Abstract

Laundry wastewater contains phosphates from detergents that can pollute the environment and cause eutrophication. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of eco enzyme as a biocatalyst in reducing phosphate levels in laundry wastewater through an anaerobic process. The eco enzyme was produced from the fermentation of fruit and vegetable peels with molasses and water, and was then applied in various concentrations. The method used in this research was a one-way factorial experimental design with a quantitative approach. Observations were conducted over 5 days, and the overall research was carried out for two months, from March 16 to May 27, 2025. Phosphate concentrations were measured using a HACH DR/2010 spectrophotometer. The results showed a decrease in phosphate levels across all concentration variations, with average reductions of 0.27 mg/L at 10% concentration, 0.25 mg/L at 20%, 0.30 mg/L at 30%, and 0.13 mg/L at 40%. The ANOVA test indicated a significant effect of eco enzyme application on phosphate reduction (p<0.05), while the LSD test revealed that the 40% concentration was the most effective dose. This study highlights the potential of organic waste materials as an environmentally friendly alternative to reduce organic waste generation and improve community environmental health. It is expected that eco enzyme can serve as a natural biocatalyst to reduce phosphate parameters in laundry wastewater treatment, making the effluent safe for discharge into the environment.

Abstract

Kekeruhan merupakan salah satu parameter penting dalam menilai kualitas air sungai yang sering digunakan masyarakat untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Tingginya tingkat kekeruhan dapat mengganggu pemanfaatan air dan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi ketebalan pasir pada media saringan pasir lambat terhadap penurunan kadar kekeruhan air sungai di Gampong Lhok Pange, Kecamatan Seunagan Timur, Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan tiga variasi ketebalan media pasir, yaitu 60 cm, 70 cm, dan 80 cm. Masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan tiga kali pengulangan, dan pengukuran kekeruhan dilakukan menggunakan turbidity meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketebalan 80 cm mampu menurunkan kekeruhan dari 14,3 NTU menjadi 6,5 NTU; ketebalan 70 cm menurunkan dari 14,3 NTU menjadi 9,8 NTU; dan ketebalan 60 cm menurunkan dari 14,3 NTU menjadi 9,7 NTU. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan adanya pengaruh perbedaan pasir lambat untuk menurunkan kadar kekeruhan air (p <0,05), dan uji lanjut LSD menunjukkan ketebalan 60 cm, 70 cm dan 80 cm tidak berbeda nyata terhadap penurunan kadar kekeruhan air. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ketebalan 80 cm yang mendekati ambang batas kejernihan air bersih sesuai standar Kementerian Kesehatan

Abstract

Skizofrenia merupakah salah satu dari 10 penyakit teratas yang membatasi kehidupan sesorang. Salah satu masalah dalam penanganan skizofrenia adalah kekambuhan. Kekambuhan biasanya muncul pada satu tahun setelah terdiagnosa skizofrenia yang dialami oleh: 60 - 70% pasien yang tidak mendapatkan terapi medikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai upaya pencegahan kekambuhan yang dilakukan oleh keluarga di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Juli Kabupaten Bireuen. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 58 responden dengan kriteria keluarga yang memiliki anggota keluarga yang mengalami skizofrenia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencegahan kekambuhan pasien skizofrenia dalam kategori baik yaitu sebanyak 36 responden (62,1%). Diharapkan kepada perawat jiwa agar dapat memberikan terapi psikoedukasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga merawat penderita skizofrenia dengan menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan keluarga.

Abstract

Malikussaleh Airport currently uses social media such as Instagram to share information, which results in limited information accessibility for visitors regarding news, profiles, and airport activities. This study aimed to develop a website-based information system to facilitate employees in disseminating information and ease public access to updated airport news. The system was built using PHP programming language, MySQL database, and designed through Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). The implementation produced an informative and accessible platform that allows the airport management to provide transparent news, flight updates, and activity galleries. The results showed that the website effectively improved the information distribution process compared to previous social media-only methods.

Abstract

Bufferbloat in broadband networks often leads to high latency, which degrades the Quality of Experience (QoE), particularly for time-sensitive activities. MikroTik RouterOS v7 introduces modern Active Queue Management (AQM) algorithms, such as FQ-CoDel and CAKE, which are claimed to outperform traditional algorithms like SFQ and PCQ. This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of these four queuing algorithms in a single-link gateway scenario on a 35 Mbps internet service. The research methodology employs a quantitative experimental approach by saturating the network with heavy traffic. Quality of Service (QoS) parameters including throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss—were measured based on TIPHON standards. The results indicate that modern algorithms maintain latency stability under full load significantly better than traditional ones. This study recommends the use of FQ-CoDel for resource efficiency and CAKE for maximum quality

Abstract

Emesis gravidarum is a common symptom ranging from discomfort to prolonged vomiting, affecting approximately 50-60% of pregnant women. The potential impacts of emesis gravidarum on pregnant women include decreased appetite, which can lead to malnutrition and dehydration, which can be dangerous for both mother and fetus. Data from the Baiturrahman Community Health Center in Banda Aceh City indicates that in 2024, 187 pregnant women (85.7%) experienced emesis gravidarum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ginger water infusion on the management of emesis gravidarum in the Baiturrahman Community Health Center's working area in Banda Aceh City in 2025. The research method used was a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest approach with a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 30 pregnant women with emesis gravidarum in the Baiturrahman Community Health Center Work Area, Banda Aceh City. The time of this research was conducted on April 22 to May 8, 2025 with univariate and bivariate analysis with paired t-test. The results showed that before giving ginger, most of them experienced emesis gravidarum in the moderate category, namely 23 people (76.7%), while after giving ginger, most of them experienced emesis gravidarum in the mild category, namely 25 people (83.3%). Before being given ginger water infusion, the average emesis gravidarum score was 8.43, while after being given ginger water infusion, the average score became 4.73 with a decrease of 3.70 and a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, so there is an effect of giving ginger water infusion on emesis gravidarum. It is hoped that health workers will implement the administration of ginger water as a complementary therapy in treating emesis gravidarum and also provide counseling about the benefits of ginger water for pregnant women.
