Abstract

Education is an important thing that every nation tries to achieve development. The more meaningful a nation becomes, the more it continues to have a positive impact on the development of the nation and its country. This research aims to analyze the causes of difficulties in teaching students science in elementary schools. This research is literature review research using the Pubmed database and the Google Scholar search engine. The results obtained were 10 articles that were similar to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research results found 6 themes, namely physiological, psychological, social, facilities and infrastructure, learning procedures, and teachers. The implication for science learning in elementary schools should be to open up opportunities to increase students' scientific curiosity. But the fact is that not all students understand the competencies as expected. The lack of ability to design science is caused by students' difficulties in responding to the learning given by their teachers.

Abstract

In order to achieve the objectives of this study, the research focus is on the description of strategies implemented by principals in an effort to improve teacher performance in the driving school program. This research was conducted in the environment of SMA Negeri 15 Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province. The research methodology applied was a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological orientation. Data were obtained through observation, interview, and document analysis methods. The data analysis process includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that principals practiced various strategies to improve teacher performance, including discipline development and organizing internal training programs. The success of these strategies relies heavily on the commitment of the principal and teachers. As a leader, the principal is responsible for shifting the paradigm of Human Resources in his school to be willing to accept change, ensuring the successful implementation of the driving school program.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) strategy integrated with the local cultural wisdom of making dangke in improving learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of elementary school students in science material. This type of research is experimental research carried out at SDN 122 Pangbuluran in 2023. The subjects of this research are fourth grade elementary school students, who are divided into an experimental group and a control group. The data analysis techniques used are: descriptive data analysis in the form of: mean, data range, class interval, class length, percentage, variance and standard deviation; and inferential statistical data analysis techniques in the form of: normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. The instruments used are multiple choice questions to measure student learning outcomes and essay questions that have been validated and declared reliable as test instruments. The results of data analysis obtained hypothesis testing: tcount learning outcomes of 10.2 > ttable, until H0 rejected, while tcountcritical thinking skills of 9.9 > ttable, until H0 rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) strategy integrated with local cultural wisdom in making dangke in improving learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of elementary school students in science material.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of boarding school managers in developing the morals of students. Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that have an important role in shaping the character and morals of the students. This research was conducted with the aim of understanding the contribution of boarding school managers in developing the morals of students. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The respondents for this research consisted of boarding school managers and a number of students who were interviewed using purposive sampling. The collected data was analyzed thematically to identify the role of boarding school managers in developing the morals of students. The research results show that boarding school managers play a key role in developing the morals of students. They are responsible for creating an educational environment that is conducive and full of moral values. The boarding school management provides continuous guidance and supervision of the students, both in religious and social aspects. They also serve as role models for students in their daily behavior. Apart from that, the boarding school manager has a role as a facilitator in providing comprehensive religious education. They prepare the curriculum and organize activities that support the formation of students' morals. Apart from that, the boarding school management also plays a role in building harmonious relationships between students, both with fellow students and with the surrounding community. This research provides a deeper understanding of the role of boarding school managers in developing the morals of students. It is hoped that the results of this research can be a reference for Islamic boarding school managers in increasing their role in developing the morals of students. Further research can be carried out to expand the scope and involve more variables that influence the moral development of students in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The government has paid great attention to stunting prevention through Presidential Regulation No. 42 of 2013 concerning the National Movement for the Acceleration of Nutrition Improvement, which is now replaced by Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021 concerning the acceleration of stunting reduction, which aims to increase the government's commitment to improving nutrition, especially reducing stunting. The highest stunting rate in East Java is in Bangkalan Regency. The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) stated that the stunting rate in Bangkalan District reached 38.9 percent. In Bangkalan Regency, Madura, in 2015, there were 240 toddlers who were malnourished, which increased by 36 toddlers from 2014 (Bangkalan Regency Health Office, 2015). This research aims to find out the government's strategy in tackling stunting and the work program carried out by the Arosbaya sub-district health center against stunting. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Using the case study method. This research data collection technique is using in-depth interviews, observation, documentation. By using the Purposive sampling type for sample determination which is done by determining the target of the population element that is thought to be most suitable for collecting data. Based on the latest data on Bangkalan Regency in October 2023, it was found that the number of cases of stunting toddlers in Arosbaya District was 38 cases. There is an innovative work program carried out by Puskesmas Arosbaya, namely the Puskesmas Care Staff program and Friday Barokah.

Abstract

Stunting is a failure to grow in children that occurs due to a lack of nutrition that can help children grow. In dealing with this incident, it is necessary to optimize the stunting reduction program. Stunting programs have a crucial aim in overcoming the problem of suboptimal child growth and development. To achieve maximum effectiveness, it is necessary to understand the things that can influence the implementation of the stunting program carried out by the Sampang Health Service. This research aims to analyze the optimization of stunting program implementation with a focus on cross-sector integration, including health, education, infrastructure and community empowerment. Research on optimizing the implementation of the stunting program uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. A qualitative approach was chosen because it is able to provide an in-depth understanding of the complexity of factors that influence the implementation of stunting programs. Through literature reviews, interviews, comprehensive observations, this research identifies the relationship between various factors and the long-term success of stunting programs in Sampang Regency. Cross-sector integration is considered a strategic approach to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of stunting programs. Some of the main findings include: the role of nutrition education in increasing mothers' awareness of the importance of child nutrition, the impact of adequate sanitation on reducing stunting prevalence, the collaboration needed to overcome structural barriers that cut across sectors, and community empowerment in designing and implementing stunting programs . Although coordination challenges and differences in priorities may arise, the long-term benefits of this approach have the potential to be in creating an environment that supports children's optimal growth and preventing future stunting.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a toddler's height or body length is not appropriate when compared to his age. According to WHO, the factors causing stunting are family and household factors, giving breast milk, giving complementary foods to breast milk, and a history of infection. One of the influencing family factors is parents' lack of knowledge about nutrition and health. Another factor that causes stunting is family income. If access to food at the first level is disrupted, especially due to poverty, stunting will arise due to unaffordability in fulfilling daily nutrition. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and family income on the incidence of stunting. The method used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach, the population of this study is mothers who have children under 5 years in Paterongan Village, Galis District, Bangkalan Regency. The sample was 33 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and a reduction in the incidence of stunting, p value 0.000. And there is a relationship between family income and a reduction in the incidence of stunting, p value 0.011.

Abstract

Optimal growth and development in the first 1000 days of life is important for every child. The level of education and parenting practices provided by parents are factors in the occurrence of stunting. Based on the latest data from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in East Java is quite high, reaching 19.2%.Bangkalan Regency is a district/city with a stunting prevalence rate that is still quite high, namely 26.2%. The aim of this research is to find out the relationship and influence of the level of education and parenting practices on the incidence of stunting.The highest prevalence of stunting in Bangkalan Regency is in Galis District with 166 cases. The sampling technique in this research used the Accidental Sampling technique, and the samples used were 33 samples. The analysis used in this research is bivariate analysis, multivariate analysis and the F test. This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection methods through questionnaires.The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained from the results of questionnaires that have been distributed, while secondary data is obtained from various kinds of literature and data in the relevant departments. The results of this research are: 1)The results of the chi-square test show that there is a relationship between education level and the incidence of stunting. 2) The results of the chi-square test also show that there is relationship between parenting practices and the incidence of stunting. 3) The results of multivariate analysis and the F test also show that the level of education and parenting practices of children simultaneously influence the incidence of stunting.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep pada kelas kontrol; 2) menginformasikan langkah-langkah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check; 3) mendeskripsikan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep pada kelas eksperimen; 4) menguji pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas eksperimen; 5) mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimensemu dan menggunakan desain non equivalent control group design. Lokasi penelitian di SD Negeri 06 Pontianak Timur Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 56 orang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan berupa observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: 1) pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep pada kelas kontrol yaitu nilai pre-test 25,9 dan nilai post-test 63,6; 2) bekerja secara berpasangan, berbagi peran antara pelatih dan partner, pelatih memberi soal, sedangkan partner menjawab, mengecek jawaban, bertukar peran, penyimpulan, evaluasi, dan penutup 3) pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep pada kelas yaitu nilai pre-test 23,64 dan nilai post-test 75,42; 4) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check; 5) hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh yaitu dengan gain sebesar -0,167 dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe pair check.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang efektifkah media video pembelajaran untuk mengenal mengenal gerhana bagi anak tunadaksa. Selain itu, media video pembelajaran ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan anak mengenal gerhana namun penggunaan media video pembelajaran yang tepat dan bervariasi dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan dapat mengurangi sikap pasif siswa. Video adalah media yang dapat dilihat oleh mata dan dapat didengar oleh telinga serta merupakan jenis media audio visual.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Variable penelitian ini meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal gerhana bagi anak tunadaksa. Teknik dalam pengumpulan data berupa tes dan alat pengumpulan data berupa instrument ceklis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal gerhana anak tunadaksa meningkatt setelah menggunakan media video pembelajaran. Dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan mengenal gerhana dari kondisi baseline ke kondisi intervensi setelah diberikan intervensi
