Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the collaborative learning method, analyze the forms of cooperation among students, and identify active student interaction in Qur’an memorization activities. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with the main informants consisting of the principal, Qur’an memorization supervisors, and students enrolled in the tahfidz program. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which involves three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that: (1) the implementation of the collaborative method is carried out through strategies such as paired murojaah, musyafahah, tasmi’, and group discussions, which effectively enhance memorization consistency; (2) student cooperation is evident in activities such as listening to each other’s recitations, providing motivation, and assisting peers who face memorization difficulties; and (3) active student interaction is reflected in two-way communication, group involvement, and shared responsibility for memorization achievements. Overall, the collaborative learning method has proven to not only improve the quality of students’ memorization but also foster the values of ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), independence, and a spirit of mutual assistance in the tahfidz education process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of students at MTs Nurul Khoiroh regarding the importance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a provision for living life, as well as to identify the factors influencing the formation of those perceptions. Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character, morality, and spiritual values amid the challenges of globalization and the moral crisis faced by today’s youth. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the study are students from various grade levels at MTs Nurul Khoiroh. The results show that, in general, students have a positive perception of Islamic Religious Education. They believe that PAI is important not only for cognitive development but also as a moral and behavioral guide for living an Islamic way of life. However, some students stated that the learning process tends to be too theoretical and lacks practical relevance to real-life situations. Factors influencing students’ perceptions include internal factors such as family background, personal spiritual experiences, and interest in religious studies. External factors include teaching methods, the religious environment at school, and the relevance of the material to students’ daily lives. This study concludes that a positive perception of PAI can be cultivated through contextual teaching approaches that engage both the emotional and social aspects of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Lubabul Hadits study as a medium for religious development among the congregation of Majelis Ta’lim Nurul Dholam at Mushola Nurul Dholam, Sidoluhur Village, Godean District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the ustadz as the study instructor, members of the majelis ta’lim congregation, and mushola administrators selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, using source and technique triangulation to ensure data validity. The results showed that the implementation of the Lubabul Hadits study was carried out routinely twice a week during the month of Ramadan using traditional pesantren learning methods, namely reading the text, translating, and explaining the hadith contextually. The study received positive responses from the congregation because the material was easy to understand and relevant to daily life. In addition to improving religious understanding and worship motivation among the congregation, the study activities also played a role in strengthening social and spiritual relationships within the community. This study contributes to the development of community-based Islamic nonformal education models through contextual kitab learning traditions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze an effective guidance and counseling (BK) administrative management model in improving the quality of school services. Guidance and counseling administration is an important component in supporting the implementation of counseling services in schools because it functions as a system for organizing, documenting, managing, and evaluating various counseling activities. Effective administrative management enables counseling services to be implemented in a structured, systematic, and accountable manner, thereby contributing to the achievement of educational goals and the development of students’ personal, social, academic, and career competencies. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach. The study was conducted at MA Terpadu Daar Al Hikmah Varia Agung, Seputih Mataram. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary informant in this study was the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, who provided information regarding the implementation of BK administrative management and its role in supporting school services. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings indicate that an effective BK administrative management model plays a significant role in improving the quality of school services through several key components. These components include systematic planning, organized record management, accurate student data collection, proper documentation of counseling activities, coordination among school stakeholders, and continuous monitoring and evaluation of counseling programs. The implementation of these components helps ensure that counseling services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with students’ needs. Furthermore, well-managed administration facilitates decision-making processes, enhances communication among educational personnel, and supports the achievement of educational objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Hadrah art as a medium for religious character education in the era of modernization, using the Hadrah Community of Talang Kedondong in Palembang as a case study. Religious character education is crucial in shaping a young generation that is devout and of noble character; however, it faces serious challenges due to modernization and the development of digital technology, which are shifting the younger generation’s interest away from traditional arts. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the community founder, administrators, members, and the surrounding community, as well as documentation. The results indicate that Hadrah art remains viable and functions as a medium for religious character education through regular practice, its social and religious roles within the community, and its adaptation to modernization without abandoning traditional values. Supporting factors include community support, a sense of family, and religious values, while inhibiting factors include a lack of interest among the younger generation, the influence of gadgets, and unstable member commitment. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the concept of religious character education into the analysis of the existence of Hadrah art.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital media use on early childhood language development. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining various scientific journals, articles, and books related to digital media in early childhood learning. Data were analyzed qualitatively through identification, classification, and interpretation of relevant findings concerning the positive and negative impacts of digital media on children’s language development. The findings indicate that appropriate and supervised digital media use can improve children’s vocabulary, listening skills, communication abilities, and learning motivation through interactive audio-visual content. However, excessive use without parental supervision may reduce social interaction, increase gadget dependency, and hinder language and emotional development. The novelty of this study lies in its emphasis on the balance between the educational benefits and risks of digital media exposure in early childhood language acquisition. The study implies that parents and educators play an essential role in selecting educational content and regulating screen time to optimize children’s language development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe visual literacy strategies through picture books in improving early childhood reading skills. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers and children aged 5–6 years at an Early Childhood Education institution. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings revealed that picture books effectively increased children’s reading interest, letter recognition ability, vocabulary comprehension, and communication skills. Teachers implemented shared reading, picture observation, and question-and-answer strategies to create interactive and enjoyable learning activities. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of visual literacy strategies through interactive picture books to support children’s early reading development in classroom learning activities. The study implies that picture books can become effective literacy media for developing language skills and active participation among early childhood learners.

Abstract

Leadership transformation in Islamic educational management is a crucial phenomenon in the digital era, requiring a paradigm shift from traditional leadership models to adaptive and visionary approaches. This article aims to describe the essence of leadership from an Islamic perspective, identify leadership challenges in the digital era, and formulate innovative strategies to improve the quality of Islamic education. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study conducted at MA Al-Khoirot Putri. Data were collected through an analysis of Islamic educational management literature contextualized with observations of leadership dynamics within the institution. The findings reveal that the essence of Islamic leadership lies in trustworthiness (amanah) and service, emphasizing exemplary conduct (uswah) and influence. In the digital era, leadership at MA Al-Khoirot Putri faces significant challenges, including gaps in technological literacy, differences in digital culture across generations, and the necessity of maintaining ethical technology utilization in accordance with Sharia values. Effective strategies that can be implemented include developing a digital mindset, strengthening technological competencies through collaborative training, and adopting a participatory leadership style tailored to the needs of the team. In conclusion, the integration of prophetic values and advancements in information technology serves as a key factor for leaders at MA Al-Khoirot Putri in producing competent graduates without compromising their religious identity.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the challenges of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in addressing the characteristics of Generation Alpha, who are considered digital natives a term referring to a generation born and raised in the digital era. On the one hand, technology offers learning effectiveness; on the other hand, it poses risks to the erosion of character and moral values. This study aims to analyze the challenges of PAI learning for Generation Alpha and to formulate a development model through the perspective of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy. The method used is qualitative with a library research approach, in which the primary data source refers to the book Karya Ki Hadjar Dewantara, Bagian Pertama: Pendidikan. The findings reveal that Dewantara’s concept of “Kodrat Zaman” legitimizes the use of technology, while “Kodrat Alam” and the “Among System” function as moral filters and character-guidance frameworks. The 3N strategy (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) is proposed as an operational model in PAI technology, enabling students to shift from passive digital consumers to creative producers of da’wah content. The study concludes that the integration of PAI technology from Dewantara’s perspective is capable of creating adaptive learning while remaining rooted in the cultivation of noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic approach in contemporary Islamic education management through the integration of Islamic values and modern management principles. The method used is library research with content analysis of relevant and up-to-date primary and secondary sources. The findings indicate that the strategic approach in Islamic education management encompasses four main dimensions: itqan-based planning, syura-based organizing, amanah-based implementation, and tawazun-based evaluation. The integration of Islamic values and modern management produces a governance model that is both effective and spiritually meaningful. This study concludes that Islamic educational institutions adopting an integrative strategic approach prove to be more adaptive and competitive in the contemporary era.
