Abstract

The rapid growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the fast-food industry has raised concerns about the environmental impact, particularly regarding waste generation and its potential to pollute water sources. This research conducted in the Sidoarjo area aimed to identify the influence of MSME fast-food waste on water quality parameters, including Temperature, Turbidity, TDS, TSS, pH, DO, COD, Nitrate, Heavy Metal Cd, Total Coliform, and E-Coli. The study employed the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method, aided by Super Decision software version 2.10, to rank the most influential water quality criteria and prioritize alternative strategies to mitigate environmental issues. The results highlight crucial water quality parameters affected by MSME fast-food waste and present actionable insights for minimizing environmental impacts and safeguarding human health and the ecosystem. Highlights: Significant Environmental Impact: The rapid growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the fast-food industry poses a significant environmental impact due to the waste generated during the production process. Water Quality Parameters: The study focuses on analyzing various water quality parameters affected by MSME fast-food waste, including Temperature, Turbidity, TDS, TSS, pH, DO, COD, Nitrate, Heavy Metal Cd, Total Coliform, and E-Coli. ANP Method for Mitigation: To address the environmental challenges posed by fast-food MSME waste, the research employs the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method, supported by Super Decision software version 2.10, to prioritize effective and sustainable alternatives for minimizing environmental pollution. Keywords: MSME, fast-food waste, water quality, environmental issues, ANP method

Abstract

This study will look at the effect of acupuncture at LI4 and SP6 points on postpartum SC pain. The research design is a quasi experimental clinical non-equivalent pre-post test control group design. The total sample is 60 respondents consisting of the intervention and control groups. The instrument used was the PNRS pain scale by measuring the level of pain before and after the intervention was given. Bivariate analysis using Independent Sample t-Test. The results of the study stated that the average pain intensity score before acupuncture intervention using PNRS there was a decrease after acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 after acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 for 30 minutes, analysis p value 0.00 <0.05. Conclusion There is a significant effect after being given acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 on reducing pain intensity in postpartum SC. Highlights: The study examines the effect of acupuncture on postpartum SC pain using a quasi-experimental design with intervention and control groups (n=60). Acupuncture at LI4 and SP6 points significantly reduces pain intensity in postpartum SC, as measured by the PNRS pain scale. Bivariate analysis (Independent Sample t-Test) shows a significant decrease in pain intensity after 30 minutes of acupuncture intervention at LI4 and SP6 points. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of rip currents on abrasion at Kota Bani Beach, North Bengkulu Regency. Through direct field measurements of current velocity, wave height, beach slope, and drone photo visualization, we classify Kota Bani Beach as a steep shoreline with up to 18° slope. Significantly, the eroded zone experiences the highest rip current occurrence, featuring current velocities of 1.9 m/s and wave heights of 1.72 m. Our findings underscore the influence of rip currents on beach abrasion, with the eroded zone exhibiting a pronounced susceptibility to rip current occurrence compared to the non-eroded zone. This research highlights the critical role of rip currents in coastal erosion processes, offering valuable insights for coastal management and mitigation strategies. Highlight: Rip Current Impact: Investigating the influence of rip currents on abrasion at Kota Bani Beach reveals a significant connection between these currents and shoreline erosion. Erosion Hotspot: The eroded zone experiences the highest rip current occurrence, characterized by notable current velocities (1.9 m/s) and wave heights (1.72 m). Management Insights: This study underscores the critical role of rip currents in driving coastal erosion, providing essential insights for developing effective coastal management and mitigation strategies.
