Abstract

Law Number 16 of 2019 represents a significant amendment to Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, particularly regarding the minimum age for marriage. This regulatory change raises the minimum age for marriage for women from 16 to 19, bringing it on par with the minimum age for marriage for men. This age adjustment not only has legal implications but also represents a strategic step in preventing child marriage and protecting children's rights. One challenge in implementing this law is the limited public understanding of the purpose and impact of this regulatory change. Therefore, outreach is crucial to ensure that this regulation is truly understood, accepted, and complied with by the public. The outreach activities used a participatory approach involving various elements of society, including religious leaders, traditional leaders, village officials, teachers, and youth groups. This approach aims to create a space for dialogue and shared understanding so that legal messages can be more easily accepted. The results of the outreach indicate an increase in public legal awareness, particularly regarding the importance of delaying marriage until the specified minimum age is reached. Furthermore, outreach also fostered community support for enforcing the new regulations, ultimately contributing to strengthening child protection from the health, educational, and social risks often associated with early marriage. This study recommends the need for ongoing outreach with strategies that adapt to local cultural contexts, and are supported by regional government policies that align with national regulations. Synergy between the government, educational institutions, community organizations, and families is a key factor in ensuring the effective implementation of Law Number 16 of 2019 at the community level. Thus, changing the minimum age for marriage can truly have a positive impact on protecting the younger generation and achieving sustainable development goals.

Abstract

Many simple houses in Indonesia, particularly in Menes District and its surroundings, Pandeglang Regency, are built without considering earthquake resistance principles. This is a serious problem considering that the region is prone to disasters, making the vulnerability of the buildings potentially pose a significant risk to the safety of occupants. One aspect that is often overlooked is the superstructure construction, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall stability of the building. Weaknesses in this section can cause severe damage and even collapse during an earthquake. This situation is exacerbated by the lack of knowledge and skills of builders regarding earthquake-resistant housing concepts and a lack of access to standard technical guidelines. To address this issue, this community service program was designed to improve the understanding and skills of builders in building earthquake-resistant simple house superstructures. The activities were carried out through a combination of theoretical and practical training covering the basic principles of earthquake resistance, appropriate material selection, and construction techniques that comply with building safety standards. This training is a collaboration between Mercu Buana University and PT. Tunas Engineering, ensuring that the approach provided is more applicable and relevant to real-world needs. The targeted program outputs include a significant increase in the level of understanding of the craftsmen as measured through pre- and post-training evaluations, the development of a simple training module as a work guide, and the formation of a community of craftsmen who care about earthquake-resistant construction.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively describe the management of center-based learning in stimulating the social-emotional development of early childhood at the Nastiti Siwi Ungaran Timur Daycare Center (TPA). The background of the study is rooted in the pivotal role of the center learning model in fostering children’s social skills, emotional regulation, and ability to engage in collaborative play, as well as the challenges in its implementation that often fail to fully address developmental needs. A qualitative approach was employed using a case study method, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the rotating center model, which has been widely applied, does not adequately support thematic consistency or ensure the continuity of children’s social-emotional growth. Teachers tend to focus primarily on achieving activity targets rather than promoting competencies related to emotional awareness, regulation, and social interaction. As a result, children’s engagement in play often emphasizes task completion rather than meaningful experiences that nurture self-regulation and empathy. To address these challenges, an intervention was carried out in the form of collaborative mentoring. This intervention emphasized three key aspects: (1) formulating explicit social-emotional objectives in lesson planning, (2) designing the learning process flow systematically before, during, and after play activities, and (3) optimizing the environment as a medium of stimulus to encourage responsive interactions. The results demonstrate that responsive center-based learning significantly improves the quality of children’s social interactions, enhances their emotional regulation abilities, and increases their active participation in play. The study concludes that effective management of center-based learning requires not only structured planning but also adaptive practices that respond to children’s emotional and social developmental needs. It is recommended that teachers’ capacity be strengthened through reflective training and ongoing practice mentoring to ensure sustainability, consistency, and the holistic development of early childhood in daycare settings

Abstract

The development of Solo Valley tourism in Prangi Village, Padangan District, Bojonegoro Regency, has made a significant contribution to the improvement of the local economy, social, and environment. Through the 2025 Bojonegoro University Group 19 KKN program, a series of activities will be carried out such as tourism business management training, digital marketing assistance, the formation of youth business groups, and collaboration with BUMDes. One of the strategic steps taken is the socialization of the Geopark concept, which not only highlights the geology, history, and cultural potential of the Solo Valley, but also prioritizes educational and conservation aspects in tourism development. Data from the results of the activity showed an increase in the number of tourism business actors by up to 200%, an increase in the average income of residents by 50%, and community participation in tourism management reached 82%. In addition, there is an improvement in environmental quality, especially through an increase in the water quality index. Geopark socialization also encourages the diversification of tourism products, opens up new job opportunities, and increases public awareness of the preservation of natural resources and local culture. The success of this program is inseparable from the active involvement of the community, academic assistance, and village institutional support. Efforts to integrate community empowerment, digital technology, and the Geopark concept open up new innovation spaces in managing tourism based on local potential. The challenges faced, such as limited infrastructure, human resource capacity, and financing sustainability, require further attention so that the benefits obtained can continue to develop optimally.

Abstract

Abar Village is the only traditional pottery-producing village in Sentani that still survives today. This craft not only has economic value but also embodies the historical, social, and cultural values of the Sentani indigenous people. Amidst technological developments and the onslaught of modern products, Abar pottery continues to be produced using traditional methods passed down through generations, utilizing natural raw materials available around Lake Sentani. This uniqueness makes Abar pottery a cultural heritage worthy of preservation. However, the craftsmen face serious challenges, particularly in the areas of promotion and marketing, which are still very limited. Limited access to information, marketing networks, and the use of digital media are factors that hinder the development of Abar pottery businesses in a wider market. This community service program is designed to empower traditional pottery artisans in Abar Village, Jayapura Regency, with a focus on improving marketing knowledge and skills. Training activities include an introduction to modern marketing strategies, the use of social media for product promotion, product photography techniques, and the development of marketing narratives that highlight the cultural value and uniqueness of Abar pottery. The methods used included classical training, group discussions, and direct mentoring in creating promotional content. Initial results indicate an increase in artisans' understanding of marketing strategies and practical skills in utilizing digital platforms. Some artisans have begun implementing photography techniques and creating social media accounts to market their products. This program is expected to encourage the development of traditional pottery businesses, improve the welfare of the Abar Village community, and preserve its social and cultural values. The program's success could serve as a model for empowering a creative economy based on local wisdom in other regions.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to strengthen the marketing capabilities of MSMEs in Kampung Sukan Tengah, Berau, by integrating product storytelling techniques and WhatsApp Business-based digital marketing strategies. The program employed a participatory approach, namely Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and Participatory Action Research (PAR), ensuring active participation from the planning stage through evaluation. The program consisted of a one-day intensive workshop with 25 MSMEs, followed by three weeks of online mentoring to ensure consistent application of the acquired skills. Data collection included pre- and post-tests, observation sheets during the training, and a follow-up survey after the program concluded. The results were significant: 80% of participants successfully compiled product catalogs, created automatic replies, and managed their business profiles on WhatsApp Business. Furthermore, 90% of respondents reported increased confidence in communicating their product value propositions, while 60% reported increased sales within three to four weeks of the mentoring session. The discussion connects these achievements to recent literature on MSME digitalization, narrative-based promotions, and mobile-first marketing trends. The results show that the use of simple, accessible, and locally relevant tools, when combined with engaging storytelling strategies, can accelerate digital adoption in rural areas. However, the program's sustainability remains dependent on digital infrastructure support, consistent mentoring, and the involvement of various parties. The program emphasizes the importance of synergy between universities, local governments, and MSME communities to replicate similar practices on a broader scale. Practical recommendations are also provided, including strengthening internet networks, developing applicable training modules, and building a collaborative ecosystem for MSMEs to compete in the digital marketplace.

Abstract

Digital marketing outreach and mentoring in an effort to empower the community, particularly banana chip MSMEs, was carried out as a form of community service to create better economic turnover in Kalicaah Village. This activity began with the low capacity of MSMEs in utilizing digital technology as a medium for product promotion and distribution. Therefore, students were present as facilitators and mentors to improve digital literacy among the community, especially housewives and business owners in the area. The main focus of the activity was on digital-based marketing aspects, where the community was encouraged to rise up, create works that have sales value, and develop sustainable businesses based on local potential. The activity was carried out in two stages: the outreach stage and the mentoring stage. In the outreach stage, 20 participants attended a presentation on the importance of digital marketing for small business owners, including an introduction to online platforms such as marketplaces, social media, and Google Maps. This stage used a direct face-to-face method with a personal approach, so that participants could understand the concept more contextually. Next, in the mentoring stage, students conducted direct practice with snack food entrepreneurs. The assistance includes creating logo designs for packaging as a form of product branding, creating accounts on marketplaces (such as Tokopedia or Shopee), and registering business locations on Google Maps for wider consumer access. It is hoped that through this activity, MSMEs in Kalicaah Village will be able to increase their business competitiveness and expand their market through optimal use of digital technology. Furthermore, this activity also encourages the creation of sustainable, community-based economic independence through the use of digital technology.

Abstract

Digital transformation through cashless payment systems has become a crucial need for MSMEs to improve business efficiency and competitiveness. This community service program aims to implement and effectively use the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) at Warung K1ng Dimsum in Karangmekar Village, Karangsembung District, Cirebon Regency. The methods used were interviews with business owners and questionnaires distributed to 56 customer respondents. The results of the activity showed that the implementation of QRIS was very well received and had a positive impact in the form of a 17% increase in the number of transactions within one week of implementation. In addition, QRIS helps in more orderly financial records, speeds up the transaction process, and increases customer convenience. These findings indicate that appropriate education and mentoring can encourage MSMEs to digitally transform and strengthen their position in the modern economic ecosystem. The successful implementation of QRIS at Warung K1ng Dimsum also shows that implementing digital technology does not always require large investments, but requires commitment and readiness from business owners to change. In addition to simplifying transactions, this digital payment system opens up opportunities for MSMEs to connect with other formal financial services, such as access to digital capital and integration with bold sales platforms. Therefore, collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and educational institutions is crucial in providing continuing education and technical support so that the digital transformation of MSMEs can proceed equitably and sustainably. The implementation of QRIS is also the first step in creating a more transparent and accountable business ecosystem for MSMEs. Therefore, digitalization through QRIS not only impacts operational aspects but also opens up opportunities for increasing long-term competitiveness.

Abstract

Guluk-guluk District is located on Madura Island, Sumenep Regency, East Java Province, and is known as the location of the long-established Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School. This district has a total rice field area of approximately 1,141 hectares, and the majority of its population is engaged in farming. During the dry season, farmers in Guluk-guluk grow tobacco, which is an important trade commodity with high economic value for the local community. However, tobacco farmer groups in Guluk-guluk District face several serious challenges during the dry season. Lack of rainfall causes the soil in tobacco fields to become very hard, making it difficult for farmers to plant tobacco seeds efficiently. Currently, farmers are forced to use traditional tools such as crowbars to dig holes in the hard soil. This process is time-consuming and requires significant labor, reducing production efficiency and increasing farmers' workload. This situation makes it increasingly difficult for farmers to increase their agricultural yields. Therefore, through the Community Service program, the community service team aims to introduce simple technology in the form of soil drilling tools. This tool is designed to simplify the process of planting tobacco seeds in hard, dry soil and increase farmer efficiency. By using this efficient soil drill, it is hoped that the productivity of tobacco farmers in Guluk-guluk will increase. This tool not only speeds up the planting process but also reduces labor requirements, allowing farmers to focus more on other aspects of their farming. This program is expected to have a positive impact on improving farmer welfare and optimizing agricultural yields in Guluk-guluk District. Furthermore, the implementation of this technology is also expected to provide training and skills development for farmers in Guluk-guluk.

Abstract

Human trafficking, or the trafficking of human beings, especially women and children for commercial sexual exploitation, is a serious problem with widespread impacts, particularly on women and children as vulnerable groups. Efforts to prevent and address these cases require an effective legal framework as a foundation for protecting human rights and guaranteeing justice. This community service activity aims to educate and educate the community in Meruyung Village, Depok City, about the role of law in preventing and addressing human trafficking. The methods used include outreach, interactive discussions, and case study simulations to increase community awareness and ability to recognize potential human trafficking and prevent it. The expected outcome of this activity is an increased public understanding of the national legal framework, such as Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Human Trafficking, and the role of law enforcement officers in protecting victims and prosecuting perpetrators. In addition, this activity aims to encourage active community participation in preventing human trafficking through strengthening social networks and reporting cases. Thus, the Meruyung Village community is expected to become more responsive to the issue of human trafficking and contribute to creating a safe environment free from commercial sexual exploitation. In addition to legal and educational approaches, collaboration between various parties is also key to eradicating human trafficking. Local governments, civil society organizations, educational institutions, and law enforcement officials need to work together to build an integrated protection system. This synergy can be realized through training for community cadres, establishing complaint posts at the sub-district level, and involving community and religious leaders as agents of change. With a comprehensive, community-based approach, human trafficking prevention efforts are not merely reactive but also proactive in creating social resilience that can prevent exploitation from its early stages.
