Apart from that, waste can also boost the school economy, by selling non-organic waste directly or making handicrafts which of course will increase the selling price. For this reason, the author also created a product as a first step, with the hope that the school would develop other products to increase selling prices and as a form of student creativity training.

Abstract

Socialization is a process of interaction and learning carried out by a human from birth until the end of his life in a cultural society. Meanwhile, in a narrow sense, it is a learning process for humans to be able to recognize the environment they will live in in the future, both physical and social. First aid is providing immediate assistance to people suffering from illness or accidents who require basic medical treatment. Meanwhile, an accident is an event that occurs accidentally, such as a traffic accident, being stabbed by a sharp object or an injury while exercising. The aim of writing this proposal is to provide knowledge regarding first aid for accidents (P3K) and injuries that occur after sports. Know what first aid should be done when experiencing sports accidents and injuries. Seeing the extent of success in providing knowledge or outreach to the public regarding first aid for accidents (P3K) and sports injuries.

Abstract

Financial literacy is becoming increasingly important along with the development of the economy, therefore financial literacy is something that cannot be separated from everyday life. For most high school students, it is the first time they manage their own finances without parental supervision. Lack of financial literacy causes mistakes in managing finances. Based on the findings of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) (Wibowo, 2024), the number of bad loans of more than 90 days in the peer-to-peer financial technology (P2P lending) industry, or known as pinjol for the individual category has reached IDR 1.73 trillion as of May 2023. The problem is, the Millennial generation or those aged 19-34 years are the largest "contributors" to these bad loans. Various experts say that the Millennial generation is in debt because of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon, aka following trends so as not to feel "left behind". Some other experts think that their financial literacy is low.

Abstract

This community service journal article discusses the practice of silaturahmi (social bonding) and the tradition of halal bi halal within Javanese society as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebration. These traditions represent a unique form of integration between Islamic values and longstanding local customs. Using Robert Redfield's theoretical framework of great tradition and little tradition, this article highlights how Islam, as a great tradition, did not replace local cultures, but instead blended harmoniously with the little traditions of the Javanese people. Eid al-Fitr in Java is celebrated with an atmosphere of joy, festivity, and togetherness—often perceived as more vibrant than in Islam’s place of origin. This distinctiveness stems from the culturally sensitive approach of early Islamic scholars and missionaries in Java, who avoided imposing radical changes on local traditions. Instead, they subtly and wisely revived ancient customs by integrating them with Islamic teachings. One notable outcome of this approach is the tradition of halal bi halal, a social innovation that has become a key cultural institution during Eid. It strengthens social bonds, reconnects families and communities, and serves as a medium for reconciliation. Through this lens, the article illustrates how the cultural and religious fusion can foster harmony and enrich religious practices without losing local identity. These findings offer meaningful insights for promoting tolerance and inclusivity in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

The implementation of alcohol Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at Auburn University Hotel faces challenges in consistency, especially during large events. This study evaluates and optimizes SOP implementation using direct observation and in-depth interviews. Observations monitored waiters’ real-time compliance, while interviews with managers, supervisors, and waiters explored consistency issues and obstacles. Results reveal that although 14 SOPs are provided, four—approaching the host, serving women first, pouring from the right side, and avoiding bottle-glass contact—are not optimally implemented. External factors such as limited space, time pressure, and guest service priorities often hinder execution. Interviews suggested three optimization strategies: continuous training, enhanced supervision, and regular evaluation with flexible SOP adjustments

Abstract

SMEs play a strategic role in the national economy but face significant challenges in improving productivity and competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market environment. This research analyzes the implementation of integrated manufacturing systems in SMEs through an industrial engineering approach. Using a qualitative methodology, data was collected through a hybrid webinar platform involving 45 participants from SME sectors, academia, industry, and local government. The research identifies critical success factors for implementation, including management commitment, financial resources, and continuous human resource training, which collectively contribute 68% to successful technology adoption. The PDCA-based technical assistance model developed shows a 30% increase in operator productivity through lean manufacturing implementation and production layout optimization. Economic impacts include an average 40% increase in SME turnover within six months post-implementation, while social benefits include a 12% reduction in local unemployment. The study confirms that integrated manufacturing systems effectively improve SME productivity by 15-25%, though challenges remain in digital infrastructure limitations and resistance to traditional work system changes, requiring multi-stakeholder collaboration to develop a comprehensive supporting ecosystem.

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries (SMIs) play a critical role in Indonesia’s economy, contributing significantly to employment and non-oil GDP. However, low production efficiency due to poor machinery maintenance and high downtime remains a persistent challenge. This study explores the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) as a systematic approach to enhance operational efficiency in SMIs through a literature review and participatory community service frameworks. By analyzing case studies such as the Laweyan batik industry, where TPM adoption reduced machine downtime by 40% and defects by 25%, the research highlights the importance of integrating TPM’s eight pillars-including autonomous maintenance and planned maintenance-with low-cost technological solutions like IoT sensors and Excel-based OEE dashboards. The findings emphasize that successful TPM implementation requires collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and policymakers to address budgetary constraints and technical literacy gaps. Community service programs incorporating participatory training and post-training mentorship are identified as key drivers for sustaining TPM practices. This study provides actionable insights for designing adaptive industrial engineering interventions to strengthen SMIs’ competitiveness.
