Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang: (1) profil kompetensi DU/DI bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif, (2) profil kompetensi TPBO pada SMK di Kabupaten Bantul, dan (3) tingkat relevansi antara profil kompetensi DU/DI bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif dengan profil kompetensi TPBO pada SMK di Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif yang didukung dengan data kualitatif sebagai bahan memperkuat data dalam bab pembahasan dengan metode penelitian survei. Penelitian ini melibatkan 42 responden dari DU/DI bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif, 7 guru, dan 29 siswa SMK TPBO di Kabupaten Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat 147 butir kompetensi dalam profil kompetensi DU/DI bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif, (2) terdapat 85 butir kompetensi yang terdapat dalam dokumen KTSP SMK TPBO di Kabupaten Bantul dan 103 butir kompetensi yang menjadi profil kompetensi kerja yang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran pada SMK TPBO di Kabupaten Bantul, dan (3) tingkat relevansi antara profil kompetensi DU/DI bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif dengan profil kompetensi dokumen KTSP SMK TPBO di Kabupaten Bantul menunjukkan angka 27,211% (tidak relevan). Sedangkan tingkat relevansi dengan profil kompetensi kerja yang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran pada SMK TPBO di Kabupaten Bantul menunjukkan angka 70,068% (relevan). Kata kunci: profil kompetensi dunia kerja bidang perbaikan bodi otomotif, profil kompetensi TPBO pada SMK, Relevansi.THE COMPETENCY PROFILE OF THE WORLD OF WORK OF AUTOMOTIVE BODY REPAIR SECTOR AND ITS LEVEL OF RELEVANCE TO THE EDUCATION WORLD Abstract This study aimed to get information about: (1) the competency profile of Business World/ Industrial World (BW/IW) of automotive body repair sector, (2) the competency profile of TPBO SMK in Bantul, and (3) the level of relevance between the competency profile of BW/IW automotive body repair sector and the competency profile of TPBO SMK in Bantul. This research was descriptive comparative using the quantitative research approach accompanied by qualitative data as supporting data in the discussion chapter with the survey method. This research involved 42 respondents from BW/IW automotive body repair sector, 7 teachers, and 29 students from TPBO SMK in Bantul. The results showed: (1) there were 147 items of competency in the competency profile of BW/IW automotive body repair sector, (2) there were 85 items of competency contained in the curriculum of TPBO SMK in Bantul and 103 items of competency in the work competency profile implemented in teaching processes at TPBO SMK in Bantul, and (3) the level of relevance between the competency profile of BW/IW automotive body repair sector and the competency profile of the curriculum of TPBO SMK in Bantul was 27.211% (irrelevant). The level of relevance with the work competency profile implemented in teaching processes at TPBO SMK in Bantul was 70.068% (relevant). Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar materi sistem kelistrikan otomotif. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design. Jumlah responden sebanyak 63 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data hasil belajar adalah tes, dan instrumen pengumpulan data motivasi belajar adalah angket. Data dianalisis dengan statistik parametris, yaitu uji-t dengan teknik independent sampel t-test dan uji lanjut dengan uji Scheffe. Hasilnya adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar materi sistem kelistrikan otomotif pada siswa kelas X TKR di SMKN 1 Seyegan, ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan media animasi lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan media powerpoint. EFFECT ANIMATION MEDIA ON STUDENT’S LEARNING OUTCOMES AND LEARNING MOTIVATIONAbstractThe purpose of this study to determine the effect of animation media on learning outcomes and learning motivation the automotive electrical system material. This quasi-experimental research using nonequivalent control group design. The number of respondents being 63 students. The instrument for data collection for learning outcomes was a test, and the instrument for learning motivation was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using parametric statistic namely t-test with independent sample t-test techniques and advanced test with Scheffe test. The result is that there is a significant effect of the use of animation media on learning outcomes and learning motivation on the automotive electrical system material among class X student of TKR of SMK Negeri 1 Seyegan, indicated by the learning outcomes and learning motivation of students who are taught by the animation media higher than the learning outcomes and learning motivation of students who are taught by powerpoint media.

Abstract

This development research aims to describe the working concept of EMC with VPE valuation method. The EMC quality is based on following aspects: (1) valid according to experts; (2) practical according to practitioners; and (e) effective based on students ability test. The developed cycles and procedures refer to the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data was collected using rating scale sheet (1-5) and percentage of learning using EMC outcomes. The research results show that the valid and practical aspects of the category are valid and practical enough with an average score of 3.68 (73.6%) and 3.75 (75.0%) respectively. While the results of the effective test obtained an average score of 3.74 (74.8%) and the competence test results is 80.51%. The advantages of EMC are attractive design, practical size, and ease of use (user-friendly). Students recommend that they enjoy learning with EMC and it supports learning about chassis.

Abstract

The objective of research was to reveal: (1) the learning outcome of students in experiment class, (2) the learning outcome of students in control class, (3) the effect of lectora inspire-based interactive learning media on the learning outcome of students. This study was a quasi-experiment research with Pretest-Posttest Control Design with students of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta being the subject of research. The instruments used in this research were questionnaire and test. The result of research showed that: (1) the learning outcome for experiment class indicated mean posttest value of 84.53, (2) the learning outcome for control class indicated mean posttest value of 71.73, and (3) there was an effect of Lectora Inspire-based interactive learning media on the learning outcome of students, as can be seen from the result of t-test calculation with t statistic 0,000 t table 0.05. The conclusion of research was that there was a difference of effect of lectora inspire-based interactive learning media application on the learning outcome of students between control and experiment classes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan relevansi bidang kerja lulusan dengan latar belakang pendidikan mereka; dan (2) memetakan relevansi kompetensi D3 Teknik Sipil di dunia kerja dengan kompetensi D3 Teknik Sipil di FT UNM. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh lulusan D3 teknik sipil 5 tahun terakhir dan industri tempat mereka bekerja. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan proportionate random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 16 lulusan dan 9 industri. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara terstruktur. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) relevansi bidang kerja lulusan dengan latar belakang pendidikan mereka Cukup Baik; dan 2) kompetensi di dunia kerja sudah relevan dengan kompetensi lulusan D3 teknik sipil FT UNM. Keterampilan teknis lulusan Cukup Relevan yang mencapai 73,68%, namun masih terdapat 26,32% yang sudah tidak relevan lagi. Pada keterampilan bekerja, sebagian besar lulusan mencapai tingkat Ahli, namun demikian keterampilan tersebut tidak diperoleh pada pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi melainkan mereka dapatkan setelah mereka bekerja. THE RELEVANCY COMPETENCIES OF CIVIL ENGINEERING DIPLOM THREE GRADUATES IN THE WORLD OF WORKAbstractThis study aims to: (1) describe the relevance of the graduates employment with their educational background; and (2) mapping the relevance of the graduates competencies with the competencies in the world of work. This studied is a survey research. The research population consisted of all graduates of D3 civil engineering FT UNM for last 5 years and the industries of graduates employment. Sampling using proportionate random sampling consisted 16 graduates and 9 industries. Data collected by questionnaire and structured interviews. Data was analysis used qualitative descriptive. The result shows that 1) the relevance of the graduates employment with their educational background was quite good; 2) the competency in the world of work was relevance to the competencies of the graduates of D3 civil engineering FT UNM. Graduates technical skills quite relevant for 73,68%, but 26,32% was not relevant anymore. In employability skills, many graduates have achieve expert level, eventhought they have it not from the learning in the university but in the world of work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kefektifan media pembelajaran kearsipan digital dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R D). Model pengembangan media ini menggunakan model Hannafin dan Peck. Subyek pengujian dilakukan di dua kelas, yaitu kelas X AP 1 (kelas eksperimen) dan X AP 2 (kelas kontrol) di SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. Uji prasyarat analisis meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan menggunakan uji-t. Teknik analisis yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan dari media pembelajaran kearsipan digital bahwa thitung ttabel = (3,26 2,00), maka H0 ditolak, itu berarti bahwa kedua kelompok memiliki skor prestasi belajar yang berbeda. Hasil posttest antara kelas eksperimen (menggunakan media yang dikembangkan) dengan kelas kontrol (tidak menggunakan media yang dikembangkan) menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen adalah 80,59, nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol 77, 97. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan media pembelajaran kearsipan  digital dianggap efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta.Kata kunci: kearsipan, media pembelajaran, microsoft access THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MEDIA ARCHIVES TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES SMK NEGERI 3 SURAKARTAAbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of instructional media digital archives in improving student learning outcomes SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. This study is a research and development (R D). Models using the model of media development Hannafin and Peck. Subjects testing was conducted in two classes, X AP 1 (experimental class) and X AP 2 (control group) at SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. Prerequisite test analysis covering the normality test, homogeneity and using t-test. The analysis technique used descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the effectiveness of digital archival media learning that tcount ttable = (3.26 2.00), then H0 is rejected, it means that the two groups had different learning achievement scores. Results posttest between the experimental class (using the media developed) with a control class (do not use the media developed) shows that the average value obtained experimental class is 80.59, the average value is higher than the control class 77, 97. Conclusion this research is the development of instructional media digital archives are considered effective in improving student learning outcomes SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta.Keywords: archives, learning media, microsoft access

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the level of employability skills of students of State Vocational Schools in Palu City. This type of research is a type of survey that is to describe the attitudes, behaviors, and opinions of students' research employability skills using a quantitative deskriptive approach, then the results of data analysis are described qualitatively, then presented in graphs, diagrams, tables, mean, modes, medians, standard deviation and variant. The population in this study was 1,275 students with a study sample of 295 students. The data collection technique used is using a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the level of employability skills of vocational students in Palu is generally categorized as very high. The high level of employability skills of students in the State Vocational School in Palu should be a supporting factor for students to get decent work and in accordance with their competency skills so that stakeholders, especially the school must really use it well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan (1) perencanaan; (2) pelaksanaan; (3) evaluasi pembelajaran; (4) evaluasi program; dan (5) manfaat dari praktik kerja industri. Jenis penelitian adalah survey. Sampel penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan tabel Isaac dan Michael dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data diskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, aspek perencanaan masuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi dengan skor 89,74 Aspek pelaksanaan menurut persepsi siswa, guru pembimbing dan pembimbing industri, masuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan skor masing-masing 320, 41,43 dan 48,7. Menurut persepsi siswa 19% guru pembimbing kurang dalam melakukan monitoring. Sebagian industri (47%) tidak pernah memberikan masukan pada sekolah. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan oleh semua industri. Pada aspek manfaat, siswa merasakan manfaat yang sangat besar dengan skor 340,16, sekolah merasakan manfaat yang besar dengan skor 8,88, dan industri merasakan manfaat yang besar dengan skor 57,5. THE INDUSTRIAL WORK PRACTICUM MANAGEMENT OF THE MACHINERY TECHNICAL SKILL PROGRAM OF SMK KULON PROGO REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to determine (1) the planning; (2) the implementation; (3) learning evaluation; (4) evaluation program; and (5) the benefits of the industrial work practicum.This study used survey method. The determination of the sample number used the sample size determination according to Isaac and Michael with the significance level of 5%. The data analysis used the descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the research show that the planning aspects is in the high category with scor is 89,74.. The aspects of the implementation as perceived by students, teachers/ mentors, and industry mentors are in the high category with mean scors each 320, 41,43 and 48,7. According to the students perception there is less guidance from the counselor (19%) in monitoring activities of the industrial work practicum. Some of the industries (47%) never provide input to schools to improve the industrial work practicum. The learning evaluation of the industrial work practicum is performed by all industries. In the benefit aspects of the industrial work practicum, the students get many benefits with scor is 340,16, so do the schools and the industry with scors each 8,88 and 57,5.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of the family environment, the previous school environment, the social environment, and the students’ attitude on the choice of the mechanical engineering expertise program in Vocational High Schools (VHSs) by the graduates of Junior High Schools. This was a correlational study which was ex post facto in nature. The study population totaled 1095 students. The sample, consisting of 300 students, was selected using the proportional random sampling technique by means of the Krejcie and Morgan formula. The data were collected through inventories, observation sheets, and documents. The content validity was assessed through expert judgment. The construct validity was assessed using the factor analysis and the reliability using the Cronbach’s Alpha formula. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that, there were significant effects of the family environment, the previous school environment, the social environment, and attitude in the choice of mechanical engineering expertise program in VHSs by the graduates of Junior High Schools

Abstract

This research aims to reveal: the development of workshop and laboratory management implementation, also the suitability of facilities and infrastructure on Vocational High School in Banggai District, which refers to the indicator of good workshop and laboratory, according to the Directorate of Vocational Education. This research is evaluation research, which employs a goal free evaluation model and descriptive quantitative approach. The research sample involved in this study was 187 teachers and students. The data analysis technique used in this research was the average score and skewness. The result of this research shows that: (1) The workshop development is appropriate enough and good, yet it still needs further improvement with students to score at 81.19 and -0.229 also the teachers at 197.78 and -0.433. (2) The laboratory development is appropriate enough, and it still needs further improvement with students to score at 96.64 and 0.393, also the teachers at 209.03 and 0.36. (3) The suitability of the workshop’s facilities and infrastructure is appropriate enough, and it still needs further improvement with the score at 250.205 and 0.549, and also the laboratory is appropriate enough and good, yet it still needs further improvement with the score at 252.80 and -1.694.
