Abstract

This article examines KHR's Da'wah Strategy. As'ad Syamsul Arifin in Conquering Rogues in Situbondo Regency. As in general, "black" circles or what are usually called bromocorah, bastards, bandits and so on, are almost always looked down upon. The "bad" stigma that is built up based on their behavior can at least be said to be far from good or positive things. Kiai Sukorejo saw this as an opportunity that he could use to broadcast the Islamic boarding school and fight to defend the country at that time. This research is library research which in terms of the type of data sought is also said to be qualitative research. Library research is a series of activities related to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes and managing research materials. The da'wah strategy used by Kiai As'ad in conquering the bastards is the Tilawah Strategy (communication strategy), Tazkiyyah Strategy (cleaning attitude and behavior strategy), and Ta'lim strategy (Education Strategy)

Abstract

Da’wah activism is now widely manifested through social media. Social media is considered the most effective platform to reach a global audience, with YouTube being one of the primary platforms. Currently, YouTube is often utilized to disseminate radical da’wah messages. In this context, a da’i plays a crucial role in countering the spread of radical ideologies circulating on social media. With a relaxed preaching style, Habib Husein Ja’far al-Hadar promotes a friendly and moderate interpretation of Islam through his da’wah content, Log In. This content serves as a solution to bridging interfaith tensions in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The data analysis uses Stuart Hall's reception analysis framework. The results reveal that Muslim youth fully accept the digital da’wah messages of Habib Ja’far in Log In content, aligning with the intended meaning of the message creator. They are positioned in the Dominant Hegemonic reception category. In contrast, non-Muslim youth, particularly from the GPIB Immanuel Bondowoso Youth Movement (GP), occupy the Oppositional Position, entirely rejecting Habib Ja’far's da’wah messages in the Log In content. They interpret Log In as a platform aimed at promoting Islamization.

Abstract

Technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including Islamic dawah. This article explores the integration of technology, especially social media and multimedia content, in efforts to improve accessibility and effectiveness of dawah. With the increasing number of internet and social media users, these platforms offer great opportunities for da’is to reach a wider and more diverse audience. The utilization of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube enables the delivery of Islamic messages quickly and interactively. Features such as comments, live streaming, and content sharing strengthen the engagement between da’is and the audience, creating a more dynamic and responsive dialogue. In addition, multimedia content such as video lectures, worship tutorials, and documentaries about Islamic history can attract the attention of young audiences, especially Gen Z, who are more familiar with digital formats. This research uses the netnography method with a case study approach. This research also highlights the importance of measuring the effectiveness of dawah through data analytics, which allows for the adjustment of strategies based on audience responses. The included case study demonstrates how Gus Iqdam and the Management of Majelis Ta’lim Sabilu_Taubah successfully integrated technology to expand their reach and increase the impact of their dawah. In conclusion, the integration of technology in dawah is an important step to address the challenges of the modern era and ensure that Islamic messages can be accessed and understood by a wide audience. Da’is are expected to continue to adopt and utilize technology to deliver dawah in a more relevant and effective manner.
