Abstract

Objective: This study examines gender equality within the family in Uzbekistan, focusing on the persistence of gender stereotypes and their impact on social dynamics. It also investigates the implications of selective abortion on demographic balance. Method: The research employs a qualitative approach, analyzing policy documents, demographic data, and cultural narratives to assess the intersection of gender norms and legal reforms. Results: Findings indicate that while Uzbekistan has made significant progress in aligning gender policies with international standards, deeply ingrained cultural stereotypes continue to hinder women’s full participation in various spheres of life. Additionally, selective abortion has contributed to a demographic imbalance, raising concerns about long-term socio-economic consequences. Novelty: This study provides a critical analysis of gender inequality within the framework of national traditions and state policies, offering insights into the socio-cultural barriers to achieving gender parity in Uzbekistan. By highlighting the intersection of policy and societal norms, the study contributes to discussions on sustainable gender reforms and demographic challenges.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the legal foundations of religious tolerance in Uzbekistan by examining the constitutional provisions, legislative frameworks, and policy measures that regulate religious freedom while maintaining national security and social stability. Method: A qualitative research approach is employed, utilizing legal analysis, historical records, and policy documentation to evaluate the effectiveness of Uzbekistan’s legal mechanisms in fostering religious tolerance. Comparative analysis with international agreements and best practices further contextualizes the findings. Results: The findings reveal that Uzbekistan has institutionalized religious freedom through constitutional protections, legal regulations, and state oversight. The government has implemented policies that balance religious tolerance with measures to prevent extremism and maintain social order. Interfaith dialogue programs and educational initiatives have also played a crucial role in sustaining religious harmony. Novelty: This study contributes to the discourse on religion and law by demonstrating how Uzbekistan’s legal framework integrates religious freedom with state supervision to ensure national unity. Unlike previous studies that focus solely on religious freedom or security concerns, this research highlights a structured approach that other multicultural societies can adopt to promote religious tolerance while safeguarding social stability.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze various forms of criminal acts in the marine and fisheries sectors within Lampung waters and evaluate the implementation of integral policy responses to maintain maritime security and resource sustainability. Method: The research applies a multidisciplinary approach that includes legal, analytical, historical, case, and comparative methods. Results: The study identifies multiple criminal activities, including fish bombing, illegal fishing, smuggling, narcotics trafficking, theft, oil and gas crimes, illegal mining, mismanagement, sexual offenses, possession of sharp weapons, and extortion. In response, two main policy strategies are implemented: non-penal (preventive) efforts—such as socio-economic development, legal awareness campaigns, moral education, and maritime patrols—and penal (repressive) efforts, emphasizing firm law enforcement to deter recidivism and reinforce legal compliance. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive criminological analysis of maritime crimes specific to Lampung waters, integrating both preventive and repressive dimensions, and offers a model of integral policy implementation that balances social defense and welfare to strengthen maritime governance

Abstract

Background: Effective records management is a critical component of administrative efficiency in educational institutions, especially in the digital era where rapid access to accurate information is essential for school operations and accountability. Specific Background: SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo provides a representative case for examining the current state of records management within Indonesian public high schools, particularly in the context of transitioning from manual to digital systems. Knowledge Gap: While records management has been widely discussed in the context of corporate and government institutions, limited research has been conducted on its implementation, challenges, and development strategies in the education sector, especially at the high school level. Aims: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of records management practices in the administrative section of SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo, identify key challenges, and propose strategic recommendations for improvement. Results: The study reveals several ongoing challenges, including limited availability of digital records, slow retrieval processes, weak information security measures, and inadequate human resources and infrastructure. These factors collectively hinder the effectiveness of administrative recordkeeping. Novelty: This research offers one of the first in-depth qualitative evaluations of school-based records management practices in an Indonesian high school setting. It provides insights into the transitional issues faced by educational institutions in adopting digital documentation systems. Implications: The findings suggest the need for a comprehensive records digitization initiative, the development of an integrated digital records management system, upskilling of administrative personnel, and improved investment in technological infrastructure. These recommendations serve as a strategic guide for educational institutions aiming to modernize administrative practices in alignment with digital transformation goals.

Abstract

Background: The Smart Indonesia Program (Program Indonesia Pintar/PIP) plays a crucial role in improving access to education for underprivileged students through financial assistance. Effective implementation is essential to ensure that benefits are delivered equitably and efficiently. Specific Background: SMK Negeri 1 Buduran in Sidoarjo Regency provides a relevant case study for examining the practical implementation of PIP in vocational education. As an active PIP distributor, the school reflects both strengths and challenges in program execution. Knowledge Gap: Despite the nationwide scope of PIP, limited qualitative research explores school-level administrative perspectives, particularly in organizing resources, distributing aid, and engaging stakeholders through communication and outreach. Aims: This study aims to investigate the implementation of PIP at SMK Negeri 1 Buduran by exploring administrator experiences, evaluating resource management, and identifying shortcomings in program socialization to students and parents. Results: The findings indicate that PIP implementation at SMK Negeri 1 Buduran is generally well-organized, supported by a clear administrative structure, competent staff, and adequate infrastructure. Nevertheless, the program’s socialization efforts are still lacking, leading to limited understanding among beneficiaries regarding the objectives, mechanisms, and benefits of PIP. Novelty: This research provides one of the few in-depth qualitative evaluations of PIP at the school level, particularly in a vocational setting. It offers insights into how resource allocation and stakeholder communication influence the effectiveness of program implementation. Implications: The study recommends enhancing socialization strategies to ensure better awareness and engagement from students and parents. Strengthened communication and broader stakeholder involvement are essential to improving program transparency and supporting educational equity goals.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the structural composition and typological classification of female offenders by identifying patterns based on behavior, social background, and crime characteristics. Method: The research employs a qualitative approach, synthesizing theoretical frameworks and empirical studies from established criminological literature to develop a structured typology of female criminality. Results: The analysis reveals that female offenders can be systematically grouped into specific categories that reflect distinct socio-psychological and economic influences. These typologies provide valuable insights into the underlying factors driving women’s involvement in criminal activity, highlighting both individual motivations and broader systemic issues. The study also identifies critical shortcomings in current criminal justice responses to female offenders, particularly in the areas of prevention and rehabilitation. Novelty: Unlike existing studies that often generalize offender profiles, this research emphasizes a gender-sensitive approach by integrating multiple dimensions—behavioral, social, and economic—into a cohesive typological framework. It proposes practical, evidence-based recommendations for improving policies and programs that address the unique needs of female offenders, thereby contributing to the refinement of criminological theory and justice system practices.
