ABDI KAMI: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on publishing scientific articles related to community service activities. Abstract

One of the opportunities that can be used to create new employment opportunities and also have the potential to improve the family economy of former women workers is by providing them with skills based on local wisdom. The purpose of this service is to improve the economy of Indonesian ex-female labor through handicrafts based on local wisdom in Kradenan Village, Purwoharjo District. The strategy undertaken is to provide understanding, knowledge, insight and skills for Indonesian ex-female labor. The results of her dedication show that this former female worker has a new awareness of entrepreneurship. This is shown by their seriousness in following the bamboo handicraft training. The effort to make handicrafts makes the Indonesian ex-female labor more empowered to have skills and the job opportunities are open automatically as a result, the Indonesian ex-female labor are more empowered and do not want to return to being female workers.

Abstract

Kampung Bambu Alu, is a program for developing a tourist destination, bamboo center and sustainable ecotourism site in Alu Village. The village is located in Alu District, Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. This program has been running since last year and involving 3 main partners, namely, the Alu Local Government, Cahaya Uwai Manurung Craftsmen Group and the Alu Youth Community Forum (Forum Komunitas Pemuda Alu). However, there are still a number of problems encountered by partners and Alu people, from the decrease of income and productivity due to the pandemi to the lack of use of e-marketing. All these problems may potentially jeopardize the sustainability of this bamboo and ecotourism business in the future. For that, PPDM team from Universitas Sulawesi Barat through the Partner Village Development Program (PPDM) Year 2 has carried out a series of follow-up activities for realizing an Ecotourism Village “Kampung Bambu Alu”. Some activities that have been carried out including the socialization of PPDM Year 2 with the Covid-19 Socialization, Workshop on Ecotourism and Bamboo Products, IT and E-Commerce Workshop, adding the production equipment for bamboo products, making murals for photo spots, and publications for both journals and mass media. All these activities has posed some impacts on the economic and social aspects of Alu people. These include increasing the demands for Alu bamboo products, increasing the income of the community, increasing the quality and quantity of the products produced by Alu bamboo craftsmen, and increasing the public awareness in implementing the health protocols.

Abstract

Aqidah Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) merupakan aqidah yang terbesar yang diikuti oleh umat Islam di seluruh dunia. Aqidah Aswaja ini memiliki unsur-unsur aqidah Islam yang relevan dan diterima baik oleh dalil naqli maupun aqli. Terlebih lagi prinsip prinsip aqidah Aswaja sesuai dengan ajaran Islam yang Rahmatal lil ‘Alamiin, yaitu bersifat tawasut atau bersifat moderat, tidak ekstrim kanan maupun ekstrim kiri.

Abstract

Rationally, the combination of businesses in agriculture and animal husbandry is mutually supportive. This means that in addition to the main harvest in the form of cropping, by-products are also obtained, namely abundant forage for livestock. On the other hand, from livestock farming, it primarily generates economic benefits from the sale of livestock, and in the secondary produces manure which is essential for increasing agricultural production. The KKN-PPM activity is intended to provide a real touch of empowering agricultural sector businesses, where agricultural products will be innovated into processed products. To increase agricultural productivity, skills and other innovations are needed. But so far, farmers in Gumuk Banyuwangi Village are still selling their crops in the form of fruit. Knowledge about product innovation is still minimal. so that during the high harvest, prices plummeted, and some were even wasted. Even though at the KKN-PPM activity location, there are so many materials available to support the manufacture of papaya preparations, where then the papaya will be innovated into processed Papaya Candy and Papaya Shredded.

Abstract

Health empowerment programs in the community currently need to be socialized so that the community can understand and maintain their respective health conditions. We are currently being tested with the emergence of coronavirus or cOVID-19 disease outbreak that first appeared in December 2019 in China and then spread in Indonesia last March. Implementing community health empowerment programs carried out by the Posyandu Delima cadre community in Sentono Sub-district of Glanggang has carried out community health empowerment programs well, such as clean and healthy behavior programs, mask making counseling, and immunization programs for toddlers. The purpose of this community service help is to educate all people to always maintain health by doing a clean and healthy lifestyle, by always maintaining the cleanliness of the environment and doing sports in the morning. Kata Kunci : Community Health Empowerment Program, Posyandu Delima Cadre Community, Sentono Sub-Village Glanggang.

Abstract

Aqidah Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) is the largest aqidah followed by Muslims all over the world. This Aqidah Aswaja contains elements of Islamic aqidah that are relevant and accepted by both naqli and aqli arguments. Moreover, Aswaja's aqidah principles are in accordance with the teachings of Islam which is Rahmatal lil 'Alamiin, which is tawasut or moderate in nature, not extreme right or extreme left.

Abstract

Covid-19 has a big impact on all groups, from the government to MSMEs. The smaller the opportunity to work, eventually many people have to rethink to pay for their lives. During this time of pandemic, home businesses are growing rapidly, one of which is Mr. Agung Santoso who is a Handycraft craftsman. n implementing the Tri Dharma and having a vision and mission, Surakarta's high school of economics always provides assistance to MSME craftsmen around Solo Raya in improving the creative economy. Introduction to entrepreneurship, e-marketing and introduction to management and finance which are the main targets in the development of the Agung Handycraft business.

Abstract

One indicator of the success of education is the good quality of teachers. Permendiknas Number 16 of 2007 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Competency of Subject Teachers states that teachers must have competencies, one of which is the competence to develop assessment instruments, both assessment of learning processes and assessment of learning outcomes. This is very important to measure the learning outcomes that have been set in the curriculum. In fact, English teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah were still lacked in compiling exam questions using HOTS criteria. Therefore, the training program to create HOTS based test for English teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah was implemented. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge about the preparation of HOTS-based questions by the English teacher of SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah.

Abstract

This community service activity (PKM) is carried out to provide information on the situation experienced by the community regarding changes in extension activities that are usually carried out directly. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, outreach activities on the implementation of civic defense were carried out in online form. This online outreach was carried out using the Zoom Meeting application platform for 180 minutes. This counseling provided an explanation of the implementation of civic defense for the general public. The civic defense material presented was the meaning, values and goals of civic defense. In general, it can be concluded that the online outreach activity for the implementation of civic defense to the Rempoa Village provides an understanding that any Indonesian citizen can play an active role in realizing the values of civic defense in their daily life. Abstract

It is very important to introduce good food and snacks to students. This is useful for maintaining the health of students when consuming snacks in the school canteen. This service aims to increase students' knowledge and attitudes towards types of food that contain artificial sweeteners and dyes through simple demonstration methods. The service method is a pretest and posttest experimental research using test instruments and questionnaires. The population in this study were students at SMPN 5 Cianjur, West Java. The sample was selected randomly so that 37 students were selected. Data analysis using comparative descriptive. The results of this study were (1) a simple demonstration method could increase students' knowledge of the type of food based on n.gain dye 0.75 (high) and sweetener n-gain 0.69 (medium); (2) students' attitudes about food coloring and sweeteners are at a good level. (3) The relationship between the aspects of attitude and knowledge in this service includes the domain of disciplinary attitude towards sweeteners (0.92) and 0.442 dyes, the creative domain for sweeteners 0.789 and dyes 0.416, the domain of responsibility for sweetener aspects 0.279 and dyes 0.407. The introduction of food snacks through effective methods increases students' knowledge of sweeteners and food coloring that are healthy.
