Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in improving the psychology and morals of class X students of Panca Budi College and to find out how to improve the morals of class X students of Panca Budi College. (3) Inhibiting factors in improving the morals of students of X Panca Budi college. This research type is strati- tative with direct observation and data retrieval at the research site and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of an integrated information system in educational institutions, and the impact of the application of an education management information system on ethics and society. This research was conducted in three different locations, namely Medan City, Binjai City, and Asahan Regency. This research uses qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study explain that the application of an integrated information system developed by PT. Engineering Technology Metromatics uses the edulink application. This application is a school management-based application that can help educational institutions to create a learning environment and management activities to be more effective and efficient. By using this information system application, all data about the development of students will be recorded digitally, so that the actions that will be taken by teachers or parents/guardians of students in dealing with student problems can be about the substance of the problems faced by students. Through this information system, the track record of students will be clearly identified, so that actions in solving student problems can be carried out on target, effectively and efficiently. This application has a positive impact on teachers, especially in identifying and recording all attitudes and attitude assessments so that they can be the basis for developing student attitudes.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital literacy based on local wisdom in the context of inclusive education. Digital literacy is essential in modern education, especially in the current digital era. However, inclusive education, which encourages the participation of children with various special needs, often requires a more specific approach focused on local wisdom to achieve maximum success. This research discusses the concept of digital literacy, defines local wisdom, and outlines how integrating digital literacy based on local wisdom can support inclusive education. The results indicate that this approach can significantly enhance participation, learning, and the development of inclusive education.Keywords: digital literacy, local wisdom, inclusive education

Abstract

The readiness of children to begin formal schooling is a critical factor in their educational journey, impacting their ability to adapt and succeed in a structured learning environment. This study aims to analyze the school readiness of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Ummul Habibah, located in Klambir V Kebon Village, Deli Serdang Regency. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research investigates various dimensions of school readiness, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Data were collected through observations, structured interviews with educators and parents, and assessments of children's developmental milestones. The findings indicate that while a majority of the children demonstrate adequate cognitive and language skills, there are notable variances in social-emotional readiness and physical development. Factors influencing these variances include family background, early childhood education experiences, and parental involvement. The study underscores the importance of comprehensive early childhood programs that address all aspects of school readiness and suggests targeted interventions to support areas where children are less prepared. The results provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in enhancing early childhood education strategies to ensure all children are equipped for the transition to formal schooling.

Abstract

Di Kelurahan Sunggal, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah minimnya pemahaman orang tua mengenai gizi dan stunting, serta kurangnya minat untuk memeriksakan kesehatan anak secara rutin ke posyandu. Ditambah lagi, kurangnya akses terhadap informasi berbasis digital mengenai stunting dan pengasuhan yang dapat memperburuk situasi ini. Kebanyakan orang tua belum memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memperoleh informasi penting mengenai kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu inovasi yang memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung program penurunan stunting di daerah ini. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, program Pemberdayaan Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dirancang dengan fokus pada peningkatan pemahaman orang tua terhadap tumbuh kembang anak, stunting, dan parenting melalui aplikasi berbasis Android, “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting).” Metode tahapan pelaksanaan yang akan dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi: sosialisasi kepada orang tua, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting)”, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan program. Aplikasi “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting)” berbasis android akan menjadi upaya strategis yang dapat dilakukan dalam membangun generasi emas bebas stunting dengan memanfaatkan berkembangnya konsep parenting berbasis digital yang memungkinkan masyarakat mendapatkan informasi secara mobile learning yang memberikan ruang informasi dimana saja dan kapan saja. Hal ini memberikan peluang besar dalam membangun generasi emas bebas stunting.

Abstract

Self-harm in adolescents is becoming an issue of increasing concern, especially due to increased exposure to content on social media that can influence their behaviour. Adolescents who are experiencing emotional distress often use self-harm as a coping mechanism to deal with stress, anxiety, or feelings of helplessness. The development of an Indonesian version of this instrument is necessary to provide a valid and reliable measurement tool appropriate to the local cultural context in identifying tendencies towards self-harm and risk-taking behavior in the adolescent population in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to develop an Indonesian of the risk-taking and self-harm inventory for adolescents (SHIA). A sample of N = 446 participants was approached through an online survey created using google forms, a free online survey tool. Data were collected from various universities in Indonesia, 84 male students (18.8%) and 362 female students (81.2%). SHIA-18, with four aspects, namely: 1) mutilation, (2) self-harm, (3) overdose, and (4) suicide attempts. Data were analysed using a Rasch model approach. The findings of this research produced the SHIA-18 which has satisfactory psychometric properties as a valid and consistent tool for assessing the level of self-harm in adolescent, consisting of 18 items. The tool demonstrated strong internal consistency and measurement properties, and its performance was found to be invariant across gender.

Abstract

This study explores the permissibility and application of punishment in Islamic early childhood education by integrating Islamic principles and educational theories. Using a qualitative library research approach, the study analyzes books and journal articles to understand the purpose, conditions, and ethical boundaries of punishment. The findings reveal that punishment is allowed in both frameworks if administered wisely—without physical or psychological harm—and aimed at behavioral improvement. Islam and modern education agree that punishment should follow love, advice, and awareness-building strategies. This study emphasizes the importance of conscious, proportional, and compassionate disciplinary practices in shaping children's moral development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of addiction to YouTube and TikTok platforms on early childhood. Using a qualitative literature review method, this research examines various literature related to the influence of social media on children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and psychological development. The results show that unsupervised usage may lead to vocabulary decline, disrupted social interaction, sleep disorders, and behavioral problems. On the other hand, when used with parental guidance, these platforms also have the potential to enhance children’s creativity, language comprehension, and curiosity. Data from APJII and Common Sense Media indicate high internet usage among early childhood children in Indonesia. Therefore, active parental involvement in regulating the duration and content accessed by children is crucial to avoid negative impacts and optimize the educational potential of these media.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan self-compassion antara mahasiswa bersuku jawa dan bersuku batak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan komparasi. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa sebanyak 272 mahasiswa. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 220 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari yang bersuku jawa dan bersuku batak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ntuk uji hipotesis ialah teknik Independen sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent sample t test diatas dapat diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi variabel self-compassion sebesar 0,009 0,05. Hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa terdapat perbedaan self-compassion pada mahasiswa berdasarkan suku budaya. Terdapat perbedaan self-compassion pada mahasiswa yang bersuku jawa dan batak, dilihat dari perbedaan nilai mean yang mana mean self-compassion pada mahasiswa jawa lebih besar dari pada mean self-compassion pada mahasiswa yang bersuku batak, yaitu self-compassion mahasiswa suku jawa memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 110.98, sedangkan self-compassion mahasiswa suku batak memiliki nilai sebesar 101.39.
