Abstract

Objective: This research seeks to examine the relationship between family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective economics teacher students. Method: This study employs a quantitative regression method with a survey to obtain primary data processed in SPSS. The results of this study found a negative and significant connection in relation to family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective teacher students at Surabaya State University. Results: The results of this study found a negative and massive relationship between family economic education and the entrepreneurial interest of prospective teacher students at Surabaya State University. This occurs due to the internalisation process and the conservative views of parents regarding the teaching profession that students will pursue. The indication lies in the preparation of all economic aspects for career purposes, rather than focusing on entrepreneurship. Novelty: This study uses a population of prospective economics teachers, which is rarely studied, with a research model related to the latest data. This can broaden the understanding of the broader contextual entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyse the partial influence of teachers' roles and student motivation on the decision to choose cross-interest economic programmes among high school students. Method: An explanatory quantitative method was employed to examine the relationship between variables using a questionnaire as an instrument. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, including all tenth-grade students at Petra Christian High School 3 Surabaya. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with the assistance of WarPPLS software.  Results:  This research found that the role of teachers has a positive and significant influence on the decision to choose interdisciplinary economics programs, while motivation has no effect. This emphasises the importance of the teacher's role as well as the need for improvements in economics teaching to make it more engaging. Novelty: Contextualising research in the latest location and time is a novelty because learning has changed since the revision of government policy. Teacher training to make economics a flagship subject is also important and urgent today.

Abstract

Objective: This research investigates the influence of organizational culture on knowledge sharing practices through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach that follows strict protocols to minimize bias. Method: The SLR process began with a literature search using Harzing's Publish or Perish on Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Scopus databases with the keywords “organizational culture”, “corporate culture”, “knowledge sharing”, “knowledge exchange”, and “knowledge transfer”, resulting in 320 initial articles (2019-2025). Inclusion criteria included English/Indonesian articles that presented empirical evidence on the causal relationship between organizational culture and knowledge sharing, while opinion articles, non-full text, and studies without explicit analysis were excluded. After a three-stage selection (title screening, abstract screening, full-text assessment), 78 articles were eligible for thematic analysis using NVivo 12. The main themes identified include: (1) the dominance of the collaborative culture dimension in facilitating knowledge sharing, (2) the ambivalent role of authoritarian leadership as both an obstacle and a driver of knowledge exchange efficiency, (3) technological literacy inequality as a critical moderator, and (4) the dynamics of knowledge hoarding in hierarchical organizations. Results: The analysis shows that 65% of the studies are concentrated on the corporate sector, while NGO and public service contexts account for only 12%. The main limitations lie in the methodological heterogeneity of the reviewed studies (65% quantitative, 28% qualitative, 7% mixed) and geographical bias (82% of studies from Asia and Europe). Novelty: Nevertheless, the synthesis of findings reveals a pattern that an organizational culture based on psychological safety and a non-monetary incentive system increases the intensity of knowledge sharing by 40%. This study recommends an integrative framework that combines Resource-Based View and Social Exchange theories for future studies.

Abstract

Objective: The phenomenon of impulsive buying often occurs in modern social life, especially as a response to social exclusion. Those who are excluded tend to adopt impulsive consumption behavior as a strategy to gain a sense of belonging and improve social relationships. In addition, the rapid development of online shopping platforms further strengthens this tendency. Therefore, it is important to understand the internal mechanisms that connect the two. Method: This study used SPSS 25.0 and WarpPLS 5.0 to analyze data from 385 respondents collected through questionnaires. Results: The focus of this study is to explore the internal mechanisms between social exclusion and impulsive buying behavior, with the following results: (1) Social exclusion has a positive correlation with impulsive buying behavior. (2) Relative deprivation acts as a mediator in the relationship between social exclusion and impulsive buying behavior. (3) The need to belong also functions as a mediator in the relationship. (4) Self-control acts as a moderator in the relationship between social exclusion and impulsive buying behavior. Novelty: The conclusion in this study aims to clarify the internal mechanism of impulsive buying behavior and provide recommendations for students to improve their self-control.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to identify the factors that are catalysts for the formation of entrepreneurial intentions in students of SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan, with a focus on the influence of family economic education and peer groups through the mediation of economic literacy. Method: The research method used is quantitative with an explanatory approach. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), and referring to the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Results: The results of the study indicate that family economic education does not have a significant direct effect on entrepreneurial intentions, but has a positive and significant effect on students' economic literacy. Meanwhile, peer groups have been shown to have a positive and significant effect on economic literacy and entrepreneurial intentions. Economic literacy also has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions, and mediates the relationship between family economic education and peer groups with entrepreneurial intentions. Novelty: These findings emphasize the important role of economic literacy as a link between the social environment and family in forming entrepreneurial intentions among adolescents. Therefore, increasing economic literacy at the secondary education level is a strategic key in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of the younger generation.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine how key components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including access to funding, government programs and support, physical infrastructure, and entrepreneurship education, influence students’ entrepreneurial intentions. The research aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4.4, which focuses on enhancing skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship among youth. Method: A quantitative approach was employed in this research. The subjects of this research are undergraduate students from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts of the Economics Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, State University of Surabaya, with a sample of 125 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of WarpPLS software. Results: The results demonstrate that all four ecosystem components have a significant and positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurship education and training exerting the strongest influence. These findings validate the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by linking ecosystem factors with key psychological determinants such as attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in its contextual focus on pre-service economics teachers as future agents of entrepreneurial education and in its contribution to SDG oriented entrepreneurship policy and curriculum development in higher education.
