Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of teaching Christian values based on Galatians 5:22-23 on the development of students' ethics in the Christian education environment. The focus of this study is to explore the extent to which values such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control can shape students' character and influence their attitudes and behaviors. The research method used is a case study involving students from several Christian educational institutions. Data is collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of relevant literature. Data collection is conducted using a qualitative approach to gain a deep understanding of the teaching of Christian values and students' responses to these values. The results of this research provide insights into how the teaching of Christian values based on Galatians 5:22-23 contributes to the formation of students' ethics. Findings include students' understanding of Christian values, identified behavioral changes, and supporting or inhibiting factors in the implementation of these values in the educational environment. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more eflective and relevant strategies for teaching Christian values and provide a deeper understanding of the impact of teaching Christian values on students' ethics. The implications of this research may assist educators and Christian educational institutions in better guiding students in the development of moral character in accordance with Biblical teachings.

Abstract

Vocational education currently requires students to be more active, creative, independent, explore their knowledge and abilities in carrying out learning activities. Therefore, teachers are required to choose the right learning model so that students are more motivated when carrying out learning, one of which is the Technical Drawing subject which is a basic subject that must be mastered by vocational students. The Project Based Learning learning model is an educational approach that emphasizes learning through direct involvement of students in projects that are real and relevant to everyday life. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning model on learning activities and student learning outcomes. The research method used is literature review, the author analyzes several journals, articles, or reading sources that are relevant to the related title. Through this analysis, it was found that Project Based Learning has a positive influence on student activeness during learning activities and increased student learning outcomes. This article contains an analysis of the effect of applying Project Based Learning in Engineering Drawing courses to provide insight for educators in determining effective learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of audiovisual learning media in increasing students' interest and motivation to learn. Learning that tends to be monotonous makes students have no interest and motivation in learning. Audiovisual learning media is expected to be able to provide a solution to this problem in the form of presenting more interesting and interactive information so that it can encourage more active student involvement. Audiovisual learning media utilizes audio and visual media simultaneously in presenting interesting learning materials interactively. This study uses a literature study method, by collecting information from previous studies, and analyzing sources of information from various books and articles that are analyzed descriptively. Several studies have shown that learning that utilizes audiovisual media can increase student involvement in understanding learning materials. Audiovisual media has been proven to increase student learning motivation both intrinsically and extrinsically. Audiovisual learning media requires technology and teacher skills in integrating effectiveness into the learning process.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) has become a major focus in technical and vocational education, especially in the context of Construction Implementation and Supervision subjects in Vocational High Schools. This article aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the literature examining the use of PBL methods in the mentioned context. Through a comprehensive literature review, I explore various aspects, including implementation approaches, benefits gained, as well as challenges faced in applying PBL in construction learning. In addition, I also identified current trends or media in the use of PBL and considered its implications for learning in Schools. The results of this study not only provide valuable insights for educators and administrators in Vocational High Schools, but also serve as a foundation for further research in an effort to improve the effectiveness of engineering learning at the Vocational High School level, as well as enrich academic discussions on innovative learning approaches.

Abstract

This article explores the importance of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the context of building engineering education, with a focus on the engineering mechanics field. PBL is a learning approach that challenges students to solve complex problems, providing benefits such as the enhancement of essential problem-solving skills and improved academic performance. Research suggests that implementing PBL methods has been successful in enhancing student achievement across various disciplines, including engineering mechanics. The findings indicate that the use of PBL has a significant positive effect on student learning outcomes, with the extent of impact influenced by factors such as student-teacher interaction, learning environment, and student motivation. Furthermore, the study highlights the effectiveness of PBL in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities. Therefore, the article concludes that the adoption of PBL can be a valuable learning strategy for improving student performance in the field of building engineering, particularly within the realm of engineering mechanics.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide an overview of relevant literature regarding the enhancement of motivation and cognitive learning achievements among high school students in physics courses through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The research employs qualitative methods with a focus on literature review. The research process involves stages such as collecting, screening, presenting, discussing, and drawing conclusions from papers. The primary data source for this study comprises national journal articles published over the last five years (2018 to 2023). Among the identified articles, 10 out of 16 were found to align with the specified thematic focus. The application of the Discovery model in high school physics classes is executed in accordance with the referenced theoretical framework. Consequently, the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is shown to have a positive impact on increasing both motivation and cognitive learning outcomes for high school students in physics classes.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out better student cognitive learning outcomes among students using expository learning strategies and session posters. The research was conducted at MTs Matholi’ul Huda Troso. The approach used is a quantitative approach of the experimental type Quasi Experimental Design. In this study, samples were selected using purposive sampling techniques and obtained class VIII D of 32 students as a control class and class VIII E of 32 student as an experimental class. Data collection techniques performed with written documentation tests. The results of the independent t- test analysis concluded that the cognitive learning outcomes of students using the poster session learning strategy were better than those of students who used the expository learning strategy, demonstrated with a sig score of 0,00 < 0,05, t_count = 8,172 > t_table = 1,99897, as well as the average learning score obtained in the experimental class was higher than the average of the control class (79,25 > 64,78). Thus, it can be concluded, that the cognitional learning outcome of students that used the poster sessions strategy was better than the learning output of students with the expository learning strategy.

Abstract

The low interest and learning outcomes of students in Pancasila Education material are due to the limited use of innovative learning media. This issue serves as one of the research backgrounds, aiming to improve Pancasila Education learning outcomes through the use of Smart Box media for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Sewulan 02. This research employs a classroom action research (CAR) method using the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of two cycles. Each cycle involves four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 14 fourth-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observations, tests, and interviews with the fourth-grade teacher as the teaching facilitator. The results of the study showed an increase in the percentage of student learning mastery. In the pre-cycle stage, student learning mastery only reached 35%. After the application of the Smart Box media, student mastery increased to 57% in the first cycle, and then reached 86% in the second cycle. Based on the achievement of 86% mastery in the second cycle, it can be concluded that the use of Smart Box media is effective in improving student learning outcomes. Additionally, the use of this media also increased students' enthusiasm during the Pancasila Education learning process, as evidenced by their active participation in learning activities and higher interest in the material being presented.

Abstract

Curriculum management is a crucial aspect in the management and development of educational curricula, which plays an important role in ensuring the successful achievement of educational goals. This article explores the basic concepts of curriculum management and emphasizes the urgency of implementing them in the contemporary educational context. Through a systematic and directed approach, curriculum management enables the formulation of clear educational goals, designing a cohesive curriculum structure, selecting relevant learning materials, as well as evaluating and adapting the curriculum that is responsive to student needs and the dynamics of current developments. The planned curriculum management process includes various steps, including educational needs analysis, strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, as well as curriculum evaluation and revision. By adopting effective curriculum management, educational institutions can improve the quality of learning, adapt teaching to developments in technology and science, and achieve optimal educational results. This article highlights that good curriculum management does not only focus on learning content, but also on developing teacher competence and active participation of all stakeholders in the educational process. Thus, implementing comprehensive and adaptive curriculum management is the key to facing educational challenges in the era of globalization and digitalization.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an education plays a central role in forming the character, morals and spirituality of grade 5 and 6 children at SDN 27 Ladang Hutan. In this context, this research uses a qualitative approach to gain a holistic understanding of the implementation of Al-Qur'an education. The research subjects involved teachers and students in grades 5 and 6, with data collection techniques involving observation and interviews. The research results show that teaching the Al-Qur'an has a positive impact on increasing religious knowledge, building character, developing Arabic language skills, and increasing children's concentration and discipline. However, obstacles such as the lack of availability of qualified Koran teachers, a curriculum that is not integrated, and a lack of facilities and infrastructure are obstacles in implementing Al-Qur'an education. The proposed solutions include increasing teacher training, curriculum integration, improving facilities and infrastructure, and involving parents in supporting education at home. By implementing these solutions, it is hoped that Al-Qur'an education can be implemented more effectively at SDN 27 Ladang Hutan, providing great benefits in shaping the character and morals of children at the elementary school level.
