Abstract

Innovation in Islamic Religious Education learning is very important to increase student interest and engagement. Conventional methods are often less able to attract attention, making PAI material seem less relevant. Through innovative approaches such as technology integration, educational games, and ice breakers, PAI learning becomes more interactive and fun, so that students are more motivated and understand the material in depth. This study aims to determine the level of understanding of Islamic Religious Education teachers regarding Islamic religious education learning innovations through the integration of games and ice breakers. This type of research is a type of survey research with a quantitative approach. The population and sample of this study use a random sampling technique that will be given to the subjects using a google form. The results of the survey which was tested with several questions via google form and interviews via zoom meet were given to 50 teachers, as many as 12% of teachers who already understood how to innovate learning through games and ice breakers, but as many as 88% of teachers who still had many difficulties with learning innovations through games and ice breakers. So that the existence of this article can help teachers to be able to understand how to make Islamic religious education learning innovations through the integration of games and ice breakers

Abstract

Improving Descriptive Text Writing Skills Using Creative and Productive Models Through Image Media for Grade VII Students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa in learning to write descriptive texts using creative and productive models through image media in the 2022-2023 academic year. Data collection was carried out using text and non-test techniques, in the form of observation, documentation, and products. Data analysis techniques consist of quantitative and qualitative data. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were 30 students in grade VII consisting of 13 male students and 17 female students. In this study, two cycles were carried out, each cycle consisting of cycle I meeting 1, and cycle II with 1 meeting. This study only focuses on one class. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is known that after the creative and productive model through image media was applied, students' descriptive text writing skills increased. This can be seen from the increase in the completion of student learning outcomes in cycle I of 44.83 and cycle II of 86.50, the difference between cycle I and cycle II of 41.67%. experienced an increase. From the data analysis, it can be understood that the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa in learning to write descriptive texts using creative and productive models through image media can improve students' writing skills in the Indonesian Language subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether or not game- based pedagogy was effective in increasing students’ interest, active participation, enthusiasm and sympathy of the elementary school in learning English at SD Pemulung Rappokalling assumed that the learning media and methods provided by the teacher were still less attractive so students were not interested, unenthusiastic and unindependent in finishing the assignments. This study took one of the inhibiting factors of learning carried out in the class to increase interest in learning. The subjects of this study were 20 students of fifth grade students of SD Pemulung Rappokalling. The type of this research used Kemmis and Taggart models carried out 2 cycles, each of consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection stages in each cycle. The data in this study was obtained from the observation checklist written by the collaborator and observer. Methods of collecting data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. This research used a research methodology known as the classroom action research approach, data was analyzed since the learning action was implemented and developed during the learning process to conclude whether the use of the game -based pedagoy was effective in increasing students' interest in learning English. The results of this study indicated that learning English by applying the game -based pedagoy could improve the mastery of vocabulary and interest of students, this could be proven in the improvement of the percentage of the pre -cycle was obtained at 49.25%, cycle I was 61.38% and the second cycle reached 76%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teaching assistance programs in improving the learning motivation of twelfth-grade students in English Literature at SMAN 9 Toraja Utara. The program, part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, involves university students assisting teaching activities in schools to support literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation, and administrative tasks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over four months. The findings reveal that the teaching assistance program significantly enhances students' interest and enthusiasm in learning. The use of creative methods, such as learning through games and providing rewards, has proven effective in fostering a positive classroom environment and improving academic engagement. Furthermore, the program allows university students to develop essential skills, including leadership, collaboration, and empathy, while contributing to the improvement of teaching quality in schools. This research highlights the importance of innovative educational strategies to support student motivation and academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training on teacher performance at special schools (SLB) in Jambi Province. To determine the influence of competence on teacher performance at special schools (SLB) in Jambi Province. To determine the Influence of Work Discipline on Teacher Performance at Special Schools (SLB) in Jambi Province. This research method is included in survey research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The source of research data is primary data, namely questionnaires and secondary data, namely related articles. The results of this study indicate that the Training influential positive and significant to performance of State Special Needs School teachers in the East Jambi Province with The value obtained from t statistics is 1.981 > 1.96 and the P Value is is 0.048 more small from 0.05. Then Competence influential positive and significant to performance of State Special Needs School teachers in the East Jambi Province with The value obtained for t statistics is 2.116 > 1.96 and the P Value is is 0.035 more small from 0.05. Discipline Work influential positive and significant to Performance of State Special School Teachers in East Jambi Province with The value obtained is t statistics 5.020 > 1.96 and the P Value is is 0.000 more small from 0.05.

Abstract

English proficiency is a crucial skill in the era of globalization, yet high school students often face challenges in actively practicing the language. This study examines the implementation and effectiveness of the "One Day in English" program at SMAN 1 Sidrap. The program adopts an immersive learning approach where students are required to use English throughout the day in various interactive activities. These activities include group discussions, presentations, daily conversations, and games aimed at enhancing both oral and written communication skills.Using observational methods and pre-and post-program assessments, the study evaluates improvements in students' English language abilities. The findings reveal significant progress in speaking fluency, vocabulary comprehension, and overall confidence in using English. Moreover, the interactive nature of the program fostered active student participation and created a supportive learning environment.This research highlights the potential of immersive learning strategies in addressing barriers to effective English learning. It offers a practical framework for schools to adopt similar programs to enrich language learning experiences and build students’ confidence in real-world communication.

Abstract

Vocabulary is a fundamental aspect of language proficiency, serving as a critical foundation for communication, comprehension, and academic success. However, many vocational high school students face challenges in mastering English vocabulary due to teaching methods that often overlook individual differences in learning needs and abilities. This study explores the implementation of the "Learning Vocabulary" program, designed as part of a teaching assistance initiative at SMKN 3 Parepare, to improve students' vocabulary mastery through personalized and game-based learning methods.The program integrates weekly vocabulary activities involving nouns, adverbs, verbs, and adjectives, utilizing interactive games such as Word Guessing Game, Memory Match, Scrabble, and Role-Playing. These methods aim to foster student motivation and active engagement while addressing individual needs. Data were collected through vocabulary tests, observations, and interviews, and analyzed descriptively.The results reveal significant improvements in students' vocabulary mastery and motivation, highlighting the effectiveness of games-based learning in creating a fun and interactive learning environment. Challenges, including initial resistance to new methods, were addressed through consistent implementation and student adaptation. This study concludes that the "Learning Vocabulary" program, with its focus on individualized and engaging activities, is an effective model for enhancing vocabulary learning in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of teaching assistance as an embodiment of the Independent Learning - Independent Campus (MBKM) program, focusing on its effectiveness for both educators and students at the high school level. Conducted at SMA Kristen Rantepao, the research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing digital questionnaires via Google Forms to gather data. The findings center on three key aspects of student activities: (a) interaction and socialization levels, (b) collaboration with teachers, and (c) emotional connections with students to boost motivation and learning enthusiasm. The results demonstrate a significant positive impact, with educators acknowledging the program's role in easing their teaching burdens and inspiring students with innovative and creative teaching methods. This program has been identified as effective in enhancing student learning engagement and fostering collaboration among all stakeholders. To optimize the outcomes, it is recommended to provide comprehensive training for participating students.

Abstract

Humans are influenced by digitalization in all aspects of their lives; changes in thinking and way of life are inevitable. The emergence of various social media platforms with potentially destructive values ​​is one of the most concerning issues. Thus, philosophy can offer an opportunity for the millennial generation to be an example for civilized people in the struggle against unpleasant irrationality. In this study, the researcher used the Library Research method in his research. By having philosophical thinking, millennials will have better filters in sorting and utilizing digital technology today.

Abstract

This study examines the performance of the headmaster in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Siak (MTsN 1 Siak), with a focus on leadership strategies and their impact on educational outcomes. The research emphasizes the headmaster's role in enhancing both religious and general education, empowering teachers, and providing necessary resources to improve learning experiences. Data was collected through interviews with the headmaster, teachers, and administrative staff, along with direct observations of the school's activities. The findings highlight the headmaster's efforts to implement strategic programs, such as professional development for teachers, tutoring for students, and improving school infrastructure. Despite facing challenges like limited facilities and competition from other schools, the headmaster's leadership has positively impacted student learning outcomes, teacher motivation, and the school's reputation. The study concludes that the headmaster's transformational leadership and commitment to education quality have been pivotal in driving improvements at MTsN 1 Siak.
