Abstract

Background: The stunting rate in Indonesia in 2022 was 21.6%. I was reduced when compared to the SSGI data in 2021 of 24.4%. Stunting prevention is a much more effective step than stunting treatment itself. Prevention of stunting can be done by optimizing the role of mothers in the golden phase of child development. Stunting can be prevented by implementing infant and child feeding, which consists of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD), exclusive breastfeeding, and timely initiation of complementary feeding. Unfortunately, the achievement of this component of infant and child feeding practices is still far from the target. In 2022, the percentage of infants who received exclusive breastfeeding was 69.7%. Objective of this study is to analyze the risk factors for stunting based on the WHO Conceptual Framework on Childhood Stunting.. Methods: It was an analytic observational study using a case–control design, which examines the relationship between research factors or exposures and disease by comparing a case group (stunted children under five years of age) with a control group (children under five years of age with normal growth). Results: The results of the Chi-square test indicate a statistically significant association between exclusive breastfeeding and the occurrence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.04), no statistically significant association between breastfeeding for two years and the occurrence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.36), ignificant association between the timely provision of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) and the occurrence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.001). no statistically significant association between the appropriateness of infectious deasese history and the occurrence of stunting in children (p-value = 0.93). Conclusion: This study found that Exclusive breastfeeding and timely complementary feeding were significantly associated with stunting, while breastfeeding for two years and infectious disease history showed no significant association.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, as traditional educational institutions meant to be safe and supportive environments for character building and self-development, have also become places where bullying can occur. This situation highlights the need for serious attention and concrete action from various parties, including educational institutions, parents, communities, and the government, to prevent and address bullying issues both in boarding schools and the broader educational environment. Through a multidisciplinary approach, namely health, law, and psychology, this study aims to identify, analyze, and understand the phenomenon of bullying in boarding schools. This research a quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample comprises 156 individuals from three boarding schools in Jambi City: As’ad Boarding School, Ainul Yaqin Boarding School, and Darul Hikmah Boarding School. Samples were obtained using a simple random sampling technique. There is a correlation between bullying and mental health among students at the boarding schools in Jambi City in 2024. However, there is no correlation between bullying and emotional intelligence among these students. It is hoped that comprehensive anti-bullying programs can be developed and implemented, along with providing access to counseling and psychological support for students. Additionally, efforts should be made to create a positive environment and a more harmonious atmosphere to reduce the likelihood of bullying.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant global health burden, requiring not only adherence to treatment regimens but also robust psychological resilience for successful recovery. This study evaluated the efficacy of the Roni application, a novel technology-based intervention designed to enhance resilience among TB patients. Employing a quasi-experimental design, 60 TB patients were randomized into an intervention group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The intervention group utilized the Roni application for one month, while Patients in the control group received standard care. Resilience was assessed at baseline and post-intervention using the Brief Resilience Coping Scale (BRCS). Results demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in resilience scores among participants in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). By providing tailored educational resources, motivational support, and opportunities for emotional processing, the Roni application appears to enhance resilience in TB patients effectively. These findings align with theoretical frameworks of stress adaptation and self-efficacy. This study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the potential of technology-based interventions to address the psychosocial needs of TB patients and improve treatment outcomes. Future research should investigate the long-term sustainability of these effects and explore the generalizability of this intervention across diverse populations.

Abstract

Background : Quality improvement (QI) is a practice that hospitals use to improve efficiency, clinical outcomes, employee satisfaction, and patient safety. One of the QI practices is the implementation of lean principles. Lean is a set of methods intended to eliminate waste and increase process efficiency. Lean implementation can have a significant impact on operational efficiency and effectiveness. This research is aimed at analyzing services at the RS Naili DBS Outpatient Installation using lean principles. Method : Data collection was carried out through direct observation of the outpatient service process from arrival to receiving doctor consultation services. From the observations, visualization of the service process was carried out using big picture mapping and analysis of waiting time and waste was carried out using lean principles. Apart from that, in-depth interviews were conducted with selected informants, namely from within the hospital and patients as service recipients. Result : The results of the research showed that the outpatient waiting time from the time the patient contacted the registration officer until the doctor's service was completed was 1 hour 18 minutes 50 seconds. This time still exceeds the minimum service standard set by the government, namely 60 minutes. The results of observations regarding waste, found as many as 36 types of waste spread across the queuing process, registration, polyclinic waiting room and clinic room.

Abstract

The worldwide population of older people is rising rapidly, with projections suggesting that by 2050, persons aged 60 and over will represent 22% of the entire population. Age-related outcomes are significantly exacerbated by frailty, susceptibility, and an elevated risk of depression. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) has become a feasible therapeutic approach, integrating cognitive therapy with mindfulness techniques. This review systematically assesses the efficacy of MBCT in alleviating depression in the older population. This review adheres to PRISMA criteria. Seven databases (Medline, Scopus, ClinicalKey for Nursing, Ebsco, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Grey Literature) were examined from 2017 to 2022. Three keywords utilized were depression, elderly individuals, and MBCT. The quality of the studies was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute's (JBI) critical appraisal tool. Eleven studies were incorporated for the review. Research demonstrates that MBCT is advantageous in alleviating depression among the older population. This review indicates that MBCT is a potential alternative therapy for older individuals experiencing depression. It is imperative to emphasise that future research must demonstrate enhanced structural quality and require larger sample sizes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of personal hypertension management program education on self-efficacy in hypertension management. This research is a quasy experiment design with a non-equivalent control group design. The number of samples in this study was 30 respondents who were divided into two groups, namely 15 intervention group respondents and 15 control group respondents. Sample grouping in this study was carried out randomly for the experimental group and the control groupThe intervention group is respondents who are given personal hypertension management program education and the control group is respondents who are not given personal hypertension management program education. The data analysis used was the T-test (Independent Sample T-Test). Personal education was conducted for 3 weeks by providing hypertension management program personal education one session per week, for 15-20 minutes. The study found that most respondents (60%) had poor self-efficacy in the intervention group respondents before being given personal education based on a hypertension management program and most respondents (93.3%) had efficacy after being given personal education based on a hypertension management program. From the bivariate analysis results, there is a mean change in self-efficacy in intervention group respondents with the control group, where the mean difference value is 3.067. The T-test value is 2.579 with a p-value = 0.015 where the p-value ≤ 0.05, which means that there is an effect of personal education based on HMP on self-efficacy in respondents after being given personal education interventions based on a hypertension management program. The provision of personal education interventions based on a hypertension management program shows the results of the average change in the self-efficacy of respondents in the intervention group before and after being given personal education based on a hypertension management program and there is no average change in the self-efficacy of respondents in the control group who are not given personal education based on a hypertension management program
