Schoulid | Indonesian Journal of School Counseling is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes research articles, theoretical studies, and program applications in the fields of education, counseling, social sciences, and the humanities. The journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice that support the academic, career, social-emotional, and holistic development of individuals. It also welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that bridge education, counseling, social sciences, humanities, and related fields. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to: 1. Education and Counseling: school and community counseling services, career counseling, academic support, social-emotional and multicultural development, counseling approaches and models, and the integration of technology in counseling practices. 2. Social Sciences and Humanities: studies addressing social, cultural, legal, and community issues, including linguistics, economics, management, and business within the context of education, student development, and counseling interventions. 3. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi nilai-nilai afektif dalam Pelatihan Kader Dasar Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah terhadap pembinaan kepribadian guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Fokus utama penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi bagaimana nilai-nilai afektif yang ditanamkan melalui berbagai kegiatan pelatihan mendukung pembentukan karakter guru PAI sesuai dengan Permendiknas 2007. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, yang bertujuan untuk memahami pengalaman peserta secara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai afektif ditanamkan melalui kegiatan seperti salat berjamaah, pembiasaan membaca doa sebelum makan, pemberian materi akademik dan afektif, diskusi interaktif, evaluasi pembelajaran, serta pembentukan kelompok belajar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mematangkan peserta menjadi insan akademis yang sejalan dengan kepribadian guru PAI, yakni jujur, tegas, berperikemanusiaan, bertakwa, berakhlak mulia, dan menjadi teladan bagi peserta didik serta masyarakat. Studi ini berkontribusi dengan menunjukkan bahwa Pelatihan Kader Dasar tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penguatan nilai keislaman, tetapi juga menjadi sarana strategis dalam membentuk karakter guru PAI yang ideal.

Abstract

Grief is an inevitable part of the experience of losing a loved one, especially during adolescence. Research proves that grief is closely related to the level of resilience.  Individuals who have low resilience will have difficulty adapting to situations after being left by a loved one, thus having a negative impact on adolescents' lives. This study reports the findings of a study that used an A-B-A single case research design to analyze the effect of ego state counseling to enhance resilience with adolescent grief symptoms. Participants consisted of three junior high school students (N=3) who experienced grief symptoms and low levels of resilience. The ego state therapy intervention was delivered in 4 sessions. The treatment focused on emotional release, resolution, empowering, Commitment to change. Self-report data was collected at pre-, during, and post-ESC time points. Based on the results of Visual Analysis and statistical analysis using the Adolescent Resilience Scale (ARS) and Prolonged Grief Disorder (PG-13-Revised) instruments, it was revealed that students who participated in ego state counseling experienced a significant decrease in sadness and an increase in resilience during the counseling process and after four weeks post-ESC. This evidence shows ego state counseling in improving resilience in adolescents with grief. For further research, it is possible to expand the research subjects with a variety of different backgrounds

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contemporary reality of Islam in Indonesia, focusing on the challenges of radicalization and the importance of religious moderation, as well as efforts to maintain inter-religious and ethnic harmony in North Sumatra. The research also explores the ethnic and religious diversity of the province, which is inhabited by various tribes such as Malay, Minangkabau, Acehnese, Batak and others. In facing the challenges of radicalization and extremism, religious moderation is considered the right solution. Moderate Islam, which emphasizes tolerance, peace and respect for differences, is an important foundation for preventing violence in the name of religion. This research uses a literature review method with a deductive approach. The data used is secondary literature, which includes studies on ethnic diversity, religion, and the phenomenon of radicalization in North Sumatra. The results show that religious moderation can be an effective strategy to strengthen social integration and reduce the potential for sectarian conflict in the area. The contribution of this research is to provide new insights into the importance of religious moderation in the Indonesian context, especially in North Sumatra, as well as its impact in overcoming the challenges of radicalization. This research is expected to provide policy recommendations to strengthen interfaith harmony in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of multicultural values in the learning process at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan, with the main objective of fostering tolerance among students who come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. The main issue faced is ethnic differences that have the potential to trigger social conflict, thus hindering the creation of a harmonious learning environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Participants in this study included students, teachers, and principals. The results showed that the implementation of multicultural values through an inclusive curriculum, extracurricular activities, and planned social interactions can increase students' understanding of the importance of tolerance, appreciation of diversity, and living together in cultural differences. Overall, the integration of multicultural values at SMA 4 Padangsidimpuan has proven effective in building a culture of tolerance among students, although there are still challenges, such as limited understanding of multiculturalism among some students. The study recommends the need for additional training for educators and adjustments to the curriculum to place greater emphasis on teaching multiculturalism comprehensively. In addition, this study contributes to the development of future research, especially in examining more deeply how multicultural learning strategies can be implemented in schools with more diverse ethnic backgrounds and exploring the impact on social and academic relationships among students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of multicultural education at SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur, focusing on the methods used in teaching diversity values and the challenges faced in the existing social context. Multicultural education in Indonesia aims to increase respect for cultural, ethnic, religious and racial differences in a heterogeneous society. This research used a case study approach with qualitative methods, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation analysis. The interview technique involved principals, teachers and students to explore their perceptions of the implementation of multicultural education, while observation focused on teaching and learning and extracurricular activities related to diversity. The results showed that multicultural education at SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur has been implemented through teaching diversity values in the Civic Education (PPKn) subject and extracurricular activities that support cultural diversity. However, significant challenges are found in students' understanding of the importance of diversity, especially in responding to social issues that develop in the community. Factors that support the implementation of multicultural education in this school include the commitment of school management, parents' participation and support from the government. This research makes a new contribution by deeply exploring the implementation of multicultural education at the senior high school level in an area that is less explored in the multicultural education literature, and offers recommendations to improve students' understanding of diversity in their daily lives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi pendidikan multikulturalisme di SMA Negeri 1 Batang Toru, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Sumatera Utara, serta mengevaluasi tantangan dan peluangnya dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar inklusif yang menghargai keberagaman agama, budaya, dan etnis. Penelitian ini relevan dengan kebutuhan sosial saat ini untuk meningkatkan harmoni di lingkungan pendidikan yang beragam. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam (dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa), observasi langsung di kelas, dan analisis dokumen terkait keberagaman siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan makna dalam praktik pendidikan multikultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah berhasil menerapkan pendidikan multikulturalisme melalui pengajaran yang menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi, kegiatan lintas budaya, dan interaksi positif antar siswa. Salah satu bentuk keberhasilan adalah meningkatnya pemahaman siswa terhadap perbedaan budaya dan agama, seperti yang tercermin dalam kegiatan diskusi kelompok dan perayaan hari-hari besar lintas agama. Namun, tantangan yang ditemukan meliputi perbedaan pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep multikulturalisme dan keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung, yang memengaruhi konsistensi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan mencakup pelatihan guru, pengembangan kurikulum tematik, dan kerja sama dengan komunitas lokal untuk memperkuat program ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dengan menawarkan strategi untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan memberikan wawasan baru dalam implementasi pendidikan multikulturalisme di sekolah. Implikasinya mencakup pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan adaptif, serta peluang penelitian lanjutan untuk mengkaji keberlanjutan program multikultural di berbagai konteks pendidikan.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang efektif memerlukan inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar akuntansi dengan menerapkan metode flipped classroom dengan chaneel whatsapp untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi persamaan dasar akuntansi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) 4 Negeri Klaten, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Quasi Experimental Design. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 71 peserta didik dari kelas X Akuntansi 1 dan X Akuntansi 2. Proses analisis data uji menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji homogenitas. Uji prasyarat meliputi penghitung nilai rata-rata (mean), uji normalitas, dan uji homogenitas, sedangkan uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan paired sampel t-test. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, hasil pretetst nilai signifikansi pada uji one-sided adalah 0,007 dan uji two-sided adalah 0,014, keduanya lebih kecil dari tingkat signifikansi yang diterapkan sebesar 0,05. Ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar antara kelompok kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Selain itu, hasil posttest menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004 untuk uji one-sided dan 0,009 untuk uji two-sided, yang juga lebih kecil dari tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam hasil belajar antara kedua kelompok. Sehingga dengan menerapakan metode flipped classroom dengan channel whatsapp dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pendidikan multikulturalisme di MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan, sebuah sekolah yang berada di wilayah dengan keragaman budaya, agama, dan suku bangsa yang tinggi. Mengingat pentingnya pendidikan multikulturalisme dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi, saling menghargai, dan memperkuat persatuan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami implementasi pendidikan tersebut di tingkat madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, dan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan telah mengimplementasikan pendidikan multikulturalisme dengan memasukkan nilai-nilai keberagaman dalam kurikulum, menyelenggarakan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang melibatkan siswa dari berbagai latar belakang, serta menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang inklusif. Namun, tantangan dalam implementasi pendidikan ini juga ditemukan, seperti adanya perbedaan pemahaman di kalangan guru dan siswa mengenai nilai-nilai multikulturalisme. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan model pendidikan multikultural yang lebih efektif dan aplikatif, yang dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah-sekolah lain di Indonesia. Keterbaharuan penelitian ini terletak pada penekanan terhadap konteks lokal MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan dalam menghadapi dinamika multikulturalisme di era globalisasi.

Abstract

Media is the main factor that supports the success of learning. The use of monotonous media and limited lesson time makes learning less effective. This study aims to (1) Analyze the process of developing website-based media in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith class XI, (2) Test the feasibility of website-based media, and (3) Analyze the effectiveness of the media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The focus of this research is class XI MAS Nurul Hadina Patumbak consisting of 30 students. Data were collected using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the development of website-based media has successfully increased the effectiveness of learning Al-Qur'an Hadith with excellent validity from material experts, IT experts, and learning practitioners. Field trials showed the level of media effectiveness with an average percentage of 91.01%, which is included in the very good category.

Abstract

Globalization and the development of information and communication technology (ICT) have brought significant changes in the world of education. However, in learning certain subjects such as Fiqh, there are still challenges in increasing student interest and understanding due to less varied teaching methods and limited attractive learning media. This study aims to develop learning media based on Android educational games that integrate the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach to increase student engagement and understanding in learning Fiqh. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires to measure the effectiveness of the developed media. The analysis was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively to assess aspects of student engagement, concept understanding, and learning experience. The results showed that the Android-based educational game developed was able to increase students' learning motivation and help them understand Fiqh material better. The application of the PBL approach in this game allows students to engage in active problem solving, thus improving critical thinking and problem solving skills. In addition, the integration of the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model in the design of learning media maximizes students' learning motivation.
