Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan become a CrossRef Member since the year 2019. Therefore, all articles published will have a unique DOI number. Beginning from Vol. 1 No. 1 (2017), all articles will be published in the English version and Indonesia version. The publication frequency is twice a year in March and October. Abstract

This research is entitled Design Aesthetics in the Effectiveness of Visual Communication (Analysis of Event Poster Finder #3 DKV UPI). It is motivated by the need for visual communication in the DKV UPI Dies Natalis event to understand the role of design elements and principles in a poster as a promotional media. Visual communication is a key element in creating effective posters and illustrations, especially when promoting events. This article analyzes the effectiveness of visual communication in the promotional poster design for the 3rd Dies Natalis event "FINDER 3" Visual Communication Design (DKV) learning program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). This study examines how design elements such as typography, color, composition, and imagery are used to communicate messages effectively to target audiences. This study uses a qualitative approach with an analysis of design aesthetics in the form of design elements and design principles to understand how meaning is conveyed through visual elements. The study shows that the use of contrasting colors, typography, and balanced composition play an important role in attracting attention and making messages easier to understand. Illustrations that match the theme of the event are also important elements in adding to the appeal of posters. This article is expected to contribute to more effective and informative visual communication design practices in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trend of students' critical thinking skills in national research proposals received by the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM) in Indonesia over the past four years. Critical thinking is an essential ability in 21st-century education, which includes interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and inferring information by students to produce solutions to real problems. Data were taken from research proposals received and approved by DRTPM from 2021 to 2024. The analysis method includes a descriptive quantitative assessment of the number of proposals that make students' critical thinking skills the central theme of education research. The study results show a significant improvement trend in the theme of students' critical thinking skills in the proposals submitted by researchers over the past four years, especially in implementing various efforts to improve students' critical thinking skills. These findings are expected to provide input for DRTPM to develop research policies and training programs to continue improving the quality of research in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using learning videos in improving student skills in the course of Land Measurement Science 1. Learning videos are used as interactive media to help students understand the basic concepts of land measurement, especially in the application of measurement techniques in the field. The research method used is quantitative research with an experimental approach. The research subjects were students of the Building Civil Engineering Study Program, Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University. Information collection was carried out through pre-test and post-test followed by the experimental group using learning videos, as well as the control group using conventional learning methods (through Jobsheet guide). The results showed that students who used the learning video showed a significant increase in skills compared to the control group. Thus, the learning video proved to be effective in improving students' concept understanding and practical skills in the Land Measurement Science 1 course.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran musyrifah terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu santri, 2) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran guru fiqih terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu santri 3) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran musyrifah dan guru fiqih terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian korelasional pendekatan kuantitatif. Dan metode pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan angket atau kuesioner. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik dengan bantuan aplikasi spss versi 27, setelah data terkumpul langkah selanjutnya adalah menganalisis data dengan beberapa tahap yaitu tahap analisis pendahuluan, tahap analisis deskriptif, tahap analisis tahap lanjutan, uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis.Untuk menguji keabsahan data dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : 1). Tidak ada pengaruh peran musyrifah terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu santri karena hasil uji t -0,360 < t tabel 2,026 . 2). Terdapat pengaruh peran guru fiqih terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu dimana hasil uji t 6,944 > t tabel 2,026. 3) Terdapat pengaruh peran musyrifah dan guru fiqih terhadap kedisiplinan sholat fardhu santri dimana hasil uji f 34,884 > f tabel 3,251.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) 41 Sungai Ambawang. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian melibatkan dua guru, satu kepala sekolah, dan dua puluh siswa kelas IV dan V sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), yang dirancang untuk mendapatkan perspektif komprehensif mengenai penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam praktik pembelajaran. Wawancara semi-terstruktur digunakan untuk menggali pandangan guru dan kepala sekolah, sementara observasi kelas dilakukan untuk menganalisis interaksi dan metode pengajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran di SDN 41 Sungai Ambawang memberikan dampak positif terhadap karakter siswa dan motivasi belajar. Meskipun demikian, tantangan dalam implementasinya, seperti dukungan orang tua dan pemahaman guru, masih perlu diperhatikan. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendidikan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademis, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter melalui nilai-nilai yang relevan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik, dan validitas penelitian dijamin melalui triangulasi data serta member-checking untuk memastikan akurasi temuan. Melalui metode ini, diharapkan penelitian dapat memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa di SDN 41 Sungai Ambawang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the partnership pattern in financing education at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Islam, Mataram City, in the period 2023-2024. Using a qualitative approach, this research includes data collection techniques, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification to gain an in-depth understanding of the financing strategies applied. The results showed that Pondok Pesantren Nurul Islam has successfully developed a multisector partnership model to support the sustainability of education financing. Various funding source diversification strategies are implemented to reduce dependence on a single funding source. Among other things, the pesantren raises donations through a crowdfunding platform that allows broad community participation. In addition, cooperation with local and national companies contributes through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes, which support education funding while improving the quality of pesantren facilities and infrastructure. The scholarship programme is one of the key strategies in supporting access to education for underprivileged students, with funding from non-governmental institutions as well as the government. This partnership model not only adds to the sustainability of funding, but also strengthens the pesantren's relationship with various sectors, including government, private, and community. With these various partnership schemes, Pondok Pesantren Nurul Islam demonstrates its adaptability to economic challenges in education financing. A deeper analysis reveals that these multi-sector partnerships play an important role in strengthening the financial stability of the pesantren, as well as improving the quality of education that can be offered to santri. Through innovations in financing patterns and partnerships, Pondok Pesantren Nurul Islam has succeeded in creating a more independent and sustainable financing ecosystem, making it a model for other pesantren in developing strategic partnerships for education.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of an elaboration-based storytelling approach in improving critical literacy skills among elementary students at SDN 13 Curio. The intervention involved storytelling sessions that used culturally relevant folklore, combined with elaborative questioning techniques to foster deeper understanding. The sample consisted of 30 students, with pretest and post-test measures used to evaluate changes in literacy skills, supported by qualitative observations of student engagement.The findings revealed a significant improvement in post-test scores compared to pretest results, indicating the success of the storytelling-based intervention. A paired sample t-test confirmed that the observed gains were statistically significant (t = 9.45, p < 0.001). Additionally, a strong positive correlation (r = 0.840, p < 0.01) was found between participation levels and literacy skill improvement, emphasizing the importance of active engagement in the learning process. Qualitative observations also showed high levels of participation, with students responding enthusiastically to culturally relevant materials.In conclusion, the elaboration-based storytelling model effectively enhanced critical literacy by fostering engagement and a deeper understanding of narrative content. This approach contributes valuable insights into educational methods for developing critical thinking skills in elementary students. Future research should explore the long-term impact of this intervention and its applicability across diverse educational settings to establish broader generalizability and sustainability.

Abstract

Child-friendly education is education that provides a sense of security and comfort for children. The aim of this research is to analyze and describe state policies towards children's education in Indonesia, problems of children in Indonesia in education, and opportunities for children to grow and develop in modern society. This research approach uses a library study approach, in this research there is no research location because all data is taken through books and scientific journals. with documentation data collection techniques and data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data and verification. The results of this research found that state policy towards children's education in Indonesia was prepared through PPPA policy Number 8 of 2014 which regulates child-friendly education that can provide safe and comfortable education for students at school. The problems with education in Indonesia are limited technological knowledge, limited facilities and infrastructure, and limited experience. In today's modern era, many children are making the wrong use of technological developments, thus having several negative effects on children's physical and physical health

Abstract

The introduction and development of Barru specialty food as a culinary tourism potential is a strategic step in increasing tourist attraction in this area. Barru, located on the west coast of South Sulawesi, has a culinary richness rooted in Bugis cultural traditions, with various typical dishes such as Pallu Basa, Coto Barru, and Barobbo. These foods have rich flavors and spices, reflecting the rich culture and history of the Barru people. Barru's culinary tourism potential needs to be developed as a superior tourist attraction that can increase tourist visits and support the local economy. This article aims to explore Barru's culinary potential in the context of tourism development, by emphasizing the importance of promoting, managing and improving culinary facilities that can support the tourist experience. The development of culinary tourism in Barru does not only depend on the quality of food, but also on the sustainability of traditions and the involvement of local communities in the culinary production and presentation process. Therefore, this article offers recommendations regarding organizing culinary festivals, using social media as a promotional tool, and improving culinary tourism infrastructure to attract tourists. With an integrated approach, Barru culinary tourism is expected to become one of the main pillars in regional tourism development, as well as providing a positive impact on the local economy and cultural preservation.
