Abstract

The concept of multidisciplinary education in Islamic culture is rooted in the teachings of the Qur'an which emphasizes the balance between religious knowledge and worldly knowledge. In the history of Islamic civilization, this approach has produced scientists who have mastered various fields of science, such as Ibn Sina, Al-Farabi, and Al-Kindi. This article explores the concept of multidisciplinary education from the perspective of the Qur'an and how it is applied in classical Islamic culture and its relevance in the world of modern education. With a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study examines the verses of the Qur'an that support the integration of science and an analysis of the practice of Islamic education in history. The results of the study show that multidisciplinary education in Islam is not only relevant to building an advanced civilization, but is also able to answer the challenges of the times while adhering to Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategy and implementation of Islamic character education at the Junior High School (SMP) level in facing the challenges of the digital era. Using a qualitative approach through a case study method, this study analyzes the school's efforts to synergize Islamic character values with digital culture that is now part of students' daily lives. The results of the study indicate that the transformation of Islamic character education has been carried out through various strategies, such as the integration of Islamic values in digital media, strengthening Islamic-themed digital literacy, teacher training, and collaboration between schools and parents. However, there are still obstacles such as the gap in teachers' digital competence and unequal access to technology. This study emphasizes the importance of making the digital era an opportunity, not a threat, in forming students' contextual and relevant Islamic character. These findings are expected to provide practical contributions to the development of an integrative and adaptive Islamic character education model.

Abstract

The talaqqi method is a traditional approach typical of Islamic boarding schools in learning turats books that emphasizes direct relations between kiai and students. However, developments in the era, especially in the digital era, demand innovation so that this method remains relevant for the millennial generation of students. This study aims to identify innovations in the talaqqi method, assess its effectiveness in improving understanding of yellow books, and formulate a digital-humanistic learning model that maintains classical values but is technology-based. With a qualitative approach and multi-case studies in several Islamic boarding schools, data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that innovation through digital media, e-learning, and interactive approaches can improve the competence of students and expand the preservation of turats. This transformation does not eliminate the essence of talaqqi, but rather contextualizes its values in a more modern and inclusive form. Thus, Islamic boarding schools can play a strategic role as preservers of Islamic heritage as well as agents of change in contemporary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality (AR) technology in teaching Islamic history to millennial generation students. The background of the study is based on the low interest and involvement of students in teaching Islamic history delivered conventionally. Using a quantitative approach through a quasi-experimental design, students were divided into two groups: the experimental group used AR media, while the control group used traditional learning methods. Data were collected through comprehension tests, learning motivation questionnaires, and observations of student involvement. The results showed that the use of AR significantly improved students' cognitive understanding, motivation, and involvement in the learning process. AR allows visualization of historical events in three dimensions and interactively, making learning more contextual, interesting, and enjoyable. This study concludes that AR is an effective learning medium for teaching Islamic history in the digital era. These findings are expected to be a reference for educators in designing innovative technology-based learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a story-based moral learning module as an innovation in strengthening students' character. The background of this study is based on the weak implementation of character education which tends to be normative and non-contextual. The story-based module is designed to touch the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students through narratives that are relevant to their lives. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) model of Borg & Gall, with stages of needs analysis, planning, development, expert validation, revision, limited trials, and evaluation of effectiveness through a quasi-experimental approach. The results of the study showed that the use of story-based modules significantly improved students' understanding and internalization of moral values, such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy. This module is also able to build students' emotional involvement and create a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. These findings strengthen the theory that the narrative approach can be an effective strategy in character learning. Thus, this module has great potential to be widely replicated in the context of character education at various school levels.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the practice and design an innovative model of multicultural Islamic education in an effort to strengthen the values of tolerance in secondary schools. In the context of a multicultural Indonesian society, Islamic education must be able to internalize the values of diversity and strengthen the character of tolerant and moderate students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-constructive study type, which is conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in several secondary schools. The results of the study indicate that a learning approach that integrates multicultural values into Islamic education can create an inclusive learning atmosphere, strengthen students' empathetic attitudes, and minimize symptoms of intolerance. The innovative model developed in this study includes the formulation of a contextual curriculum, active learning methods, the use of multicultural digital media, and the involvement of teachers as facilitators and role models of tolerant attitudes. With the support of an open school environment and inclusive policies, this model is considered effective and applicable in shaping the character of students who are able to live harmoniously in a diverse society.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic education in building ecological awareness among youth by examining how Islamic values are integrated into the curriculum, pedagogy, and educational strategies in Islamic institutions. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through literature studies and in-depth interviews with educators and students at Islamic schools and pesantren. The findings show that Islamic teachings contain strong ecological values such as khalifah (stewardship), amanah (responsibility), and ihsan (compassion), which, if effectively taught, can shape youth attitudes toward environmental preservation. However, these values are often not explicitly embedded in the formal curriculum, and the implementation is still limited. The study recommends integrating eco-theological education models into Islamic education to develop more holistic and spiritually grounded ecological consciousness. This approach provides both a moral foundation and practical strategies to support sustainability efforts among Muslim youth.
