Abstract

This study investigates the level of strategic alignment between Information Technology (IT) and business in digital start-ups across Java, Indonesia, using Luftman’s Strategic Alignment Maturity (SAM) model as the primary analytical framework. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from structured questionnaires with qualitative insights from interviews involving supervisors from IT and business divisions. The findings indicate that digital start-ups have achieved a moderate level of alignment maturity, corresponding to the Established Focused Process stage, with an average score of 3.45. Partnership and technology scope emerged as the most mature domains, demonstrating effective collaboration and technological adaptability. In contrast, governance and competency measurement were identified as areas requiring significant improvement. The results highlight that alignment in these organizations is largely driven by informal relationships, entrepreneurial culture, and shared innovation values rather than by formal governance systems. Strengthening IT governance, implementing structured performance metrics, and promoting cross-functional skill development are recommended to advance alignment maturity. This research contributes to the broader understanding of IT-business integration in emerging digital economies and provides a practical framework for improving strategic coherence and organizational performance in start-up environments.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced the development of e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, where Tokopedia stands out as one of the most popular and widely used online marketplaces. As user expectations continue to increase, understanding and measuring user satisfaction has become essential for ensuring service quality and maintaining customer loyalty. This study aims to perform a comparative analysis of the performance of two machine learning classification algorithms—K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) and Naive Bayes—in analyzing and predicting user satisfaction levels toward the Tokopedia application. The dataset used in this study was obtained from a combination of online reviews and structured survey responses from active Tokopedia users. The research methodology includes several stages: data collection, text preprocessing (tokenization, stop-word removal, and stemming), feature extraction using the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) technique, and model implementation using the two algorithms. Both models were evaluated using key performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The experimental results indicate that the K-NN algorithm achieved superior performance compared to Naive Bayes, demonstrating higher accuracy and better consistency in classifying user sentiments into “satisfied” and “dissatisfied” categories. The K-NN model proved to be more effective in handling diverse and nonlinear data patterns derived from user-generated reviews. Meanwhile, Naive Bayes, although computationally efficient, showed limitations in processing complex text dependencies. The findings of this research highlight the importance of selecting appropriate machine learning algorithms for user satisfaction analysis. Furthermore, the study contributes to the broader understanding of sentiment-based evaluation models in e-commerce platforms and provides valuable insights for Tokopedia and similar companies in enhancing customer experience and service improvement strategies.

Abstract

This descriptive research analyzes the perception of Panca Budi University students' perception of the implementation of online Calculus learning. Calculus is admittedly difficult, exacerbated by pretest results  that show that 60% of students do not understand learning. The results of the study show a comprehensive negative perception of Calculus online learning. This negative perception was studied from three aspects: Content of Material (87% negative), Learning Interaction (75% negative), and Learning Environment (40% negative). Although the presentation of teaching materials by lecturers is considered positive, it is not able to change the negative perception of the material itself. Students argue that the most effective learning process is through face-to-face and direct explanations. This negative perception is a serious challenge, also rooted in the low ability to recall previous learning. Efforts can be focused on reintegrating more effective face-to-face methods, or if online is to be maintained, it is necessary to adapt the learning model that is able to create a more interactive, supportive, and adequate environment to facilitate in-depth problem-solving exercises.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate an integrated framework combining COBIT 2019 and ISO/IEC 27001 to enhance IT governance and information security management. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research involved document analysis, expert interviews, and a case-based validation within a government institution. The integration process consisted of three phases: mapping, harmonization, and synthesis, which resulted in the development of the Integrated IT Governance and Security Framework (IGSF). The findings reveal a high degree of alignment between COBIT 2019’s governance domains and ISO/IEC 27001’s security control structures, forming a unified model that strengthens strategic alignment, risk management, and compliance. Expert validation confirmed that the IGSF facilitates better communication between governance and security teams, reduces redundancy, and enhances operational efficiency. The practical case study demonstrated improved coordination, documentation, and audit readiness following implementation. This study contributes to IT governance and information security literature by presenting a structured, adaptable framework that organizations can adopt to achieve both governance excellence and security resilience. The results also suggest potential for future quantitative evaluation to measure the impact of this integration on organizational performance and compliance outcomes.

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a moral offence, and sexual harassment is a form of ethical violations that are not only national legal problems in a country but are also global legal problems for all countries. Child sexual abuse can be a means of spreading HIV/AIDS, especially if the perpetrator is HIV-positive. HIV/AIDS transmission to children can also occur from mother to child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. The recent surge in cases of sexual violence against children can be said to be multifactorial. These factors can be identified as two: internal and external. Internal factors are causes originating from within the perpetrator of sexual violence, such as psychological factors, biological factors, moral factors, revenge factors, and past trauma. Meanwhile, external factors can be identified as follows: cultural factors, economic factors, factors of minimal collective awareness of child protection in educational environments, factors of exposure to child pornography and adult pornography that victimizes children, factors of weak law enforcement and relatively light threats of punishment, factors of disharmony between legislative products related to children's issues, factors of children in disaster and emergencies

Abstract

This study evaluates the readiness and competitiveness of Small and Medium Industry (IKM) clusters across districts and cities in North Sumatra using a structured scoring model that assesses six key dimensions: institutional and legal capacity, production and human resources, market access and competitiveness, sustainability and development, and linkages to Special Economic Zones (KEK) and Industrial Estates (KI). The analysis, based on quantitative scoring complemented by qualitative insights, reveals significant disparities in cluster performance. Leading clusters such as the Simalungun Coffee Cluster and the Serdang Bedagai Pandan Weaving Cluster demonstrate strong institutional frameworks, high production capacity, product innovation, and established market linkages. Meanwhile, developing and potential clusters exhibit moderate performance but require improvements in technology adoption, product diversification, and market expansion. Clusters in the guidance category face fundamental challenges, including weak institutional structures, limited production capabilities, and minimal access to broader markets. Overall, the findings highlight the critical role of institutional strengthening, technological upgrading, and market integration as core strategies for cluster development. The study recommends a phased and targeted development approach tailored to each cluster’s readiness level to enhance regional competitiveness and support sustainable industrial growth in North Sumatra.
