Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kesiapan kerja siswa Sekolah Menegah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara, dan (2) hubungan dan pengaruh kegiatan praktik unit produksi sekolah, pengalaman praktik kerja industri dan dukungan keluarga secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama-sama terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK kelas XII di kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012 dengan sampel sejumlah 148 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan Tabel Krejeie Morgan. Pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik proporsional cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan Skala Likert dengan alternatif empat jawaban. Data variabel dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hubungan dan pengaruh setiap variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat dianalisis dengan statistik korelasi parsial dan regresi ganda. Interprestasi hasil analisis data menggunakan taraf signifikan p = 0,05.Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa SMK di Kabupaten HSU adalah sebagai berikut: sebesar 61,49% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja pada kategori sangat tinggi dan sebesar 37,84% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja pada kategori tinggi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kegiatan praktik unit produksi sekolah, pengalaman praktik kerja industry dan dukungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja (Ü´ ଶ=0,501). Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan praktik unit produksi sekolah, pengalaman prakerin dan dukungan keluarga secara bersama-sama mampu menjelaskan varian kesiapan kerja siswa SMK sebesar 50,1%. THE EFFECT OF PRODUCTION ORGANIZATION , ON- THE- JOB TRAINING AND FAMILY SUPPORT ON WORK READINESS OF THE STUDENTS IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLSAbstractThis research was aimed to reveal: (1) the work readiness of the students of vocational high schools (VHS) in Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency and (2) the relationship and effect of school production organization activity, on-thejob training experiences and family support individually and simultaneously on the students' work readiness.The population of this research was XII grade students of vocational schools in HSU Regency in the academic year 2011/2012, and a sample of 148 students was established by using Krejeie Morgan Table. The sample was established using the proporsional cluster random sampling technique. The research data were collected using the Likert Scale questionnaire with four options. The data of variable were descriptively analyzed. The effect and correlation between the independent and dependent variables were analyzed using the partial correlation statistic and multiple regression analysis. The interpretation of the data analysis result used the significance level of p = 0.05.The result of the descriptive analysis shows the level of students' vocational school at HSU Regency is as follows: 61.49% of the students' have the excellent work readiness, and 37.84% of the students' have good work readiness. The hypothesis testing shows a significant effect of the school production unit organization, on-the- job training experience, and family support on work readiness (Ü´ ଶ = 0.501). This shows that the school production unit organization, on-the-job training experience, and family support simultaneously are able to explain the variant of the students' work readiness as much as 50.1%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peran DUDI dalam mendorong produk kebijakan pendidikan Pemda Kota Mataram dalam mengembangkan SMK berbasis kearifan lokal; (2) implementasi penyelenggaraan kebijakan pendidikan SMK yang sesuai dengan kearifan lokal; dan (3) peran DUDI dalam pengembangan SMK. Informan kunci pada penelitian adalah Kepala Dinas Dikmen sub-bagian kepala seksi kurikulum, Kepala Sekolah, Wakasek Humas Industri, Pembimbing Industri, dan Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peran DUDI dalam mendorong kebijakan Pemda terkait pengembangan SMK berbasis kearifan lokal belum memadai; (2) implementasi kebijakan Pemda, antara lain: (a) monitoring dan evaluasi, (b) menyediakan unit gedung baru, (c) membuka kompetensi keahlian baru, (d) pemberian dana, (e) mengadakan Gebyar SMK se-Kota Mataram; dan (3) peran DUDI dalam pengembangan SMK antara lain: (a) penyelenggaraan prakerin siswa berjalan dengan baik. b) industri sebagai tempat pemagangan guru, c) industri terlibat dalam uji kompetensi siswa tingkat akhir dan tempat menyalurkan lulusan, d) belum ada kerja sama terkait penyediaan sarana dan prasarana, dan e) pengembangan kurikulum dalam bentuk workshop kurikulum. Kata kunci: peran DUDI, penyelenggaraan SMK, kearifan lokal THE ROLE OF BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (VHS) BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM IN THE CITY OF MATARAM Abstract This research aims to know: (1) the role of business and industry in encouraging the product education policy of the local government in Mataram City for developing vocaational high school (VHS) based on local wisdom; (2) the implementation of VHS education policy with an appropriate local wisdom; and (3) the role of business and industry in developing VHS. The key informants in this research were the Head of Secondary Education Curriculum Sub-section, Principal, Vice Principal of Industry Public Relations, Industry Counsellors, and students. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique included data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) the role of business and industry in encouraging the regional government policy related to VHS development based on local wisdom had not been adequate; (2) the implementation of regional government policy were among others: (a) monitoring and evaluation, (b) providing a new building unit, (c) opening new expertise competencies, (d) providing funds, (e) conducting Gebyar SMK in the city of Mataram; and (3) the roles of business and industry in the development of VHS were among others: (a) the implementation of the students’ industrial practice ran well, (b) the industry as the place for teachers’ apprenticeship, (c) the industry was involved in students’ competency test at the end of the students’ study and as an institute which would recruit the graduates, d) there had not been any cooperation related to the provision of facilities and infrastructure, and e) curriculum development in the form of a curriculum workshop. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pengalaman pendidikan kewirausahaan di sekolah, keluarga dan masyarakat serta keterampilan kejuruan terhadap motivasi berwirausaha siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian adalah 110 siswa SMK kelas 3 yang terdiri dari 19 siswa SMK N 1 Gantiwarno, 71 siswa SMK N 3 Klaten, enam siswa SMK Tunas Cawas dan 14 siswa SMK Bina Patria Bangsa. Pengalaman pendidikan kewirausahaan di sekolah, keluarga, masyarakat dan keterampilan kejuruan secara bersama-sama memiliki hubungan terhadap motivasi berwirausaha. Nilai hubungan tersebut adalah 0,460 (kategori sedang). Sedangkan kontribusi secara bersama-sama adalah 21,2%. Dari keempat faktor tersebut, pengaruh keterampilan kejuruan lebih besar kontribusinya terhadap motivasi berwirausaha siswa. THE EFFECT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION EXPERIENCES AND VOCATIONAL SKILLS ON THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP MOTIVATION OF FASHION MAJORING STUDENTSAbstractThis study aimed to examine the effect of entrepreneurial education experience in schools, families, communities and vocational skills on students' entrepreneurship motivation. This study is an expost facto research. The population was 110 year three vocational students comprising 19 students of SMK N 1 Gantiwarno, 71 students of SMK N 3 Klaten, six students of SMK Tunas Cawas and 14 students of SMK Bina Patria Bangsa. The entrepreneurship education experience in schools, families, communities and vocational skills together have correlation with entrepreneurship motivation . The correlation coefficient is 0.460 (medium category). While a contribution together is 21,2%. Of all factors, the effect of vocational skills has more contribution to the students' entrepreneurship motivation.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore and explain the application entrepreneurship module based products in higher vocational education. Methods of the development of this research using stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation (ADDI). Subjects were students who are taking entrepreneurship courses in higher vocational education. The technique of data analysis was the learning outcomes of the application of product based entrepreneurship module which consisted of, (1) the results of the cognitive aspects of learning achievement test used in the form of multiple-choice tests; (2) the study results in the affective aspects obtained from the measurement results against predefined criteria, with special sections that assess students' attitude during the process and attitude of learning, particularly in the work of making a product; (3) the results of study on psychomotor aspect views from the observation of activities and work activities done by the students. Based on cognitive aspects of learning outcomes for entrepreneurial learning showed that test before using the product based entrepreneurship modules have an average of learning outcomes is quite effective and after using the product based entrepreneurship modules have an average is the effective category. The average results of student learning in psychomotor and affective aspects before using the module are quite effective and after using the product based entrepreneurship module psychomotor and affective aspects have an average result of learning is very effective. It can be concluded that learning with product based entrepreneurship module can improve student learning outcomes in higher vocational education.

Abstract

The study was to generate a valid, practical and effective competence-based training model for the electricity program vocational high school teachers. The type of the study was research and development that referred to the development stages proposed by Plomp. The data gathering instrument for the study consisted of: (1) validation sheet; (2) observation sheet; and (3) response questionnaire for the training participants and the trainers. In order to measure the level of reliability and the level of agreement consistency among the raters, the researcher implemented the Cohen’s Kappa coefficient statistics has a minimum value of ≥ 0.70. The subjects of the study were the electricity program vocational high school teachers in the City of Makassar and the Regency of Gowa totaling 22 people. The results of the study were as follows: (1) the training model had fulfilled the criteria of validity so that the model might be implemented for the training activities of electricity program vocational high school teachers; (2) the training model had fulfilled the criteria of practicality that were measured from the level of model stage (syntax) implementation; (3) the training model had fulfilled the criteria of effectiveness that had the following indicators: (a) the level of knowledge and understanding exposed by the training participants, (b) the level of teaching skills exposed by the training participants, (c) the quality of training participants’ portfolio and (d) the response of the training participants and the trainers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi praktik kerja industri (prakerin) Kompetensi Keahlian Pemasaran SMK N 1 Pengasih, Kulon Progo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah evaluasi dengan pendekatan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Sampel penelitian sebanyak 75 siswa, 7 guru, dan 5 instruktur. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK N 1 Pengasih dan dunia usaha/dunia industri (DUDI). Pengumpulan data dengan angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data secara deskriptif dengan bantuan seri program SPSS versi 19,0. Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas konstruk dan isi. Penentuan reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) aspek konteks menurut guru,siswa, dan instruktur termasuk dalam kategori sangat relevan; (2) aspek input menurut guru dan siswa termasuk dalam kategori kurang baik, menurut instruktur masuk dalam kategori baik; (3) aspek proses menurut guru dan instruktur masuk dalam kategori sangat baik, menurut siswa masuk dalam kategori baik; (4) aspek produk menurut guru, siswa dan instruktur masuk dalam kategori sangat baik; 5) secara umum kelemahan pelaksanaan prakerin adalah: kurangnya keterlibatan siswa dan instruktur dalam perencanaan program, kurangnya kontrol sekolah,dan kurangnya kesempatan bagi siswa untuk menguasai kompetensi yang diperoleh dari DUDI. AN EVALUATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL JOB PRACTICUM PROGRAM IN THE MARKETING EXPERTISE COMPETENCY IN SMK N 1 PENGASIH, KULON PROGOAbstractThis study aims to investigate the evaluation of the industrial job practicum program in the Marketing Expertise Competency in SMK N 1 Pengasih, Kulon Progo. This was an evaluation study employing the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. The subjects comprised 75 students, seven supervising teachers, and five field instructors. The study was conducted in SMK N 1 Pengasih and the Business and Industrial Sectors as a partner for he industrial job practicum. The data were collected through a questionnaire, observations, interviews, and documentation. The quantitative data were analyzed by means of the descriptive technique using the SPSS Version 19.0 program. The instrument validation employed the construct and content validity through expert judgment. The reliability was assessed using the Cronbach's Alpha formula. The results of the study are as follows. (1) The context aspect is in the very good category according to the teacher, instructor, and student respondents. (2) The input aspect is in the poor category according to the teacher respondents, in the good category according to the instructor respondents, and in the poor category according to the student respondents. (3) The process is in the very very good category according to the teacher and instructor respondents, and in the good category according to the student respondent. (4) The product aspect is in the very good category according to the teacher, instructor, and student respondents. (5) In general, the weaknesses in the implementation of the industrial job practicum include: the lack of the students' and instructors' involvement in the program planning, the lack of the school control, and the lack of opportunity for the students to acquire the competencies from the business and industrial sectors.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan: tingkat pemahaman tentang makna keluarga sejahtera dan tentang industri kreatif pangan di kalangan keluarga miskin (gakin); faktor determinan terhadap terbentuknya keluarga sejahtera yang berbasis pada usaha industri kreatif pangan; mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kebutuhan gakin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang digunakan sebagai dasar analisis penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Data-data yang diperlukan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian diperoleh melalui kegiatan-kegiatan FGD. Lokasi penelitian ialah dua desa kategori termiskin di kabupaten Wonosobo. Subjek penelitian ialah gakin yang berjumlah 61 keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa, tingkat pemahaman gakin terhadap makna keluarga sejahtera dan terhadap makna industri kreatif pangan keduanya bernilai cukup; Determinan utama yang membentuk keluarga sejahtera ialah motiv beribadah, sementara determinan utama yang membentuk usaha memenuhi kebutuhan hidup melalui industri kreatif pangan ialah, diperolehnya pelatihan-pelatihan untuk mengolah pangan. Hasil analisis terhadap faktor-faktor pembentuk keluarga sejahtera dan usaha guna memperoleh penghasilan yang dilakukan melalui industri kreatif pangan ialah: faktor pendidikan dan kesejahteraan keluarga; hubungan inter dan antarkeluarga; peran orang tua dalam mendidik anak; pengaturan ekonomi keluarga; keamanan lahir batin dan perencanaan hidup sehat; pengembangan industri kreatif pangan.Kata kunci: pendidikan, kesejahteraan keluarga; industri kreatif pangan; keluarga miskin DETERMINANT FACTORS FOR ESTABLISHING PROSPEROUS FAMILY FOR RURAL POOR  IN WONOSOBO REGENCY BASED ON CREATIVE FOOD INDUSTRYAbstractThis study aim to describetheng level of understanding of the definition of both prosperous family and food creative industry among poor family, to find out the determinant factors for the establishing prosperous family based on creative food industry, and to identifyand analyse the needs of the poor family. This study adopted a descriptiv approach as the basis for the analysis in the research and development. The data were collected through FGD activities. The research sites were the two poorest villages in Wonosoboregency. The subjects consisted of 61 poor families.The results of the study show that the level of understanding of the definition of both prosperous family and food creative industry is categorized as fair. Additionally, the main determinant factor for establishing prosperous family is religious motives and the main determinant factor for establishing business activities to support livelihood needs through food creative industry is by joining trainings on food processing.Also, the vital components for establishing prosperous family and to establish business activities to earn income through food creative industry include:education, family welfare; intra and interfamily relationship; the role of parents for the children's education; family economy management; physical and spiritual security, healthy life planning; and development of food creative industry.Keywords: education; family welfare; food creative industry; poor family

Abstract

This study intends to: (1) describe regional development programs, (2) determine local potential, (3) describe the level of alignment of the current spectrum of expertise and make a spectrum of expertise Vocational High Schools based local potential in the Cilacap District. Descriptive research was used in this study. The research site was carried out in the Cilacap Regency area. The data sources used are secondary data sources, namely the use of data through official documents such as the Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW), Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD), Cilacap Regency in the 2017 Figures and the Cilacap Regency Economic Census in 2016. Analysis of official documents are used to achieve the research objectives. The validity of the documents carried out is the provision of a wet stamp from the related agency. The results of this study include: (1) the development program planned for the development of local potential in the Cilacap Regency area is listed on the 4th mission of regional development, namely "developing an economy that relies on local and regional potential"; (2) existing local potential includes the manufacturing sector; agriculture, forestry and fisheries; wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair; and the construction sector; (3) the level of alignment of the expertise spectrum of SMK with local potential in corridor 1 amounting to 35.7%; corridor 2 of 28.6%; corridor 3 is 43% while corridor 4 is 28.5%; areas of expertise that are in harmony with local potential include: Technology and Engineering; Agribusiness and Agrotechnology; Maritime; Business and management. The needs of local potential vocational schools are 36 schools, 465 classes and 887 teachers. It is necessary to close and increase the areas of expertise, expertise programs and expertise competencies to be in harmony with local potential in the Cilacap Regency and its surrounding areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) kelas X Teknik Komputer Jaringan (TKJ) dalam pembelajaran Perbaikan dan Setting Ulang PC melalui penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X kompetensi keahlian TKJ. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan instrumen checklist dan tes unjuk kerja. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut: (a) penerapan model PBL dalam pembelajaran materi perbaikan dan setting ulang PC dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran yaitu sebesar 24,2%, (b) Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah penerapan PBL yaitu siswa dengan kategori keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat tinggi sebanyak 20 siswa (69%), kategori tinggi sebanyak 7 siswa (24,2%), kategori rendah sebanyak 2 siswa (6,9%) dan kategori sangat rendah yaitu sebanyak 0 siswa (0%), (c) penerapan PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 31,03%, dan (d) Hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan PBL yakni jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 29 siswa (100%). THE APPLICATION OF THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND LEARNING OUTCOMESAbstractThis study aims to improve the critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of Grade X students of Network Computer Engineering (NCE) of vocational high schools (VHSs) in the learning of PC repair and re-setting through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This was a classroom action research. The study involve Grade X students of the NCE expertise competency as the research subjects. The data were collected through observation with a checklist instrument and a performance test. They were descriptively analyzed. The results of the study show that: (a) the application of the PBL model is capable of improving the students' critical thinking skills in the learning of PC repair and re-setting at 24.2%,(b) the students' critical thinking skills in the learning of PC repair and re-setting after the application of the PBL model is categories of critical thinking skills is very high as 20 students (69%), high categories as 7 students (24.2%), low categories as 2 student (6.9%) and very low categories as 0 student (0%), (c) the application of PBL model is capable of improving the the students' learning outcomes in the learning of PC repair and re-setting at 31.03%, and (d) the students' learning outcomes after the application of the PBL model namely the number of students who reach the KKM as much as 29 students (100%).
