Maka untuk menghindari kekosongan artikel, maka tim pengelola jurnal melakukan upload ulang artikel secara quiksubmite Manthiq: Jurnal Filsafat Agama dan Pemikiran Islam di tahun 2022 telah merubah institusi/lembaga penerbit dari IAIN Bengkulu menjadi UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. Hal ini sesuai dengan Peraturan Presiden Republik Indonesia Nomor 41 Tahun 2021 tentang Perubahan status IAIN Bengkulu menjadi UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu.

Abstract

Abstract:  The purpose of this study is to determine the concept of the state in Islam and the relationship between Islam and the state according to Ahmad Syafii Maarif. To uncover the problem in depth and thoroughly, the author uses this type of library research with qualitative descriptive methods that are useful to provide information, facts and data about the concept of the state in Islam and the relationship between Islam and the state according to Ahmad Syafii Maarif, then the data is described , analyzed and discussed to answer these problems. From the results of this study found that: first, the concept of a state in Islam according to Ahmad Syafii Maarif is closer to the shura system. A democratic state, which applies the principle of shura, is best suited for a country's system. This is because the system is closer to the political ideals of the Qur'an, which places humans in the same position in the decision-making process for the common good. Second, the relationship between Islam and the state according to Ahmad Syafii Maarif is a symbiotic relationship, which is a relationship that needs each other and is mutual. Religion (Islam) requires the state as a means to realize moral ideals or teachings that are in the Qur'an, while the state needs religion (Islam) as a moral guide for all life of the state and society.Keywords: Islam, state, shura, democracy. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep negara dalam Islam serta hubungan Islam dan negara menurut Ahmad Syafii Maarif. Untuk mengungkap persoalan tersebut secara mendalam dan menyeluruh, penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian pustaka (library research) dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang bermanfaat untuk memberikan informasi, fakta serta data mengenai konsep negara dalam Islam dan hubungan Islam dan negara menurut Ahmad Syafii Maarif, kemudian data tersebut diuraikan, dianalisis dan dibahas untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa: pertama, Konsep negara dalam Islam menurut Ahmad Syafii Maarif lebih dekat kepada sistem syura. Negara yang berbentuk demokratis, yang menjalankan prinsip syura paling cocok untuk sistem sebuah negara. Hal ini dikarenakan sistem tersebut lebih dekat kepada cita-cita politik Al-Qur’an, yang menempatkan manusia pada posisi sama dalam proses pengambilan keputusan untuk kepentingan bersama. Kedua, Hubungan Islam dan negara menurut Ahmad Syafii Maarif adalah hubungan yang simbiotik, yaitu suatu hubungan yang saling membutuhkan satu sama lainnya dan bersifat timbal balik. Agama (Islam) membutuhkan negara sebagai sarana untuk mewujudkan cita-cita moral atau ajaran-ajarannya yang ada dalam Al-Qur’an, sedangkan negara membutuhkan agama (Islam) sebagai petunjuk moral bagi semua kehidupan bernegara dan bermasyarakat.Kata Kunci: Islam, negara, syura, demokrasi.

Abstract

Talking about  freedom, freedom can have many meanings, depending on which  perspective it sees. If wrong  in looking,  then  the  freedom can  be  legitimacy  to do  something that  is not  good.  For this reason understanding freedom with proper  understanding becomes very important. Freedom in the philosophical view of existentialism is interesting to be examined since  this philosophy examines human beings  in terms  of their subjectivity so that it will provide an understanding of freedom not only philosophically which is theoretical but also in the ethical  realm  that really touches human life in real. The two figures whose thoughts are discussed in this study are representative of two different  schools  of existentialism, atheist  / non-religious existence and theistic  / religious existentialism. So this study will also present not only an understanding of freedom from an existentialist perspective but also  to see  how  a concept is viewed  by two  contradictory beliefs.  Muhammad Iqbal who built his thoughts with a firm belief in God and Jean Paul Sartre who tried to keep  people from being dependent on God with their atheistic  beliefs. The problem in this research, are: 1. How is human’s freedom in the philosophy of existentialism of Muhammad Iqbal and  Jean  Paul Sartre? 2. What are the similarities  and differences of the concept of human’s freedom according to Muhammad Iqbal and Jean Paul Sartre? To answer the  research  problem formulation above  is done  library research (library  research), by using  comparative method. The results of the research are: 1. Existentialism  Muhammad Iqbal is theistic existence of theistic. This characteristic of existentialism is very visible in the  idea  of “khudi” philosophy.  Khudi / self in Iqbal’s view is unique, free and creative. The freedom for him is a means to achieve the existence of the ultimate  self is man as niyabati divine/ representative of God on this earth. The existentialism of Jean Paul Sartre is representative of the atheistic  existentialism style. Because this concept departs from the idea that human’s freedom is absolute, then if there is a God man is not free. God’s power  will deprive human’s freedom. The foundation of Sartre’s concept of existentialism is that existence precedes the essence. Because man  is a self-conscious existence that he is free and responsible for his freedom. 2. The thoughts of these two figures have similarities,  namely  a) Equally look at human’s existence from the point of view subjectivity. So according to them  human’s existence is a free self and responsible for their actions. In other words, freedom is a human’s existence, b) His philosophy contains an ethical value that instills the importance of humanity. That every human being has responsibility is not only for himself but for all humans. The differences are: a) God’s existence in Iqbal’s view requires human’s existence, whereas for Sartre  the  existence of God eliminates the  existence of man  as an individual  who  has  absolute freedom, b) Iqbal’s freedom culminates in an approach to God as the vigerence of God. While Sartre’s freedom is an absolute freedom whose goal is purely freedom itself, the freedom to determine without being attached to anything, c) The freedom of others for Iqbal is a means of achieving true freedom. Meanwhile, Sartre argues that the freedom of others is a threat to his freedom.

Abstract

Abstract: The Concept of Secularization According to Nurkholis Majid (Study of Nurcholish Madjid's Secularization Thought). The background for the emergence of the idea of secularization cannot be separated from the Western world, especially with Christianity. The Western world as a region where the idea of secularization emerged was inseparable from philosophical thought which later influenced the development of science and technology which was later marked by the emergence of the industrial revolution. So that it has a considerable impact on religious conditions or religious affairs, namely the erosion of spiritual values and the human person so that religious affairs are separated from the world. The formulation of the problem in this research is what is the idea of secularization according to Nurkholis Majid? Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to find out the idea of secularization from Nurcholish Madjid's thought. The purpose of this research is to contribute to the study of Islamic thought, especially Islam and modern issues such as secularization. Second, it is hoped that the results of this study will be able to provide new insights in seeing the challenges for Muslims in the future when dealing with issues of modernity such as secularization. This research is a qualitative research. Here the researcher collects data, secondly performs data analysis, the third compiles systematically in the form of a systematic discussion. This type of research is library research (library research) from various literatures whose main object is books, journals, manuscripts, notes and other forms of writing related to Nurkholish Madjid's thoughts. In simple terms, this study carried out several stages, because this study was a systematic study. To facilitate and obtain problem formulations in this study, the authors need to emphasize an approach method, namely the socio-historical approach. Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the concept of securelization according to Nurcholish Madjid, is intended to further strengthen the task of humans on earth as khalifah. The function as caliph makes humans have the freedom to regulate and act in order to improve life on earth, as well as provide justification that humans have responsibility for the actions they have done on earth before God.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh  informasi  yang diproleh  oleh  peneliti,  bahwa NU sudah lama masuk ke Kabupaten Bengkulu  Selatan,  namun hakikatnya tidak  banyak  bukti-bukti  keberadaan NU awal tersebut. Masuknya NU terlihat dari lembaga pendidikan Islam di sana,  seperti:  minimnya Pondok Pesantren, dan belum  ditemukannya pendidikan Islam formal yang murni mengatas namakan Lembaga NU yang masih berdiri  pada   masa sekarang, misalnya  Madrasah NU, Sekolah  Ma’arif atau  Universitas  Nahdatul   Ulama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui pertama, kontribusi  Nahdlatul  Ulama (NU) dalam  perkembangan lembaga pendidikan Islam  di  Kabupaten Bengkulu  Selatan.  Kedua,  faktor-faktor  penghambat  kontribusi Nahdlatul  Ulama  (NU) dalam  perkembangan lembaga Pendidikan Islam  di Kabupaten Bengkulu  Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif  yang  membahas tentang analisis  kritis kontribusi  Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dalam  perkembangan lembaga Pendidikan Islam di Kabupaten Bengkulu  Selatan.  Metode yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini berusaha mendeskripsikan analisis kritis kontribusi Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dalam  perkembangan lembaga pendidikan Islam di kabupaten Bengkulu  Selatan.  Adapun  dari  hasil  penelitian ini adalah pertama, Nahdlatul  Ulama  (NU) memberikan kontribusi  berupa non  materi  kepada lembaga pendidikan Islam  formal  di Kabupaten Bengkulu  selatan. Kedua,  Nahdlatul  Ulama  (NU) memberikan kontribusi  tidak  mengatasnamakan  organisasi. Ketiga, kader- kader  Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) kurang terorganisir.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ilmu nahwu dari perspektif filsafat ilmu, dengan fokus pada ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi ilmu nahwu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskripstif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya dalam bentuk kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode pustaka yang mengacu pada sumber-sumber relevan dari jurnal ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara ontologis, Ilmu Nahwu berfokus pada hakikat aturan tata bahasa Arab yang mendasari pemahaman teks suci. Secara epistemologis, ilmu ini berkembang melalui metode empiris (simā’i) dan logis (qiyas) untuk menyusun kaidah-kaidahnya. Sementara itu, secara aksiologis, Ilmu Nahwu memberikan manfaat besar dalam menjaga otentisitas teks keislaman, mendukung pendidikan bahasa Arab, dan memperkuat tradisi keilmuan Islam. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memperkaya khazanah keilmuan tentang Ilmu Nahwu dengan pendekatan filsafat ilmu. Penelitian ini hanya membahas Ilmu Nahwu dari perspektif filsafat ilmu, peneliti lain dapat melanjutkan studi ini dari perspektif yang berbeda. Kata Kunci : Ilmu Nahwu, Ontologi, Epistemologi, Aksiologi, Filsafat Ilmu ABSTRACTThis research aims to examine the science of Nahwu from the perspective of the philosophy of science, focusing on the ontology, epistemology, and axiology of Nahwu. The method used is a descriptive method with data collection techniques in a qualitative form using a literature method that refers to relevant sources from scientific journals. The results show that ontologically, Nahwu focuses on the nature of Arabic grammatical rules that underlie the understanding of sacred texts. Epistemologically, this science develops through empirical (simā'i) and logical (qiyas) methods to formulate its rules. Meanwhile, axiologically, Nahwu provides great benefits in maintaining the authenticity of Islamic texts, supporting Arabic language education, and strengthening the Islamic scholarly tradition. This research contributes to enriching the knowledge treasury of Nahwu with a philosophical approach to science. This research only discusses Nahwu from the perspective of the philosophy of science, other researchers can continue this study from a different perspective.Keywords: Nahwu, Ontology, Epistemology, Axiology, Philosophy of Science

Abstract

Abstract: Javanese Mitoni Tradition In Arga Makmur City (Islamic Philosophy Perspective). One of the ritual traditions in Javanese customs that is currently still believed by the Javanese people in Arga Makmur City is the Mitoni ritual. Mitoni is a ceremony performed by mothers who are pregnant with their first child at the age of 7 months. The cycle of life that will be born into the world in Javanese society is used to face the birth stage, where the Mitoni ceremony is considered sacred so that it is still carried out when the baby is still in the womb and at the age of seven months until now. The purpose of this study was to find out about the Javanese Mitoni Tradition in the city of Arga Makmur. The approach used in this research is qualitative research. From the results of research conducted by researchers about the Javanese Mitoni Tradition in Arga Makmur City, North Bengkulu Regency, it can be concluded as follows: Mitoni tradition Mitoni tradition is a tradition that has existed since the ancestors/ancestors first. Mitoni tradition is carried out if someone is pregnant and has reached the age of seven months of pregnancy. Usually this tradition is carried out if the first child enters the age of seven months of pregnancy, the implementation of the mitoni tradition is carried out at the house of someone who has an intention. Islamic Values in the Mitoni Tradition Values of Worship are chanting prayers, namely Tahlil, and reading QS. Yusuf and QS. Maryam with the aim of giving birth to healthy children and becoming pious and pious children. The value of Amaliah is to increase good deeds through charity among others. The value of Ukhuwah Islamiyah is to create a sense of togetherness and a sense of unity, unity in society so that harmony and close friendship between people arise. The value of trust is to believe wholeheartedly that Allah SWT is the only place to worship and ask for all the requests and pleasures that we have received in life. Salah satu tradisi ritual dalam adat Jawa yang saat ini masih diyakini oleh masyarakat Jawa yang ada di Kota Arga Makmur yaitu ritual Mitoni. Mitoni merupakan upacara yang dilakukan oleh ibu yang sedang mengandung anak pertama pada usia kandungan yang memasuki 7 bulan. Siklus kehidupan yang akan lahir kedunia dalam masyarakat Jawa digunakan untuk menghadapi tahap kelahiran, dimana upacara Mitoni dianggap sakral sehingga masih dilakukan saat bayi masih berada dalam kandungan dan pada usia tujuh bulan sampai saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang Tradisi Mitoni MasyarakatJawa di kota Arga Makmur. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti Tentang Tradisi Mitoni Masyarakat Jawa di Kota Arga Makmur Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut Tradisi mitoni Tradisi mitoni merupakan sebuah tradisi yang sudah ada sejak nenek moyang/leluhurter dahulu. Tardisi mitoni dilakukan jika ada seseorang yang sedang mengandung dan sudah menginjak usia kandungan tujuh bulan. Biasanya tradisi tersebut dilakukan jika anak pertama yang memasuki usia kandungan tujuh bulan, pelaksaan tradisi mitoni dilakukan dirumah seseorang yang mempunyai hajat. Nilai-nilai Islam dalam Tradisi Mitoni Nilai Ibadah yaitu melantunkan doa-doa yakni Tahlil, dan bacaan QS. Yusuf dan QS. Maryam dengan tujuan anak yang dilahirkan diberi kesehatan dan menjadi anak yang sholeh dan shalehah. Nilai Amaliah yaitu untuk meningkatkan amal yang baik melalui bersedekah antar sesama. Nilai Ukhuwah Islamiyah yaitu dengan mewujudkan rasa kebersamaan dan rasa persatuan, kesatuan dalam masyarakat sehingga timbulnya kerukunan dan erat silaturahmi antar sesama. Nilai Kepercayaan yaitu dengan meyakini dengan sepenuh hati bahwa Allah SWT merupakan tempat satu-satunya untuk beribadah dan meminta atas segala permintaan dan kenikmatan yang telah kita peroleh dalam kehidupan. Abstract

Abstract: Religious Thinking of Naqshbandi Order in the Village of Sukadatang Disctrict of North Curup Rejang Lebong;This research is motivated by the controversy over the existence of followers of Naqsyabandiyah Sufism in in the village ofSukadatang district Rejang Lebong. The problems of this research are: 1).What are the factors supporting the growing followers  ofNaqsyabandiyah order  in the village ofSukadatang Northern  Curup District of Rejang  Lebong?  2) How does  the  practice patterns of thought  and  religious  viewof  the  Naqsyabandiyah followers  in  the  village  ofSukadatang Northern  Curup  District of Rejang  Lebong?.  This research is a  field research. Data collection techniques used  were  interviews  with informants who  directly related to the issues. The results  showed that the factors supporting the growing follower of Naqsyabandiyah sufi orderin  the village of Sukadatang Northern  Curup District of Rejang Lebong are; Firstly, the internal  factors of the sufi order which include;  the  spiritual needs of the  congregation followers,  leadership figures, regeneration is good,  adequate building facilities, and the majority of the followers  are middle  income. Secondly,  is the external factors which include; the support of the Government, JATMI, the Indonesian Ulema Council, and the public. As for the practice of SufiNaqsyabandiyah worshipers in the  village of Sukadatang are:  repentance bath,  allegiance, mysticism, perform  dhikr latha’if, and tawajuh. While the religious thought  of this order is the moral approach, because the whole practice and dhikr undertaken aim to cleanse themselves of all sins and reprehensible nature. According to them, each participant shall make suluk allegiance to teachers or tutors. About genealogy, the teachings of this sufi order must have a pedigree that can be justified, and how to connect communication between pedigree it could have been through communication with a pedigree who has died, for example through dreams.

Abstract

Abstract : The problem of understanding is crucial because misunderstanding can have fatal consequences. This awareness of understanding needs to be instilled in understanding various symbols and signs, including texts and symbols related to religion. This research aims to address the effectiveness of understanding religious language, and how generations living in different times and places are able to grasp the ideas of religious texts correctly and comprehensively from previous generations. This research is a literature review using a qualitative-descriptive approach to analyze various relevant books and scientific journal articles. The study concludes that interaction with religious texts is not merely about reading and understanding the text but also requires a comprehensive, contextual understanding of its context and message. Ignoring the context of space and time is very dangerous, as it will present an incomplete, unequal, and even problematic image of religion.Keywords: Religious Messages, Religious Texts, Urgency of Context.Abstrak: Problem memahami merupakan hal penting karena salah memahami berakibat fatal. Kesadaran memahami ini perlu dibawa untuk memahami berbagai simbol dan tanda, termasuk teks dan simbol yang terkait dengan agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab efektifitas memahami bahasa agama, bagaimana generasi yang hidup di zaman dan tempat yang berbeda mampu menangkap gagasan teks agama secara benar dan utuh dari generasi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif untuk melakukan analisis berbagai literatur buku-buku yang relevan dan berbagai artikel jurnal ilmiah yang relevan. Sebagai hasil kajian, interaksi dengan teks keagamaan tidaklah cukup dengan kecakapan membaca dan mengetahui teks saja melainkan harus dengan memahami konteks serta pesannya secara komprehensif kontekstualis. Terabaikannya konteks ruang dan waktu sangat berbahaya, karena justru akan menampilkan wajah agama yang tidak utuh, timpang bahkan bermasalah.Kata kunci: Pesan Agama, Teks Keagamaan, Urgensi Konteks.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the marriage of one kaum  in Pekal society in Malin Deman  sub-district  of Mukomuko  regency  in banned and  to know  the  view of Islamic  law concerning the prohibition of marriage of one  people in Pekal  society  in Kecamatan Malin Deman  of Mukomuko  Regency. The results of the study showed that the prohibition of marrying one of the people in Pekal sub-district,  Malin Deman  sub-district  of Mukomuko  Regency,  due  to the relative nature  of the kinship relationship, is feared  to damage the  relationship of silaturrahim, it is feared  there  will be  marriage between siblings, consider one brothers and to decide which dunsanak ) which does  not, educate shame, and a strong conviction  that there will be a bad thing against the descent and view of Islamic law concerning the prohibition of marriage of one kaum  in Pekal tribe society in Malin Deman  sub-district  Mukomuko  regency  is not in accordance with Islamic law because one brother  not included in those  who are forbidden to be married according to the Qur’an and Sunnah.  Thus can be said marriage of one punishable people may (mubah).

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the dominance of democracy in modern state governance, particularly the principle of majority rule as developed by Hans Kelsen. Although considered a solution to social anarchy, this principle is vulnerable to marginalizing minority groups and opens the door to abuse of power. The aim of this study is to critically examine Kelsen’s theory of majority rule from an Islamic perspective, by analyzing the thoughts of Muslim scholars such as Abbas Mahmud Al-Aqqad and Syed Naquib Al-Attas. The method used is qualitative with a library research approach, relying on both classical and contemporary literature sources. The study aims to critique Kelsen’s theory of majority rule through the lens of Islamic thought. The findings show that the principle of majority is not always synonymous with justice in Islam. The Qur’an often warns of misguidance that can be supported by the majority. Islam places greater emphasis on consultation (shura) involving those who are knowledgeable (ahlul halli wal ‘aqdi) and on the implementation of sharia as the foundation of law. Additionally, the concept of ta’dib (education in adab or moral discipline) is seen as a fundamental solution to building a just and civilized society. In conclusion, the democratic principle of majority rule needs to be Islamized in order to remain aligned with divine values and to ensure it does not contradict the Islamic concept of justice.Keywords: Hans Kelsen, islamic critique, majority principle.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dominasi sistem demokrasi dalam tata kelola negara modern, khususnya pada prinsip suara terbanyak yang dikembangkan oleh Hans Kelsen. Meskipun dianggap sebagai solusi atas anarkisme sosial, prinsip ini rentan menyebabkan marginalisasi terhadap kelompok minoritas dan membuka celah penyalahgunaan kekuasaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkritisi teori suara terbanyak Kelsen melalui perspektif Islam, dengan menelaah pemikiran para cendekiawan muslim seperti Abbas Mahmud Al-Aqqad dan Syekh Naquib Al-Attas. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, yang mengandalkan sumber-sumber literatur klasik dan kontemporer. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkritisi teori suara terbanyak Kelsen melalui pendekatan pemikiran Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip mayoritas tidak selalu identik dengan keadilan menurut Islam. Al-Qur’an bahkan sering memperingatkan tentang kesesatan yang didukung oleh mayoritas. Islam lebih menekankan musyawarah oleh orang-orang berilmu (ahlul halli wal ‘aqdi) dan pelaksanaan syariat sebagai dasar hukum. Selain itu, pendidikan adab (ta’dib) dianggap sebagai solusi fundamental untuk membentuk masyarakat adil dan berkeadaban. Kesimpulannya, prinsip demokrasi dalam bentuk suara terbanyak perlu diislamisasi agar tetap sejalan dengan nilai-nilai wahyu dan tidak bertentangan dengan prinsip keadilan dalam Islam.Kata kunci: Hans Kelsen, Kritik Islam, Prinsip Mayoritas.
