Abstract

Emotional behavioral problems affect the quality of life and development of children. Early detection is carried out periodically in health services, involving health workers and cadres. Early detection of emotional mental problems has not been optimally carried out in integrated health posts. Many cadres do not yet have the knowledge and skills. Integrated health posts are not yet equipped with valid and easy-to-use early detection instruments. Research has been conducted by the author on the Emotional Mental Problems Information System (Siempro), developed from the Emotional Behavior Problems Questionnaire of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. This information system was tested at one integrated health post in Surakarta, and can be used as a fast-accurate early detection instrument. As a novelty, this study conducted a wider scope experiment. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Siempro on cadre skills. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of primiparous adolescent mothers in achieving maternal roles. Adolescent motherhood presents unique challenges due to the immaturity and societal pressures these young mothers face. A qualitative study was conducted using in-depth interviews with 12 primiparous adolescent mothers in Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using deductive-inductive thematic analysis with Nvivo 12 software. Five main categories emerged: reasons for early marriage, feelings of first-time mothers, challenges of being a mother, coping strategies, and maternal role attainment. Key findings include cultural and economic reasons for early marriage, mixed emotions of joy and fear among first-time mothers, challenges like emotional stress and social isolation, coping strategies involving support systems and self-care, and the process of maternal identity formation. The study highlights the complex interplay of cultural, economic, and emotional factors influencing adolescent motherhood. Effective interventions should consider these factors to support adolescent mothers in their transition to motherhood. Adolescent mothers face multifaceted challenges that require tailored support systems to help them navigate motherhood and improve their overall quality of life.

Abstract

Community health centers are the primary healthcare facilities in Indonesia, but many of the services provided are still of poor quality. Service quality can be described by patient waiting times and unintegrated patient data. This is due to inadequate infrastructure to support services. Therefore, the government has issued a policy for community health centers to use a community health center management information system. The purpose of this study is to determine the perspectives of health workers in implementing a community health center management information system. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a centralized interview approach. The participants of this study were 14 health workers taken by purposive sampling. The location of this study was three community health centers in Bukittinggi City, namely the Nilam Sari Community Health Center, the Guguk Panjang Community Health Center, and the Tigo Baleh Community Health Center. This research instrument used an interview sheet and data were collected through semi-structured interviews with data analysis techniques through the use of thematic content analysis. The results of this study are described in two themes: the first theme of the information system facilitating work and improving the quality of services in community health centers and the second theme of obstacles to using the community health center information system consisting of infrastructure constraints such as network and application errors. Thus, it was concluded that the implementation of the community health center information system supported services at the community health center, but there were several obstacles during use, such as network and application errors. Therefore, the researchers hope that this research will be continued with the design of an adequate community health center management information system application by integrating other applications.

Abstract

Endometriosis is a common benign gynecological disease characterized by the ectopic growth of endometrial tissue. Its pathogenesis is influenced by complex genetic and epigenetic factors, making diagnosis and treatment challenging. This study aimed to identify molecular pathways and candidate genes associated with endometriosis using transcriptomic data. Three datasets (GSE7307, GSE23339, and GSE25628) were retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and analyzed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs). A total of 339 intersecting DEGs were obtained and subjected to Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses. The results indicated enrichment in biological processes related to epithelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis, cellular components associated with the lysosomal lumen and extracellular matrix, and molecular functions involving Wnt-activated receptor activity and low-density lipoprotein particle binding. Ten genes (TAGLN, C7, TCF21, GATA6, GPC3, FZD7, TCEAL2, KLF2, FMO1, and HOXC6) were identified as potential candidate biomarkers. These findings provide preliminary molecular insights into endometriosis and may support future experimental and clinical studies for biomarker development.

Abstract

Pharmacogenomics explores the impact of genetic differences on medication responsiveness. Drug absorption, affecting bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy, is controlled by genetic variations in transporters including P-gp and the SLC family. Genetic polymorphisms may alter plasma medication concentrations, affecting both safety and effectiveness. Understanding pharmacogenomics in drug absorption may encourage individualized therapy by modifying drug selection and dose according to genetic profiles. Despite implementation problems, pharmacogenomics offers potential for safer and more effective medications.
