Abstract

This study examines the sustainable rice value chain in Sidodadi Village and evaluates how local economic policies can enhance regional competitiveness within Indonesia's agricultural sector. Rice production remains central to rural livelihoods, yet smallholder farmers face persistent challenges, including limited market access, inadequate post-harvest infrastructure, and fragmented policy frameworks. Through a mixed-methods case study approach combining qualitative interviews with 45 stakeholders and quantitative value chain analysis across 120 farm households, this research identifies critical bottlenecks in production, processing, and distribution stages. Findings reveal that coordinated local policies integrating sustainable agricultural practices, cooperative strengthening, and digital market linkages can increase farmer income by 23-31% while reducing environmental degradation. The study contributes two original frameworks: a multi-stakeholder governance model for rice value chains and a localized policy toolkit adaptable to smallholder contexts. Policy implications emphasize decentralized decision-making, investment in agro-processing facilities, and capacity building for farmer organizations. These interventions collectively build competitive advantage while ensuring environmental sustainability and social equity in rural economies.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of STEAM-based learning integrated with loose parts media to develop early childhood creativity at TK Nurul Qur’an Stabat. The research was conducted in response to the increasing need for learning approaches that prepare young children to think critically, solve problems, and adapt to rapid technological development. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to describe the real conditions of children aged 4–5 years before and during the application of STEAM activities using loose parts materials. The findings indicate that children’s creativity measured through their ability to generate new ideas, create original products, and modify existing formshad not developed optimally prior to the intervention. The implementation of STEAM with loose parts provided opportunities for children to explore, experiment, imagine, and create freely according to their ideas. The study concludes that STEAM-based learning using loose parts has strong potential to enhance early childhood creativity, supported by engaging activities that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. This approach also fosters children’s curiosity, collaborative skills, and problem-solving abilities. The research further identifies supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation process, emphasizing the need for teacher competence, appropriate learning media, and a conducive environment to optimize children’s creative development.

Abstract

Digitalization has become increasingly essential for service-based micro and small enterprises, including businesses that provide party and event equipment rentals. Traditional rental workflows such as manual communication, inconsistent stock updates, and the absence of transparent availability information often hinder operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. To address these challenges, this study aims to develop a web-based digital rental platform for party and event equipment using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. UCD was selected because it emphasizes continuous user involvement throughout the system development lifecycle, ensuring that the resulting platform aligns with real user needs and usability expectations. The research was conducted through four key stages: user requirement analysis, iterative prototyping, system implementation, and usability evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and user testing involving both customers and rental administrators. The final system provides a structured equipment catalog, real-time availability display, an intuitive booking workflow, and an administrative dashboard for managing inventory and rental schedules. Usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded a score of 82.4, indicating excellent usability. Task completion rates improved significantly, and user feedback highlighted enhanced clarity, reduced interaction errors, and faster rental processing. The findings demonstrate that adopting UCD contributes to the development of a more intuitive, efficient, and user-validated rental platform. This study provides practical insights into the application of UCD in service-oriented digital systems and supports ongoing efforts to modernize rental operations through web-based solutions

Abstract

The establishment of Village/Sub-District Red and White Cooperatives (Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih/KDKMP) represents a transformative policy initiative in Indonesia's regional development framework (Thabit & Mora, 2023; Jamaluddin et al., 2023). This study examines the regulatory and institutional architecture governing KDKMP implementation and its implications for optimizing regional development planning across Indonesian districts. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach combining policy analysis, institutional assessment, and stakeholder consultations conducted from January to August 2025, this research evaluates the governance structures, funding mechanisms, and operational frameworks established under Law No. 3 of 2024 and Ministry of Finance Regulation No. 49 of 2025 (McNaught, 2024). The findings reveal that effective KDKMP implementation requires multi-stakeholder collaborative governance, strategic alignment with national development priorities including Asta Cita and SDGs, and capacity-building mechanisms for cooperative managers (Douglas & Ansell, 2023; Rodríguez-Pose et al., 2024). Analysis of 8,494 cooperatives established in East Java Province demonstrates that systematic regulatory frameworks correlate with accelerated economic empowerment, enhanced agricultural value chains, and improved financial inclusion in rural communities (Mohammadi et al., 2024). However, challenges persist including institutional capacity gaps, funding access limitations, and coordination inefficiencies between government levels. The study contributes a comprehensive regulatory framework model that integrates policy coherence, institutional strengthening, and participatory planning mechanisms to optimize KDKMP's role in regional development. These findings offer practical guidance for policymakers and development practitioners implementing cooperative-based development strategies in emerging economies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the vegetative growth response of Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) resulting from different seed planting depths and eco-enzyme application, as well as their interaction effects. The research was conducted in Sei Sikambing B Village, Medan Sunggal District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province, at an altitude of approximately ±25 meters above sea level. The study took place from July to October 2025. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was seed depth, denoted as "K," consisting of K0 = 0 cm, K1 = 0.5 cm, K2 = 1.0 cm, and K3 = 1.5 cm. The second factor was eco-enzyme application, denoted as "E," consisting of E0 = 0 ml/liter of water, E1 = 100 ml/liter of water, E2 = 200 ml/liter of water, and E3 = 300 ml/liter of water. The observed parameters included germination percentage (%), germination time (days), plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaves), and stem diameter (mm). The results showed that seed depth and eco-enzyme application significantly affected several parameters, including germination percentage, germination time, plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. However, the interaction between seed depth and eco-enzyme application did not have a significant effect on germination percentage, germination time, plant height, number of leaves, or stem diameter.

Abstract

The digitization of inventory management in gas stations has become increasingly crucial for improving record accuracy, operational efficiency, and the reliability of device monitoring. However, the identification of inventory devices is still widely performed manually, making the process vulnerable to recording errors, data inconsistencies, and delays in audit activities. This study aims to implement a Deep Learning–based Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to automatically classify inventory digitization devices in gas stations, including digital sensors, fuel pumps, control panels, electronic dispensers, and monitoring modules. The image dataset of these devices was collected through direct acquisition and further expanded using augmentation techniques to address limited data availability. The CNN method was developed through several key stages, including image preprocessing, automated feature extraction through convolutional layers, and model training using regularization and hyperparameter tuning to achieve optimal performance. The model’s performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and a confusion matrix. The results indicate that the CNN model achieved a classification accuracy of XX% (to be updated after experimentation), demonstrating its capability to effectively recognize visual patterns of inventory devices. These findings confirm that deep learning provides a reliable automation solution for gas station inventory digitization processes and contributes to more efficient asset management and data-driven decision-making

Abstract

Consumer protection is a fundamental aspect in shaping a healthy, fair, and competitive business climate. The existence of regulations such as Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection provides a legal basis to guarantee consumer rights while imposing obligations on business actors to uphold ethical and responsible business practices. This study aims to analyze the role of consumer protection law in increasing consumer trust and business actors in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative juridical approach, with descriptive-analytical techniques, focusing on rules and regulations, the scientific literature, and results of previous research. The results of the study show that the proper application of consumer protection law has a positive impact on consumer trust, as it provides a sense of security when conducting transactions and legal certainty in dispute resolution. In addition, the regulation encourages business actors to improve professionalism by enhancing product quality, transparency of information, and service quality to maintain customer reputation and loyalty. However, the effectiveness of the law's implementation still faces challenges, including weak supervision, low public legal awareness, and a limited role for consumer dispute resolution institutions. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen legal education, optimize the supervisory system, and digitize the complaint mechanism to enhance the effectiveness of consumer protection implementation in Indonesia. This research also recommends collaboration among the government, business actors, and consumer organizations to strengthen legal protection, accelerate complaint handling, and build a compliance assessment system that encourages healthy, sustainable business competition.

Abstract

Mail management is one of the administrative activities that plays an important role in maintaining smooth communication and documentation in an organization. However, many agencies still use manual methodsin recording, distribution, and storing letters, so there are often obstacles such as process delays, recording errors, and difficulties in tracing archives. This research aims to design a website-based mail administration system as a solution to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the mail management process. The design method uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) to model functional needs and process flows in a structured manner through use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams. The results of the design show that the proposed system is ableto provide a more organized, accessible, and well-documented mail management mechanism. With UML modeling support, system designs become clearer, standardized, and easier to develop. This research is expected to be the basis for the implementation of a digital mail administration system that supports the improvement of the qualityof administrative services in various institutions.
