Abstract

Limited space, land, and school facilities and infrastructure are factors that contribute to the low level of physical fitness of students. This condition results in minimal physical activity, both in play activities and physical education learning, which ultimately can affect students' physical fitness and learning quality. This study aims to analyze the level of physical fitness of students at Satap Pulau Lantang Peo State Junior High School, Takalar Regency. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with an ex post facto design. The research subjects were 31 students who served as both the population and the sample. Data collection was carried out through physical fitness tests and measurements using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) published by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive percentage analysis techniques. The results showed that 2 students (6.5%) were in the good physical fitness category, 8 (25.8%) were in the moderate category, 19 (61.3%) were in the poor category, and 2 (6.5%) were in the very poor category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the level of physical fitness of students at Satap Pulau Lantang Peo State Junior High School is in the poor category. The results of this study are expected to be input for the Department of Education and related stakeholders in formulating policies and strategies to improve the quality of physical education learning in schools

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching performed after High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on the recovery heart rate of cricket athletes at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, Universitas Negeri Makassar. The research applied an experimental approach using a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pretest-posttest model. A total of 20 cricket athletes were selected through total sampling and assigned into experimental and control groups using the ordinal pairing technique. Recovery heart rate measurement after HIIT endurance training was utilized as the research instrument. Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The findings revealed that the application of PNF stretching following HIIT significantly reduced recovery heart rate, as indicated by a t-value higher than the critical t-table value and a significance level below 0.05. Therefore, PNF stretching can be considered an effective recovery strategy after high-intensity endurance training in cricket athletes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pembelajaran tarian Cakalele berbasis etnopedagogi dalam mengembangkan keterampilan gerak dasar dan identitas budaya siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Maluku. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol tidak setara. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Ambon dengan 30 siswa kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis tarian Cakalele dan 30 siswa kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan pendidikan jasmani konvensional. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Test of Gross Motor Development-3 (TGMD-3) untuk penilaian keterampilan motorik dan kuesioner identitas budaya. Analisis data menggunakan independent samples t-test dan ANCOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok, dengan kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan superior pada keterampilan lokomotor (p < 0,001, effect size = 1,24) dan keterampilan kontrol objek (p < 0,001, effect size = 1,18). Skor identitas budaya juga meningkat signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen (p < 0,001). Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa tarian Cakalele berbasis etnopedagogi efektif mengembangkan keterampilan gerak dasar sekaligus memperkuat identitas budaya siswa, menawarkan pendekatan inovatif dalam pendidikan jasmani yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal

Abstract

The increasing practice of photographing individuals engaged in community sports activities in public spaces has raised legal concerns in the context of privacy and personal data protection. Community sports, such as running or exercising in public open spaces, are non-commercial activities aimed at health, fitness, and social participation. Nevertheless, photographs taken without the consent of the individuals depicted and later processed or commercialized through digital platforms create potential legal violations. This study examines the legality of such practices from the perspective of Indonesian sports law and related legal frameworks. Using a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, this research analyzes Law Number 11 of 2022 on Sports, Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, and the Copyright Law. The study finds that participation in community sports within public spaces does not constitute implied consent to the capture, processing, or commercial use of personal images. Facial images are classified as personal data and require explicit consent. Furthermore, copyright protection of photographs does not override the personality rights of the individuals portrayed. Accordingly, stronger legal safeguards are necessary to protect individual rights while preserving the social function of public spaces and community sports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of shadow training on volleyball smash ability among extracurricular participants at MTs Islamiyah Temayang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 19 male students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a volleyball smash ability test that had established validity and reliability. The research procedure included a pretest, the implementation of shadow training over several sessions, and a posttest. Data analysis techniques involved descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test assisted by SPSS version 30. The results showed an improvement in smash ability after the implementation of shadow training, as indicated by an increase in the mean score from 8.95 to 12.42. The normality test results indicated that the data were normally distributed (Sig. > 0.05), thus meeting the assumptions for parametric testing, while the paired sample t-test results showed a significance value of < 0.001 (p < 0.05) with a t-value of -6.979, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. These findings demonstrate that shadow training is effective as an alternative training method in improving volleyball smash ability through enhancing movement coordination, timing, and structured technical mastery, although the improvement was not evenly distributed among all participants. Therefore, this study provides practical contributions for coaches and physical education teachers in developing effective training models that align with the characteristics of madrasah-level students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in improving the learning outcomes of basketball passing techniques of 8th grade students at SMPN 01 Balaraja. Due to the lack of mastery of students in passing basketball techniques. So it takes a more effective learning model and can improve the mastery of 8th grade students in passing basketball. The method used is quantitative experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of this study were 30 8th grade students of SMPN 01 Balaraja. Data collection involved pre-test and post-test to measure skills. The results showed a significant increase after treatment with the TGT cooperative learning model. The average pre-test score was 43.30%, while the average post-test score increased to 82%, with a range of 78-81, indicating a substantial increase in accuracy. The hypothesis is effective, indicating a significant positive effect of treatment with the TGT cooperative learning model on 8th grade students of SMPN 01 Balaraja. This shows that the TGT cooperative learning model, when practiced by eighth-grade students, effectively improves students' precision, consistency, and control when passing a basketball.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Zig-Zag Dribbling and Wall Pass training on improving futsal ball control among students of SMP Walisongo Sidoarjo. The research applied a quantitative approach using a true experimental randomized pretest–posttest two-group design. The sample consisted of 20 futsal extracurricular students who were randomly assigned into two treatment groups. Data were collected through ball control skill tests conducted during pretest and posttest sessions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing, homogeneity testing, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and analysis of covariance. The results showed that both training methods significantly improved ball control performance. The Zig-Zag Dribbling group demonstrated a higher mean improvement compared to the Wall Pass group. Analysis of covariance indicated a significant difference between groups after controlling initial ability, suggesting that Zig-Zag Dribbling training tends to be more effective in improving students’ ball control. These findings indicate that training emphasizing direction changes and ball-touch control while moving provides stronger stimulation for ball mastery. This study recommends that physical education teachers and futsal coaches integrate both training models in a structured program to enhance students’ fundamental technical skills

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of battle rope and push up training on volleyball underarm passing ability of students at SMA Negeri 6 Takalar and to compare the effectiveness of both training methods. A quantitative approach with pre-experimental pretest-posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 24 students divided into two groups using match ordinal pairing technique: Group A (battle rope training, n=12) and Group B (push up training, n=12). The training program was implemented over 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 times per week (16 sessions). The measurement instrument used the Brumbach underarm passing test with 20 trials. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Levene homogeneity test, and Welch test (equal variances not assumed). Results showed that the battle rope group experienced a mean improvement from 20.50 to 25.67 (increase of 5.17 points), while the push up group improved from 20.50 to 23.17 (increase of 2.67 points). ANOVA and Welch tests yielded F = 3.068 with significance p = 0.087 > 0.05, indicating no significant difference in effectiveness between both groups. The eta-squared value of 0.063 indicated a small effect size. It was concluded that both training methods provide positive effects on underarm passing ability; however, integration with direct technical passing practice is necessary for more optimal results.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the areas of the body most prone to sports injuries, as assessed by the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), among students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Samarra. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach due to its suitability for the nature of the research. The study population consisted of third- and fourth-year male students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – Samarra University for the academic year (2025–2026), numbering 253 students, whilst the research sample comprised 107 students selected using a purposive sampling method, representing 42.29% of the study population. The researcher used the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), which consists of seven basic movement tests, to assess the quality of basic movement patterns and identify movement imbalances that may increase the likelihood of sports injuries. The data were analysed using SPSS 24, relying on the mean, standard deviation, skewness coefficient and percentage. The study results revealed variations in the levels of functional movement patterns among the research sample; whilst most students achieved scores indicating an acceptable level of motor competence, whilst some results indicated deficiencies in certain basic movement patterns among a number of students, which may increase their susceptibility to sports injuries whilst engaging in physical activities. The study concluded that the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is an effective tool for detecting movement imbalances and identifying areas of weakness in the students’ musculoskeletal system, which contributes to improving the quality of motor performance and reducing the risk of sports injuries. The study recommended that the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) be adopted as a routine method for assessing movement patterns among physical education students, and that corrective training programmes be designed to improve motor efficiency and reduce the risk of sports injuries.

Abstract

Pemahaman pelatih terhadap kurikulum pembinaan sepak bola Indonesia adalah hal penting, dikarenakan pelatih sepak bola merupakan komponen utama pembinaan sepak bola di Indonesia.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana pemahaman pelatih sepakbola usia dini di Jawa Tengah terhadap kurikulum pembinaan sepak bola Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada pelatih di berbagai sekolah sepak bola usia dini. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatih umumnya memahami kurikulum pembinaan usia dini, Temuan ini menyarankan perlunya peningkatan kapasitas pelatih melalui program pelatihan lanjutan serta evaluasi berkala terhadap praktik pembinaan. Dan di harapkan untuk terus menambah memperluas pemahaman mengenai kurikulum pembinaan sepak bola indnesia.
