Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the manual book lending system still applied in the library of ABC School. The evaluation uses the PIECES method, which covers six key aspects: Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The research applies a descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques including Likert-scale questionnaires, structured interviews, and direct observation. The sample consists of 34 active respondents, including 26 students, 6 teachers, and 2 librarians. The results show that all PIECES indicators received very low average scores: Performance (1.59%), Information (2.23%), Economy (1.64%), Control (1.65%), Efficiency (1.67%), and Service (1.69%). These results indicate that the manual system in place is highly ineffective in supporting the library’s lending Services. The current system is not only slow and prone to errors, but also inefficient in terms of time and resource utilization. Based on these findings, it is recommended that ABC School modernize its library system by implementing a digital or computerized Information system to improve Service Efficiency, data accuracy, and user satisfaction.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the digital age has driven changes in various business sectors, including the laundry service industry. However, a number of laundry businesses still rely on manual record-keeping, which is prone to errors, data loss, and makes it difficult to monitor business performance. This study aims to design a web-based FreshCycle Laundry Information System as a digital solution to improve the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of laundry operations. The system was built using the Waterfall method, which includes the steps of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Analysis was conducted to identify the functional and non-functional requirements of the two main actors: the laundry administrator/owner and the cashier. System design involved the creation of context diagrams and Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) to illustrate data flow and business processes. The implementation utilized the Laravel framework and MySQL database with features such as routing, the Blade templating engine, and Eloquent ORM. Testing was conducted using Blackbox Testing, which evaluates system functionality based on inputs and outputs without examining internal code. The results showed that all core functions, such as customer data management, services, transactions, reports, and user authentication, operate in accordance with specifications. The system has proven successful in improving operational efficiency, reducing recording errors, and simplifying the monitoring of laundry activities.

Abstract

This research implements data mining techniques to analyze rainfall patterns through two different approaches: clustering and regression. The first dataset contains monthly rainfall data from East Kalimantan in 2005, analyzed using three clustering algorithms—K-Means, Agglomerative, and MeanShift to identify seasonal patterns. The second dataset uses multiregional rainfall data since 1979, analyzed using three regression algorithms—Linear Regression, Random Forest, and Support Vector Regression (SVR)—to predict June rainfall based on data from the previous five months. Evaluation results show that K-Means and Agglomerative produce the same clustering performance with a silhouette score of 0.4913, successfully grouping data into three main seasonal clusters. Meanwhile, MeanShift produces five clusters but is less effective on small-scale datasets. For regression prediction, Random Forest shows the best performance with an R² score of 0.8921, followed by Linear Regression (0.8402), while SVR produces the lowest performance (0.0077). This research demonstrates that a combination of unsupervised and supervised learning methods can provide a more comprehensive understanding of seasonal patterns and quantitative rainfall estimation. These findings have potential applications in decision-making related to water resource management, agricultural planning, and climate risk mitigation.

Abstract

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and domestic government revenue are two important indicators that reflect the condition and stability of a country's economy. In Indonesia, understanding the relationship between these two indicators is highly relevant, especially in assessing the success of fiscal policy and the direction of national development. This research aims to identify the relationship pattern between GDP and Indonesian government domestic revenue using data from 2007-2011. The analysis was carried out through correlation and linear regression approaches to measure the level of relationship and form a predictive model between the two variables. The results show a significant positive correlation between GDP growth and increased government revenue. These findings are expected to contribute to supporting the formulation of macroeconomic policies based on empirical data.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of the automotive industry in terms of production efficiency, driving safety, and the market shift towards electric vehicles. The data used include North American automotive production efficiency (1998), the risk of fatalities due to accidents in various countries (1980–1982), and the sales trend of Tesla vs BYD electric vehicles (2021–2023). The analysis methods include descriptive statistics, WPV/HPV comparisons between manufacturers, and market trend analysis. The results show that factory efficiency plays an important role in price stability, countries with good transportation infrastructure have a low risk of accidents, and BYD shows more aggressive market growth than Tesla. This study provides insights for the industry and policymakers regarding the challenges of efficiency, safety, and the transition to electric vehicles.

Abstract

The website of the Career and Entrepreneurship Development Unit (UPKK) at the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi serves as a digital platform that provides information and services for students and alumni in the context of career and entrepreneurship development. However, the effectiveness of this website still faces various challenges, both technical and non-technical. This report aims to analyze the quality and performance of the UPKK website based on usability aspects, user interface design, navigation structure, content relevance, and responsiveness across various devices. The research was conducted through direct observation, interviews with administrators, and a literature review on web-based information system development standards.The analysis results indicate that the UPKK website does not fully meet visual comfort standards, has unintuitive navigation, outdated content, and lacks optimization for mobile accessibility. Additionally, content management is carried out manually without the support of a Content Management System (CMS), resulting in slow information updates.Based on this evaluation, this report provides several development recommendations, including the use of a CMS such as WordPress, a redesign of the user interface based on UI/UX principles, and the formation of a content management team with a routine evaluation schedule. It is expected that the website’s development can enhance UPKK’s service delivery and increase student and alumni engagement in career and entrepreneurship programs.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has become a crucial aspect of improving data management in educational institutions. Madrasah Diniyah At-Taqwa, located in Tlogowulung Village, Kebumen Regency, currently manages academic data manually, including student records, teacher data, class schedules, and student grades. This manual system often leads to data retrieval delays, limited accessibility, and a high risk of data loss. To address these issues, this research aims to design and implement a web-based educational information system tailored to the needs of Madrasah Diniyah At-Taqwa. The development process follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall model, which includes phases such as requirements analysis, system design, implementation using the Laravel framework, black-box testing, and system maintenance. The system provides specific access and features for different user roles including Admins, teachers, and student guardians. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS), involving ten respondents. The average SUS score obtained was 77.75, which falls within the “Good to Excellent” usability range. This indicates that the system is easy to use, functionally appropriate, and well-received by users. Overall, the developed system effectively enhances data management processes, facilitates real-time access, and supports digital transformation in educational services

Abstract

The rapid development of mobile technology has significantly increased the global use of Android devices. However, the open-source nature of the Android operating system makes it vulnerable to malware attacks, especially from applications downloaded through unofficial sources. This study aims to analyze potential malware threats in Android applications using the Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) tool through static and dynamic analysis approaches. Five Android application samples (APK) were analyzed, consisting of apps obtained from both the Google Play Store and third-party websites. The results indicate that applications from unofficial sources carry higher security risks, as evidenced by excessive permissions, modified file structures, and communication with suspicious servers. In contrast, applications from official sources generally showed safer results, although minor vulnerabilities were still identified. MobSF proved to be effective in detecting suspicious behavior and provided security scores that can serve as references in application evaluations. This study emphasizes the importance of conducting security audits on mobile applications prior to widespread use and encourages the utilization of MobSF as a reliable tool for security analysis in Android application development and distribution.
