Abstract

Teachers’ factors is one of the factors that influencing students’ learning outcomes in mathematics at secondary school level observed. However, there is therefore needs for more research attention to be drawn to teachers’ job performance using some affective factors among the factors. Hence, this study therefore to investigate the mathematics teacher’s affective factors as a panacea for determining senior secondary school teachers’ job performance in mathematics in Ogun state. A descriptive survey research design and 203 public Senior Secondary Schools in Ogun East Senatorial Zone (Ijebu and Remo Block) of Ogun state, Nigeria was adopted. A total of 571 public teachers teaching mathematics in SSS were selected which contained male teachers were 306 (53.42%) and female teachers were 266 (46.58%); the qualified teachers were 424 (74.26%) and less qualified teachers were 147 (25.74%) and the experienced teachers were 426 (74.61%) and less experienced teachers were 145 (25.39%). Four instruments were employed to collect data for this study. Linear Multiple Regression Analysis was adopted to test for four statement of hypotheses formulated at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed that the contribution of teachers’ stress management on senior secondary school mathematics teachers' job performance is little and significant (R2 = 0.023; F = 13.572; P < 0.05); Teacher’s stress management, Social abilities and teacher’s Motivation when combined together has little contribution on mathematics teachers’ job performance and significant (R2 = 0.039; F = 7.602; P < 0.05). It is therefore concluded that there is a statistically significant contribution of teachers’ stress management on senior secondary school mathematics teachers' job performance. One of the recommendations made is that Stakeholders should organize seminars and workshops and mandate mathematics teachers to attend at regular interval, to keep them abreast of modern trends in stress management healthy lifestyles and optimal performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and the dominance of Multiple Intelligence on student learning outcomes in educational psychology courses at the PGSD department of UNU Yogyakarta. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, this study involved 46 students using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring IQ variables, multiple intelligences, and learning outcomes. The results of the analysis using the Pearson correlation test show that there is a positive and significant relationship between IQ and learning outcomes, with a correlation value of 0.873 (87.3%), which indicates that the higher the IQ score, the higher the learning outcomes obtained by students. The normality test shows that the residual data meets the assumption of normality with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.126, which is greater than 0.05, indicating that the regression model used is valid. This study confirms that IQ serves as an important predictor of academic success, and an understanding of multiple intelligences can help in designing more effective learning strategies. The implications of this study show the importance of an inclusive educational approach, which considers different types of intelligence to support students' holistic development. This research is expected to provide insights for educators in creating learning environments that are more adaptive and responsive to students' needs.

Abstract

The declining interest and consistency in memorizing the Quran among younger generations pose a serious challenge amidst digital disruption and academic pressure. This study reflects on the experiences of participants in the One Day One Color (O.D.O.C) program, a Quranic memorization method based on daily targets and visualized progress, designed to foster discipline and measurable spiritual engagement. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews with participants who had completed the program, to explore the cognitive, affective, and spiritual impacts of this method. The findings indicate that O.D.O.C effectively facilitates the formation of long-term memory structures, enhances intrinsic motivation, and strengthens emotional connections with Qur’anic verses. Although there is a decline in memorization intensity after the program ends, most participants demonstrate continued effort by adjusting their rhythm, integrating alternative methods, and leveraging technology. Memorization also serves as a reflective tool, a reinforcement of religious identity, and a form of emotional therapy. In conclusion, the O.D.O.C method is not only technically relevant but also has a transformative impact on character and spiritual development. Its success is contingent upon post-program support, including community engagement, strategic flexibility, and adaptive digital systems. This study recommends O.D.O.C as a promising methodological innovation in contemporary Qur’anic education.

Abstract

Rongkop is a karst area that is prone to drought and difficult to access water. This causes a negative multiplier effect to various aspects, such as social, economic, and ecological. Several efforts have been planned but are constrained by the availability of funds. Therefore, there is a green waqf that focuses on financing environmentally friendly projects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation strategy of green waqf as an acceleration of environmentally friendly project funding by modifying the futuristic stages in the Green Waqf Framework book compiled by BWI and other institutions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The data analysis procedure adopts the Miles and Huberman model which starts from collection, reduction, presentation, data as well as conclusion and verification. The findings of the study revealed that Rongkop has a population with most Muslims, but almost the entire community does not know about green waqf. Therefore, the stages are designed starting from the preconditional stage to build awareness of green waqf. Consolidation stage to strengthen the elements and stakeholders involved. Next, the project development stage is through pilot projects and periodic impact measurements. Also, mainstreaming the stage by disseminating the results of the pilot project to various regions and institutions. With the implementation of green waqf, it is hoped that environmental issues and climate change in various regions can be addressed inclusively.

Abstract

Mulai 2017, pemerintah pusat memberlakukan kebijakan zonasi sekolah untuk mengatasi problem ketimpangan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Kebijakan zonasi sekolah diyakini pemerintah pusat mampu mewujudkan pemerataan kualitas pendidikan antar sekolah dan berkeadilan. Berangkat dari pandangan ideal tersebut, metode studi evaluasi kebijakan digunakan untuk menilai sejauhmana kebijakan zonasi sekolah mampu mencapai tujuannya, yaitu pemerataan kualitas pendidikan antar sekolah. Berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang lebih menyorot sekolah-sekolah negeri "˜favorit', studi ini memberikan fokus perhatian pada sekolah-sekolah "˜non-favorit' pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama di Kabupaten Sleman. Dalam proses evaluasi kebijakan, metode kuantitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk menilai kualitas input sekolah antara sebelum dan sesudah kebijakan zonasi sekolah diterapkan. Penelitin ini menggunakan data dokumen berupa nilai input siswa berbasis nilai akademik siswa pada waktu sebelum dan sesudah kebijakan zonasi sekolah diterapkan. Data dokumen ini kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahap seleksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Studi ini menemukan bahwa sekolah-sekolah yang menempati rangking 15 terbawah atau "˜non-favorit', dari sebelum dan sesudah kebijakan zonasi sekolah diterapkan, posisi distribusi input sekolah masih tidak berubah.Starting in 2017, the central government implemented a school zoning policy to address the problem of inequality in the quality of education in Indonesia. The government believes that the school zoning policy can realize an equal and equitable quality of education between schools. Departing from this ideal view, the policy evaluation study method is used to assess the extent to which school zoning policies are able to achieve their objectives, namely equal distribution of education quality between schools. In contrast to previous research, which focused more on 'favorite' state schools, this study focuses on 'non-favorite' schools at the junior high school level in Sleman Regency. In the policy evaluation process, descriptive quantitative methods are used to assess the quality of school input before and after the school zoning policy is implemented. This research uses document data in the form of student input scores based on students' academic scores before and after the school zoning policy was implemented. This document data is then analyzed using the stages of data selection, presentation, and conclusion. This study found for schools ranked in the bottom 15 'non-favorites' before and after the school zoning policy was implemented, the position of the school input distribution remained unchanged.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fikih di institusi pendidikan Muhammadiyah dengan latar belakang keagamaan siswa yang berbeda selalu menarik untuk dibicarakan dari dulu sampai sekarang, karena pembelajaran dengan kondisi tersebut selalu mengalami iklim yang dinamis dalam sarana prasarana, metode pembelajaran dan semua penunjang lainnya. Selain itu, ada juga sisi penting yang menjadi salah satu penentu keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran fikih. Salah satu hal yang penting itu adalah manajemen pembelajaran fikih. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan penelitian yang membahas tentang manajemen pembelajaran fikih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui pengelolaan pembelajaran fikih di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, (2) untuk mengetahui persamaan dan perbedaan pengelolaan pembelajaran fikih bagi siswa berlatar Muhammadiyah dan siswa berlatar belakang Nahdlatul Ulama di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan (3) untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala yang di hadapi dalam pembelajaran fikih di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan sistem studi deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sekolah tersebut sudah menerapkan  prinsip-prinsip manajemen pembelajaran, baik dari perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Pada prinsipnya manajemen yang ada di sekolah sudah digunakan sesuai dengan ketentuan Majelis Dikdsmen Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah.Learning fiqh in Muhammadiyah educational institutions with different religious backgrounds of students is always interesting to talk about from the past until now, because learning with these conditions always experiences a dynamic climate in infrastructure, learning methods and all other supports. In addition, there is also an important side that becomes one of the determinants of success in learning fiqh. One of the important things is the management of fiqh learning. Therefore, the author conducts research that discusses the management of learning fiqh. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the management of learning fiqh at Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan Junior High School, (2) to determine the similarities and differences in the management of learning fiqh for students with Muhammadiyah background and students with Nahdlatul Ulama background at Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan Junior High School, (3) to determine the obstacles faced in learning fiqh at Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan Junior High School. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive study system. The result of this research is that the school has implemented the principles of learning management, both from learning planning, learning implementation and learning evaluation. In principle, the management in the school has been used in accordance with the provisions of the Muhammadiyah Central Board of Education.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a violation of human rights and a form of discrimination that must be eradicated. In Islam, such acts are forbidden. If this violence repeatedly occurs, it can lead to serious consequences for the victim, who is often the wife. Therefore, perpetrators of violence must be given appropriate criminal sanctions that provide a deterrent effect and comply with applicable laws. Thus, judges need to be sensitive in analyzing, considering, and handing down verdicts. The focus of this research is to examine the positive law perspective regarding the prison sentence in Jember District Court Decision Number: 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr,- concerning domestic violence, as well as the Islamic criminal law perspective regarding the prison sentence in Jember District Court Decision Number: 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr,- concerning domestic violence. The research method used is normative-juridical, and the analysis employed involves both positive law and Islamic criminal law. The research findings show that Jember District Court Decision Number 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr is a form of Ultra Petita ruling. This means the judge imposed a sentence exceeding the maximum criminal threat outlined in Article 44 paragraph (4). Such a sentence is not justified as it contradicts the stipulated criminal threat, violating the principle of legality. Based on an analysis of Islamic Criminal Law, Jember District Court Decision Number 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr imposed a ta'zir sanction on the defendant for the crime of physical domestic violence. This sanction, related to individual liberty, is a 6-month prison sentence. Its primary aim is to safeguard public interest and protect every member of society from harm. Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga merupakan tindakan yang melanggar hak asasi manusia serta bentuk diskriminasi yang harus dihapuskan, dan di dalam islam tindakan tersebut dilarang. Apabila kekerasan ini berulang-ulang terjadi bisa menimbulkan dampak yang serius kepada korban yang notabene adalah istri. Maka, pelaku Kekerasan harus diberi sanksi pidana yang sesuai dan dapat memberikan efek jera serta sesuai dengan Undang-undang yang berlaku. Dengan demikian dibutuhkan kepekaan hakim dalam menganalisis, mempertimbangkan, dan menjatuhkan vonis. Fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah pandangan hukum positif terkait vonis penjara pada putusan pengadilan negeri jember Nomor: 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr,- tentang tindak pidana kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, serta pandangan hukum pidana islam terkait vonis penjara pada putusan pengadilan negeri jember Nomor: 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr,- tentang tindak pidana kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu normatif yuridis, dan analisis yang digunakan adalah hukum positif dan hukum pidana Islam. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa putusan pengadilan negeri jember Nomor 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr, merupakan bentuk putusan Ultra Petita dimana dalam penjatuhan pidana hakim melebihi dari batas maksimal ancaman pidana yang ditetapkan pasal 44 ayat (4). Penjatuhan pidana yang melebihi ancaman pidana tidak dibenarkan karena bertentangan dengan ancaman pidana yang dirumuskan (asas legalitas). Berdasarkan Analisis Hukum Pidana Islam Putusan Pengadilan Negeri Jember Nomor 598/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Jmr, sanksi yang diberikan kepada terdakwa jarimah kekerasan fisik dalam lingkup rumah tangga yakni sanksi ta’zir yang berkenaan dengan kemerdekaan berupa hukuman penjara selama 6 bulan,  yang pada prinsipnya mengacu pada menjaga kepentingan umum dan melindungi setiap anggota masyarakat dari kemudharatan.

Abstract

The concept of munasabah offers a holistic approach to understanding the values contained in Islamic education. The aim of this research is to analyze the conception of the munasabah of the Qur'an as a method of transforming the values of Islamic education using library methods. The results of the research show that the munasabah of the Qur'an is a strategic approach in transforming the values of Islamic education which are always relevant to the times. Through the relationship between verses, the concepts of monotheism, morals and worship can be systematically integrated into the Islamic education curriculum. This approach educates students not only intellectually, but also with strong Islamic character, so that they are able to implement the values contained in the Qur’an in their daily lives. Thus, the munasabah of the Qur'an makes Islamic education more holistic and applicable in forming a generation that has faith, has noble character, and contributes to society

Abstract

The development of a project-based MKWK learning model is based on the need to develop implementation guidelines, learning tools, and institutional integration of MKWK implementation. The learning process is also often carried out in the classroom, so it is not in line with the MBKM curriculum. The purpose of this study is to develop a project-based MKWK learning model to increase student lecture participation. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) research with the A.D.D.I.E. development model consisting of five stages; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation, but simplified as needed due to time constraints and other factors into three steps; (1) Analysis, (2) Development, and (3) Evaluation. Based on the results of statistical tests, there is a significant difference between the experimental target and the control target. Statistical tests were carried out using the SPSS program. The results show that the post-test gain for the experimental target was 84, and the average post-test for the control target was 76.3. Meanwhile, the T test obtained a value of 6.621 with a significance level of 0.000 lower than 0.025 (0.000 < 0.025), which indicates that Ho is rejected, the results obtained are the difference between the experimental target and the control target. In conclusion, the project-based MKWK learning model at the University of 17 August 1945 Banyuwangi that was developed is effective in increasing lecture participation

Abstract

This paper aimed to investigate the awareness of climate change among students at a South African university. Climate change is a global issue resulting from human actions and has significant environmental consequences. Therefore, it is essential to gain an in-depth understanding of the level of awareness among emerging leaders to address climate change effectively. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore students' perceptions of climate change awareness. A purposeful sample of eight students was selected for semi-structured interviews. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and emerging themes. The findings indicate that students have limited knowledge of climate change, which includes its causes and effects. However, they possess a deeper understanding of adaptation and mitigation strategies. Furthermore, universities fail to address climate change through comprehensive education and awareness campaigns, contributing to students' limited understanding. This study concludes that the lack of awareness and inadequate institutional support contribute to the knowledge gap regarding climate awareness. In addition, a superficial understanding among students as future leaders threatens effective climate action. This conclusion implies that universities must implement strategies to educate and create climate change awareness for students. Consequently, this study recommends universities integrate climate change into their curriculum to promote awareness. In addition, universities should explore pedagogical approaches to deepen students' understanding of interventions to mitigate climate change. Overall, this study contributes to enhancing students' understanding of the impact of climate change.
