Abstract

Planning and managing good and efficient land use are very important because they can indirectly support soil fertility and maintain stable land productivity. The research objectives were to: 1) find out how much rice production was in Andoolo Barat District in 2015-2019; and 2) know the level of productivity of paddy fields in Andoolo Barat District in 2015-2019. This study uses Mixed Methods in analyzing rice production. The results showed that rice production in 2015-2019 increased by 73.08 tons. While the productivity of paddy fields, when viewed from the carrying capacity of agricultural land, also experienced a surplus with a value of α > 1. This shows that the population's demand for rice is classified as optimal and fulfilled.

Abstract

Muara Gembong coastal topography is classified as a sloping topography, which allows water from the Java Sea to more easily enter the mainland when sea level rises. As a result of the tidal flood, it is very important to know the level of community knowledge about preparedness attitudes so that if there is a tidal flood, the community is more ready to save themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the coastal community's tidal flood preparedness in the subdistrict of Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The approach used is cross sectional, which is measuring data only at one time, but that does not mean that the measurements are only carried out on the same day or time, but that the variables are measured only once, so there is no follow-up on the variables studied. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling with a total sample of 121 respondents. There are 48 respondents who have a good level of knowledge have a good level of preparedness, while 20 respondents with a low level of knowledge have a low level of preparedness. Knowledge is the main factor of tidal disaster preparedness. The results of the relationship between knowledge and preparedness for tidal floods have a value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05) so that there is a relationship between knowledge and preparedness for tidal floods, besides that it can be said that if the level of knowledge is good, the level of disaster preparedness is also good.

Abstract

The Oba watershed is one of the watershed located in the City of Tidore Islands where in the middle-downstream it has a shallow river so that when it rains continuously with high intensity it will cause flooding. In addition, it has a complex topography from flat to hilly where most of the area has steep slopes (25-45%) so the potential for erosion is very large. The aims of the research are: 1) to analyze the amount of erosion in the middle-downstream part of the Oba watershed; and 2) identify soil conservation management efforts in the mid-downstream part of the Oba watershed. Prediction of soil erosion using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. The results showed that: 1) the level of danger of soil erosion that occurred included: a) very light erosion (12.45 tons/ha/year) occurring on a slope of 8-15% covering an area of 562.1 ha (2.1%); b) mild erosion (0.40–27.43 tons/ha/year) occurring on slopes of 0-8% and slopes >45% covering an area of 1.575 (37.9%); c) Moderate erosion (149.93 – 153.32 tons/ha/year) occurs on slopes of 8-15% and slopes of 15-25% covering an area of 2,489.8 (60%) of the total area of the middle-downstream part of the Oba watershed; and 2) soil conservation management efforts include alternating corn + cassava and peanuts at SPL-18 with a slope of 15-25% and at SPL-25 with a slope of 25-45%, then without alternatives on a slope of 0-8%. , 8-15% and >45%.

The aims of this study are: 1) to describe student learning activities by applying the Problem Based Learning model; 2) to describe teacher teaching activities by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model; and 3) to find out the increase in geography learning outcomes for class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 2 Pasarwajo by applying the PBL model to the material on the Dynamics of the Planet Earth as a Space for Life. This research is a class action research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class X IPS 2. Learning outcomes were measured using observation sheets and learning achievement tests. The results showed that: 1) in cycle I, the average score obtained from student activity was 2.5 in the sufficient category and increased to 3.4 in the good category in cycle II; 2) in cycle I the average score obtained from the teacher's teaching activities was 2.6 in the sufficient category and increased to 3.5 in the good category in cycle II; 3) student learning outcomes increased by 18% after applying the problem based learning model from cycle I student learning outcomes increased by 64% to increase by 82% in cycle II.
