Indonesian Journal of Applied Science and Technology (IJAST) adalah wadah publikasi ilmiah yang berfokus pada penyebarluasan hasil penelitian dan pemikiran inovatif di bidang sains terapan, teknologi, dan informasi. Jurnal ini ditujukan bagi mahasiswa, guru, dosen, praktisi, maupun peneliti untuk mendiseminasikan temuan mereka kepada masyarakat ilmiah secara luas. Focus and Scope IJAST menerima naskah dalam bentuk artikel hasil penelitian (original research) maupun artikel tinjauan pustaka (review article) yang mencakup, namun tidak terbatas pada, bidang-bidang berikut: Pendidikan & Sains Dasar: Pendidikan IPA, Matematika, dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA). Peer Review Process Setiap artikel yang dikirimkan ke IJAST akan melalui proses Peer Review. Tim reviewer akan mengevaluasi naskah berdasarkan kualitas metodologi, orisinalitas temuan, dan kontribusinya terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Penulis diwajibkan melakukan registrasi dan mengirimkan artikel secara mandiri melalui sistem OJS jurnal. Open Access Policy IJAST berkomitmen pada prinsip bahwa akses terbuka terhadap hasil penelitian akan mendukung pertukaran pengetahuan global yang lebih besar. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the water parameters that support fresh fish cultivation in the Batu Bulan dam, Maman Village, Moyo Hulu District. The study used a survey method at three observation locations, inlet, center, and outlet of the dam on water quality, including temperature, brightness, substrate, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, salinity, ammonia, Phosphate, and depth. The results showed that the inlet temperature ranges from 29,32oC, in the middle ranges from 29,91oC, and the outlet is 29.11oC. The average brightness at the inlet is 41.04 cm, the middle is 48.20 cm, and the outlet is 34.16 cm. The substrate at the inlet and in the middle is muddy while the outlet is sandy. The pH average in inlet is 6,33, in the middle is 6,58, and outlet 6,53.  Dissolved oxygen (DO) in the inlet range is 5.34 mg/l, in the middle is 5.51 mg/l, and in an outlet, it is 5.85 mg/l. Turbidity in the inlet range is 2,44 NTU, in the middle 2,67 NTU, and an outlet is 3,26 NTU. Salinity in all locations is 0 ppt. Ammonia in the inlet range is 1,01 mg/l, in the middle 0,69 mg/l and outlet is 1,1 mg/l. The average Phosphate at the inlet is one mg/l, in the middle and outlet is 0 mg/l. The status of the water eligibility for aquaculture is that the inlet and middle of the dam are suitable for cultivation, while those at the outlet are less feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of porang flour concentration on the quality characteristics of purple sweet potato ice cream. This research was used an experimental method and was design as a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 (six) treatments of porang flour concentrations (0; 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.4; 0.5 %) and each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times. The parameters observed included the overrun, resistance, protein content, fat content, total solids, color, flavor, texture, and the taste of ice cream. The data were analised using Analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level using the Co-stat software. When significantly different, the data were further analised using the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) at the level of 5%. The results revealed that the use of porang flour had a significantly different effect on the protein content, total solids, resistance, and texture, but did not give a significant effect on the fat content, overrun, color, odor and the taste of purple sweet potato ice cream. The treatment of 0.2% porang flour was the best treatment that produced ice cream with the protein content 5.25%, fat content 16.53% and total solids 52.30%, overrun 2.95%, resistance 39.98 minutes and organoleptic characteristics (color, odor, texture and taste) were preferred by the panelists.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century is marked by the use of information and communication technology in all aspects of life, including in the learning process. The learning process at SMA Negeri 7 Mataram experienced problems related to the not optimal use of learning media, especially in learning physics. This development research aims to: (1) find out how to develop learning media with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on simple harmonic vibration material. (2) determine the feasibility of learning media with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on simple harmonic vibration material. This research is development research (R&D) with the model used as 4D Models (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The process of assessing learning media feasibility was carried out by giving questionnaires to five material expert validators and media experts. The study results were learning media products for simple harmonic vibration material with Adobe Flash Pro CS6 with the results of the assessment of six material expert validators getting an average score of 3.34 in the very feasible category. The assessment results of the six media expert validators got an average score of 3.50 in the very feasible category. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the learning media using Adobe Flash Pro CS6 for simple harmonic vibration material are declared suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

The environment in which the plants grow and develop is thought to have an effect on the character of the fruit and seeds and the quality of the Moringa seeds, as well as affect the seeds germination, growth and adaptability of the seedlings. Characterization is one of the activities carried out in order to identify the properties of a Moringa accession to be used in further plant breeding programs. The research aimed to describe the character of fruit and seeds as well as the relationship of the accession in Salut Village, Kayangan District, North Lombok Regency, which is the center of the growth of Moringa trees in West Nusa Tenggara, using descriptive methods through surveys and sampling by purposive sampling and analyzed with the SPSS-20 program cluster analysis. The results show that there were significant differences in the morphological and physiological characters of Moringa seeds between accessions from Salut Village, North Lombok Regency. The accession of Moringa trees that have the closest relationship was Sambik Rindang-2 and Sambik Rindang-8 with a coefficient value of 2.44, while the farthest relationship was Sambik Rindang-1 and Tanak Sebang-6 with a coefficient value of 67.87.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of a learning device with a cognitive conflict approach that is feasible on momentum and impulse concepts. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the research model developed in 4D Models, which consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The feasibility of the developed learning device is seen from the average result of the calculation of the six expert's assessment scores calculated by the device's validity and reliability. Furthermore, the distribution of response questionnaires was carried out to undergraduate students of physics education, University of Mataram, and students of class XI and XII was majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The research results based on expert judgment indicate that the results of the development of learning tools have a feasibility value with very valid and reliable criteria on the syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and the developed test instruments. The results of student and student responses show a very good response. It can be concluded that the learning device with the cognitive conflict approach is feasible to proceed to the operational trial phase in learning to improve the students' momentum and impulse problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guided inquiry physics high school physics learning tools through an appropriate science process skill approach. The learning kit was designed using the 4-D model, followed by implementing the assessment with fellow students. Data collection was done through device validation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results obtained indicate the device's validity, including syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and learning achievement test instruments using the CVR and CVI categorized as very valid. Reliability of learning tools that implement the syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, and test instruments using the Percentage Agreement (PA). The learning tools developed are reliable in terms of the achievement of learning indicators that have a PA value of more than 75%. Students' response is positive towards the development of learning tools. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based learning device through the science process skill approach that was developed is feasible to be used in learning activities to improve students' physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan modul fisika berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif yang layak sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D atau Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. Produk hasil penelitian pengembangan berupa modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif yang telah dinilai dan divalidasi oleh validator ahli dan validator praktisi. Kelayakan modul fisika dilihat dari rata-rata skor penilaian validator menggunakan SBi (Standar Baku Ideal). Selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba terbatas pada mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Mataram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul fisika berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif yang dihasilkan berdasarkan penilaian validator memiliki nilai kelayakan keseluruhan aspek rata -rata sebesar 3,30 dengan kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan hasil respon modul fisika berdasarkan uji coba terbatas pada mahasiswa memiliki nilai rata-rata seluruh aspek sebesar 3,32 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan kriteria penilaian yang digunakan, jika nilai rata -rata seluruh aspek lebih dari atau sama dengan 3,25 maka modul memiliki kategori sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan modul fisika berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak disrupted the education sector. These conditions cause the Indonesian government to directly eliminate all face-to-face education activities, including for lecture activities in Higher Education. Alternative solutions offered are lecture activities that are carried out online by utilizing various digital platforms. This study aims to describe general studies' results related to online lectures' effectiveness by using various digital platforms, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses the descriptive content analysis study method with information sources derived from various scientific, national, and international articles, which are then analyzed and drawn conclusions to obtain recommendations as a literature study. The review results show that digital platforms such as Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Schoology, and Edmodo have a positive and effective impact in improving the quality of online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Signal constraints that are less stable and wasteful of quotas during online lectures can be circumvented by selecting and combining digital platforms to minimize these obstacles while maintaining quality and reducing online courses' essence.

Abstract

The process of learning physics still uses conventional methods and does not yet use various media. This also affects the learning outcomes of students who are low. The low learning outcomes show low problem-solving abilities. So that one media needs to be developed, one of them is physics-based on problem-based learning. This study aims to determine the feasibility and reliability of multimedia physics based on problem-based learning to improve problem-solving skills. This research is a type of research development (Research and Development). This study's model uses the 4-D model, which consists of the defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The research phase is limited to the development stage. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by finding the percentage of eligibility and reliability. The results obtained that multimedia physics and learning tools are suitable because the percentage is between 76% -100% and reliable because the percentage is above 75%.  So, it can be concluded that multimedia physics is worthy of being tested on high school students in class XI.

Abstract

Physics learning in schools tends to use conventional methods and has not used learning media optimally. This has an impact on the low learning outcomes of physics, which reflects the students' low mastery of physics concepts. Therefore, a video-assisted anchored instruction model was developed. This research aims to produce a video-assisted anchored instruction model to improve students' mastery of physics concepts. The research design used is to adapt the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research stage is limited to the develop stage. Products developed in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), student worksheets (LKPD), concept mastery test instruments, and learning videos. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire to determine the validity and reliability of the product. The results of the validity were analyzed using the calculation of the Content Validity Ratio (CVR), and the Content Validity Index (CVI), and the reliability of the product was calculated using a Percentage Agreement (PA). The results showed that the CVI value was 1 (very good) for all products developed and the entire product had an average PA greater than 75% in the reliable category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the learning device developed is feasible to be tested on class X students to improve students' mastery of physics concepts.
