Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving biosaka and vermicompost on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants (Capsicum frutescens L). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Borobudur University, East Jakarta from June to November 2023. This study used a Factorial Randomized Group Design, with two factors, namely: factor of biosaka 0 ml, biosaka 2 ml, biosaka 4 ml, and factor of vermicompost 0 grams, vermicompost 25 grams, vermicompost 50 grams, vermicompost 75 grams. This study measured 5 parameters: plant height, stem diameter, number of fruits, fruit weight, and root length. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) data showed that the interaction effect of giving biosaka and vermicompost on the growth and production of cayenne pepper plants showed a real difference (Significant) at the age of 2 weeks after planting. However, it was insignificant at the age of 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks, and 14 weeks. It is suspected that plants still have sufficient food reserves at the beginning of the planting period. This food reserve is contained in the endosperm, and gets additional nutrients from the soil that has been mixed with vermicompost as a nutrient enhancer.

Abstract

In this study, the research aimed to determine the optimal combination of fermentation duration and material dosage for making turi liquid organic fertilizer. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Borobudur University, and further tested at the Laboratory of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Bogor Agricultural Institute. The research compared different combinations of fermentation duration and material dosage using five parameters: C-Organic, pH, N, P, and K. The results showed that the best combination was a fermentation time of 7 days with a 1:1 material dosage of turi leaf to brown sugar. This combination had a higher organic content compared to a fermentation time of 7 days with a 2:1 material dosage. Additionally, a fermentation time of 10 days with a 2:1 material dosage had a higher organic matter content compared to a 1:1 material dosage. Overall, a fermentation time of 7 days and a 1:1 material dosage were found to be the best for making turi leaf organic fertilizer

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of media and clones on the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Borobudur University in September-November 2022. This research used Factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK), the first factor was 4 kinds of planting media (soil: compost: husk, soil: compost: sand, soil: compost: husk: cocopeat, soil: compost: sand: cocopeat) and the second factor was two cocoa clones (Sulawesi 1 and Sulawesi 2). The data obtained will be further tested using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction effect of planting media and cocoa clones on the number of leaves and stem diameter at the age of 12 weeks after planting with the best treatment M1S2. In planting media there is a significant effect on plant height 6, 10 weeks after planting with the best treatment M4, number of leaves 4 weeks after planting with the best treatment M4, stem diameter 4 weeks after planting with the best treatment M4. In cocoa clones there is no significant effect at various ages, but tend to be highest in Sulawesi 1 clone in plant height, number of leaves and stem wet weight while in Sulawesi 2 clone tend to be highest in parameters of stem diameter, root length and root wet weight

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of price policy variables, product quality and location on consumer decisions in purchasing hydroponic vegetables at KWT Tamara 09, Ciketingudik Village, Bantargebang District, Bekasi City. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative with a total of 75 respondents. The variables used in this research are independent variables consisting of price policy, product quality and place, while the dependent variable is purchasing decisions. The results of the research show that: 1. The independent variables, namely price policy, product quality and place, have a simultaneous influence on consumer decisions in purchasing hydroponics at KWT Tamara 09, 2. The price policy variable has a significant and positive partial influence on consumer decisions in purchasing hydroponic vegetables at KWT Tamara 09, 3. The product quality variable has a significant and positive partial influence on consumer decisions in purchasing hydroponic vegetables at KWT Tamara 09, 4. The place variable has a significant and positive partial influence on consumer decisions in purchasing hydroponic vegetables at KWT Tamara 09

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of applying goat organic fertilizer and NASA POC to pakcoy plants that have been carried out in the experimental garden of the faculty of agriculture, Borobudur university which began in May to July 2023. This study used factorial randomized group design (RAK) with two factors and repeated 3 times. The first factor is manure (K) at the level of 100 g, 150g, and 200g. The second factor is NASA POC (P) at the level of 5 ml / l, 6 ml / l, and 7 ml / l. The data were analyzed using the F test and the F test. Data were analyzed using F test and stepwise further test with four (4) testing parameters: Plant height,  number of leaves, plant weight, and root length. The results of the study were analyzed using SPSS Version 24 with the conclusion that the interaction between goat manure and (POC) Nasa had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and root length. Goat manure had a significant effect at the age of 2, 3, 4, and 5 weeks after planting on plant height and number of leaves as well as on wet weight parameters and root length which showed a significant difference at the age of 5 weeks after planting. The best treatment was shown at a dose of 200 g (K3). POC Nasa had a significant effect at the age of 3, 4, and 5 weeks after planting on plant height and number of leaves with the best treatment results at a dose of POC Nasa 5 ml/l (P3)

Abstract

RPTRA Rawa Jaya is in Rawa Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District-East Jakarta. Processing cayenne pepper into Boncara Raja allows the availability of quality food ingredients to be maintained. Boncara Raja, in addition to extending the shelf life of chili, this product also supports increasing consumption needs. SWOT analysis also helps identify that the main strength of the Boncara Raja product is the high demand for chili in East Jakarta, which is driven by the culture of consuming spicy food. In addition, the success of RPTRA Rawa Jaya in cultivating Rawita chili, with its resistance to extreme weather, gives the impression that this commodity has potential. On the other hand, challenges also arise such as dependence on the quality of the harvest and limited marketing capacity. The data collection method in this study uses primary data with a qualitative approach. Based on the SWOT analysis, the Boncara Raja product has a main strength in the use of Rawita chili from its own cultivation, which reduces dependence on external supplies, but this product still faces limitations in production capacity. On the other hand, Boncara Raja still has an opportunity, namely the taste of Boncabe suits the taste and consumer segment who like spicy and practical food, but Boncara Raja still must meet consumer demands for halal labels which affect Boncara Raja products to be able to follow this demand.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the percentage of germination and the effect of planting media in bamboo containers on the growth of Mucuna bracteata seedlings. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Borobudur University in June 2024 for 15 days after planting. This research used a descriptive method with treatment comparing top soil planting media with cow dung compost on the growth of Mucuna bracteate seedlings in bamboo containers. This research uses planting media in the form of top soil and cow dung compost. The results of this research show that seed germination is 70% and growth in height (4.57 cm), stem diameter (2.43 mm) and number of leaves (4.28 pieces) on cow dung compost media.
