Abstract

This research aims to examine the improvement in students' learning motivation by applying the Team Game Tournament (TGT) learning model in the Indonesian Language subject, specifically on figurative language material, for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Putat Jaya IV/380 Surabaya. The research was motivated by the observed lack of student engagement and motivation in learning activities. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, this study was conducted in Class IV-B, involving 22 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and direct observation during the learning process. The questionnaire responses were then analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of four stages. The results indicated a significant increase in student motivation, with an improvement of 6% from Cycle I (80%) to Cycle II (86%). This percentage demonstrates that the learning motivation of Class IV-B students falls into the high category, affirming the effectiveness of the Team Game Tournament model in enhancing engagement in Indonesian language lessons.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology today has driven various innovations in the world of education, especially in mathematics learning. One of the widely used applications is Photomath, which is able to explain mathematical concepts and present the steps of solving them visually. This study is intended to evaluate the use of the Photomath application in strengthening students' computational thinking skills. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 12 relevant articles were analyzed in depth. The results show that Photomath helps students understand mathematical concepts through structured problem solving. This application also trains computational thinking skills such as decomposition, pattern identification, and algorithms. With teacher assistance, Photomath can be an effective learning medium.

Abstract

This study is based on the issue of low motivation and learning outcomes among students at Sakol Kembara in the General Reasoning subtest of the SNBT. One of the main contributing factors is the use of conventional teacher-centered learning models. The author also identified a significant gap in tryout scores among the students. Therefore, an innovative learning model is needed to enhance student motivation, learning outcomes, and collaboration. This research aims to investigate: (1) the improvement in 12th-grade students' learning outcomes in General Reasoning using the STAD learning model, (2) the effectiveness level of the STAD model compared to the conventional model, (3) the comparison of effectiveness between the conventional and STAD methods, and (4) whether the STAD cooperative learning model is more effective than the conventional model in teaching General Reasoning. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques include tests and observation. Data analysis involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results show an increase in post-test scores in both classes, but the experimental class demonstrated a higher gain (0.33) compared to the control class (0.23). However, the t-test and ANOVA results indicate that the difference in learning improvement between the two groups was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). This suggests that while the STAD model has the potential to enhance student understanding, the difference is not yet strong enough to be considered significant.

Abstract

This type of research is Quantitative Research. This research aims to find out: (1) Letter Card Media applied by researchers to students; (2) Students' initial reading ability in all subjects. This research was carried out from 5 August to 14 September 2024, at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency. The method used in the research was the letter card method, namely looking at the form of relationship between the variables studied. The variables studied were letter card media and the beginning reading ability of second grade elementary school students. The research subjects were class II students at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency. The instrument used to obtain data was a questionnaire. Data processing from the questionnaire was carried out by analyzing product moment correlations according to the variables studied in the research, namely, parenting pattern variables (X) and students' initial reading ability (Y). The results of research using product moment correlation show that the calculated "r" value is -0.029, while the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an influence on the use of letter card media and the initial reading ability of class II students at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency.

Abstract

STEM learning for students with special needs indicates an approach to learning that formulates the content of teaching materials in an integrated manner between the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This approach integrates these scientific fields in a constructive and contextual manner in the learning process. The teaching materials are taken and combined from these four scientific fields to form a unified whole that is integrated into the learning outcomes achieved by the students. The steps of STEM learning, direct activities, and the best STEM lessons involve practical activities where students can directly engage in learning, from designing concepts to making or building something themselves. This greatly reduces the likelihood of students becoming bored or distracted. Mimicking real-life scenarios is another reason why hands-on learning is so important. One of the most important things in STEM is helping students learn skills and get used to them so that they can be useful to them in their future work. Integrate mathematics and science into projects seamlessly. Mathematics and science tailored to students must be relevant to their current projects, connected to real-world scenarios, and ultimately have a purpose. For example, mathematical equations ensure that a design functions properly, or physics knowledge helps them understand how to build something.

Abstract

Research objectives: 1) To find out the design of student worksheets on mandatory fasting and sunnah fasting material based on problem-based learning in class VIII MTs Suli. 2) To determine the validity of student worksheets on mandatory fasting and fasting sunnah based on Problem Based Learning in class VIII MTs Suli. 3) To determine the practicality of student worksheets on mandatory fasting and sunnah fasting material based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in fiqh class VIII MTs Suli. 4) To determine the effectiveness of using student worksheets on mandatory fasting and problem-based sunnah fasting in improving learning outcomes in Class VIII MTs Suli. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development) research. researchers use the ADDIE development model with five stages of development, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This research was conducted at MTs Suli. The subjects in this study were class VIII students in the 2023/2024 school year. Data were obtained through product validation to media experts and material experts, practicality tests by Fiqh teachers, student response questionnaires by 27 MTs Suli students and pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of this study are: 1) the results of the design of teaching materials are used to answer questions. 2) validity is declared feasible based on 80% media experts and 93% material experts. 3) the results of the practicality of the Fiqh teacher were declared very practical 91% and the student response questionnaire was very practical 94%. 4) teaching materials are declared effective based on the results of the pre-test and post-test questions (61.66 and 80.74).

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the improvement ini student learning outcomes through the implementation oh the Team Game Tournament (TGT) learning model in the Indonesian language subject, focusing on the use of the pe-an affix, in Class V at SD Negeri Putat Jaya IV/380 Surabaya. The research was motivated by previously low student achievement in this subject area. The study employed a Classtoom Action Research approach and was conducted in Class V-A, involving 29 students. Data were collected through teacher assessments and observational notes during the learning process. The research was carried out over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. From Cycle I to Cycle II, the percentage of students achieving the learning objectives increased from 76% to 86%, showing a 10% improvement. These findings demonstrate that the use of the TGT learning model effectively enhanced the students understanding of the pe-an affix and exposition texts in the Indonesian language subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the educational backgrounds of the parents affect the learning results of the third-grade pupils at SD Inpres 44 Sorong Regency. The research methodology used in this study is quantitative. All third-grade students at SD Inpres 44 Sorong Regency made up the study's population. A questionnaire about the educational attainment of parents of third-graders at SD Inpres 44 Sorong Regency served as the data collection tool. The study's findings demonstrated that the only students with high category learning outcomes in the Indonesian Language subject are those whose parents have completed high school and S1. These students are enrolled in grade III SD Inpres 44 Sorong Regency. Learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject fall into a sufficient category for students whose parents have completed junior high school, while learning outcomes in the same subject fall into a very low and concerning category for students whose parents have completed elementary school. The study's findings suggest that parents' educational backgrounds have a significant impact on their children's learning outcomes. According to the study's findings, the descriptive analysis indicated that the data fell into four categories: high (26.31%), moderate (21.05%), sufficient (36.74%), and low (15.78%). In contrast, the t-value from the inferential analysis was 12.466 with a significance level of 0.000.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of students on the material of mutual cooperation through the role-playing method conducted at SDN Dukuh Kupang 1-488 Surabaya in the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, over two cycles with each meeting consisting of 2 x 35 minutes (2 lesson hours) applying the role-playing method. The background of this research is that sixth-grade students participate in the learning activities along with the teacher, yet they struggle to instill an understanding of the implementation of mutual cooperation in their surrounding environment, namely family, school, and community. Therefore, the subject matter that should be an alternative to provide understanding of examples of mutual cooperation implementation and the benefits of its application is not conveyed well. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR). Classroom action research (CAR) is utilized by teachers as a means of evaluating learning as well as reflecting on teachers' performance in teaching. Data on improvements in learning outcomes show that starting from the pre-cycle with a completeness percentage of 42.31% with an average score of 69.55, there is an increase in cycle I reaching 73.08% with an average score of 76.55%, and finally an improvement in learning indicated by 88.46% with an average score of 89.5. The implication of the role-playing method in this learning also indicates an increase in learning engagement and creativity of both students and teachers during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine teachers' strategies in integrating movement and dance arts learning for early childhood at RA Darul Madani. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that teachers at RA Darul Madani implement various creative strategies, such as using music and teaching aids, selecting age-appropriate and simple movements, and creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere. Movement and dance arts learning is integrated with other subjects, such as introducing numbers, letters, and character values. The main supporting factors for successful learning include school facilities and children's enthusiasm, while the obstacles encountered involve limited time, resources, and teachers' competence in the arts. Overall, movement and dance arts learning at RA Darul Madani positively impacts the motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development of early childhood students. The study recommends enhancing teacher training and providing supporting facilities to optimize arts learning.
