Jurnal Ilmu Bahasa dan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Asosiasi Periset Bahasa Sastra Indonesia, Jurnal ini mengeksplorasi teori dan praktik terkini dalam pendidikan bahasa, metode pengajaran yang efektif, serta strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi bahasa siswa. Abstract

Students of vocational high schools are required to write an internship report as a form of accountability for completing their industrial training. However, various language errors are still found in students’ PKL reports. This study aims to describe and analyze morphological errors in the PKL reports of vocational high school students majoring in Electronics Engineering. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using document analysis. A total of 223 PKL reports were written by all students of SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta in 2025. The research data consisted of 25 PKL reports from students of the Electronics Engineering major selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of identification, classification, description, quantification, and interpretation of morphological errors, with data validity ensured through theoretical triangulation. The results show that 286 morphological errors were identified, consisting of prefix errors (96), suffix errors (52), confix errors (41), reduplication errors (28), compound word errors (34), and base-form errors (35). Prefix errors were the most dominant type, accounting for 33.6% of all errors. These findings indicate that students still experience difficulties in applying affixation rules and forming standard words in formal written language. Such errors are influenced by interference from spoken language and the technical language used in the workplace. This study highlights the importance of structured and contextual morphology instruction to improve the quality of vocational students’ PKL report writing.

Abstract

This research purposes to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 274 Gresik regarding local culture for the 2024/2025 academic year. The methodology used is classroom action research. Data collection techniques were conducted through tests to assess students’ critical thinking skills and observations to assess student and teacher activities. The data analysis used included calculating the average scores from the tests and the results of the observations. The sample used in this research comprised of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 274 Gresik during the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of the research indicate that the average score on the critical thinking skills test increased from 50.36 in the pre-action phase to 67.14 in Cycle I, and reached 86.43 in Cycle II. The findings of the teacher activity observations displayed an increase from 3.89 in Cycle I to 4.00 in Cycle II. The average results of student activity observations also increased from 68.21 in Cycle I to 86.43 in Cycle II. These results lead to the conclusion that the contextual approach proved effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills regarding local cultural material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of mindful leadership in preventing teacher burnout while fostering a healthy work culture in educational institutions. The method employed is a qualitative literature review with thematic synthesis of 31 recent scholarly articles published between 2022 and 2026, focusing on mindful leadership, teacher burnout, and educational organizational culture. The analysis reveals that mindful leadership not only emphasizes leader self-awarenessbut also includes emotion regulation, empathy, and quality social interactions within educational organizations. Mindfulness-based leadership practices are effective in enhancing teachers’ self- efficacy, psychological well-being, and creating supportive work environments. Furthermore, mindful leadership contributes to developing a healthy work culture by strengthening collaboration, communication, and trust values within schools. This literature synthesis provides significant contributions for academics in under standing the interplay between mindful leadership, teacher burnout, and work culture, while offering practical guidance for school principals in designing holistic and preventive leadership strategies. The study underscores the need forfurther empirical research to examine the effectiveness of mindful leadership across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This reflective autoethnographic study explores the lived experience of being an only child caring for an elderly mother with Parkinson's disease while working as a full-time lecturer. The research aims to understand how this dual role affects the caregiver's mental health, work productivity, and relationship with the mother. Using a reflective autoethnographic approach based on Ellis, data were collected through three techniques: autobiographical narratives and memos, analysis of personal artifacts (work schedules, medical records, photographs), and an integrated self-interview. Thematic-reflective analysis revealed three main themes. First, structural loneliness describes the profound isolation resulting from having no sibling to share physical, emotional, and decisional responsibilities, which informal support cannot easily remedy. Second, stealth strategies at work refer to hidden tactics such as leaving early without disclosure, using breaks to check on the mother, and concealing caregiving struggles to avoid being perceived as less committed or losing professional opportunities. Third, fought for bonds shows that despite exhaustion and initial frustration, the caregiver’s relationship with her mother deepened through daily effort, patience, and reframing caregiving as meaningful devotion, a process aligned with filial maturity. The findings highlight the unique pressures faced by only-child working caregivers, including invisible productivity loss and the inadequacy of general social support. Practical implications for employers, social workers, and policymakers are discussed. This study contributes a rich first-person account to the underexplored area of only-child caregiving and offers recommendations for workplace cultural change, targeted support groups, and subsidized respite services.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the low level of student activeness and understanding in IPAS learning at the elementary school level. The objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the role play method in improving students’ activeness and learning outcomes. This study employed a classroom action research approach involving 27 students. The data were collected through observation and evaluation of student learning outcomes. The findings revealed a significant improvement in both student participation and understanding after the implementation of the role play method. Students became more active in asking questions, responding to the teacher, and participating in classroom activities. In terms of learning outcomes, 85.2% of students were able to answer questions correctly and demonstrated good understanding, while the remaining 14.8% also achieved the minimum criteria. These results indicate that learning through direct experience enhances students’ comprehension. The implication of this study suggests that the role play method can be used as an effective alternative teaching strategy to create an interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment in elementary education.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of web-based Polypad media in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes for fifth-grade elementary school students on geometric nets topic. Polypad is a free, web-accessible interactive mathematics platform developed by Mathigon that enables students to visually and exploratively construct flat shapes into three-dimensional nets, covering cubes, rectangular prisms, cones, square pyramids, triangular prisms, and cylinders. The use of this technology-based medium is expected to deepen students' conceptual grasp of geometry by offering learning experiences that are more hands-on, engaging, and context-rich in comparison to traditional classroom instruction. This study employed a pre-experimental approach utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants involved consisted of 28 fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN Socah 1 Bangkalan, with data collected through a 10-item multiple-choice learning achievement instrument. The magnitude of learning progress was measured using the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) index, while a paired sample t-test was applied to evaluate whether the difference in scores obtained before and after the intervention carried statistical significance. The analysis revealed that the class average climbed from 56.4 at the pretest stage to 73.2 at the posttest stage, yielding an N-Gain value of 0.40 which falls within the moderate category. The t-test results further confirmed that the improvement was statistically significant, suggesting that Polypad media exerts a considerable positive influence on student learning outcomes.
