha with value for work readiness of 0.921 and employability skills of 0.864. The data analysis technique used path analysis. The result of the study shows that employability skills can be improved through effective implementation of industrial work practice, good training work learning readiness, and vocational competency-based technical skills and non-technical skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh faktor sosial terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (2) pengaruh kemudahan penggunaan terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (3) pengaruh kesesuaian tugas terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (4) pengaruh harapan hasil terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; dan (5) pengaruh pemanfaatan TIK terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto, dilaksanakan pada empat SMK yang sudah menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan proportionale random sampling. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan tabel Krejcie dan Morgan, untuk populasi sebanyak 377 maka sampel yang diambil sebanyak 191 guru. Validitas instrumen diketahui berdasarkan penilaian pakar dan analisis butir. Reliabilitas diketahui dengan menghitung koefisien Cronbach Alpha. Teknik analisis data dengan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) faktor sosial berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (2) kemudahan penggunaan berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (3) kesesuaian tugas berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; (4) harapan hasil tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatan TIK; dan (5) pemanfaatan TIK berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru. DETERMINANT FACTORS OF ICT UTILIZATION AND THE EFFECT ON TEACHER PERFORMANCE OF SMK IN GUNUNGKIDUL DISTRICTAbstractThis study aimed to determine: (1) the effect of social factor on the ICT utilization; (2) the effect of ease of use on the ICT utilization; (3) the effect of job fit on the ICT utilization; (4) the effect of outcome expectancy on the ICT utilization; and (5) the effect of ICT utilization on the teachers performance. This study was an ex-post facto research, conducted in four SMKs that have implemented "˜Kurikulum 2013' in Gunungkidul district. The sampling technique was proportionale random sampling. Based on Krejcie and Morgan's table for determining sample size, for a population of 377 the sample could be taken as many as 191 teachers. The validity of the instrument was known based on expert judgment and item analysis. Reliability coefficient was determined by calculating Cronbach's Alpha. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this research show that: (1) the social factor affects the ICT utilization; (2) the ease of use affects the ICT utilization; (3) the job fit affects the ICT utilization; (4) the outcome expectancy doesn't affect the ICT utilization; and (5)the ICT utilization affects the teachers performance.

Abstract

Technical and Vocational Education is one of the various disciplines that believed could encourage the country’s economic growth. Project-Based Learning or PBL was introduced in the Malaysian polytechnics curriculum in terms to produce creative and innovative graduates Thus, Project-Based Learning was introduced because of the ineffectiveness of the traditional lecture method. This study was a kind of descriptive study intended to examine the perception of students and supervisors regarding the Project-Based Learning at one Polytechnic in Malaysia. A population of 170 would be represented by a sample size of 118 respondents and 43 supervisors to participate in the study. The result found that the significant aspect to be included in Project-Based Learning is effective supervising skills. However, from the data, some supervisors have no proficiency skills of Project-Based Learning. Based on the empirical data which derived from the present study, a new framework for Project-Based Learning is suggested for the polytechnics system.
