Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of the family environment on the development of children from Generation Alpha in Bandung City and Bandung Regency. Using a quantitative design, this research involved 300 respondents, consisting of children aged 5 to 14 years and their parents. Data collection methods included questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and direct observations. The findings indicate that family structure, parenting style, communication quality, and emotional support from the family significantly impact children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. Statistical analysis revealed that children from nuclear families had higher cognitive scores, authoritative parenting was associated with improved social skills and emotional well-being, and good communication and emotional support were linked to reduced stress and increased happiness. This study emphasizes the importance of creating a stable and supportive family environment to support the optimal development of Generation Alpha children and provides recommendations for family practices and future research.

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a deadly disease that has spread to various countries including Indonesia, one of which is the province of East Java, especially Ngawi district. The high number of HIV/AIDS transmission cases that occur can be caused by low knowledge in adolescent groups so that they are vulnerable to myths and misinformation about reproductive health, especially about HIV/AIDS continuous increase in cases due to the lack of provision of health information about HIV/AIDS to the public, especially adolescents. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of HIV/AIDS card match (haicamat) on the knowledge of MTsN 5 Ngawi students. This study is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. A sampling with simple random sampling was performed on 48 students. Data analysis used is the Mann-Whitney test which received the results of p- value <0.05. There is an effect of HIV/AIDS card match (HAICAMAT) on knowledge about HIV/AIDS in MTsN 5 Ngawi students.

Abstract

Cultural differences can affect communication in general, making it difficult to reach a solution. Cultural differences can make communication difficult due to misunderstandings between individuals. People who have just moved from their home environment will find it difficult to adapt if they are not used to the changes. Cultural differences in the workplace lead to differences in the way ideas, perceptions and everyday behaviours are communicated. This also means that there are differences in intercultural communication strategies. If the communication strategy used is appropriate, the communication that takes place in the work environment will be more effective. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the object of research being DPW PKB Lampung Province. The research subjects are DPW PKB employees from Lampung, Java, Sunda and Semendo ethnic groups. The data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interviews, documentation and literature review. Furthermore, the research data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model as a guide for data processing. The results of this study, namely DPW PKB Lampung Province employees, show that students are aware of the importance of effective communication strategies in intercultural interactions. Some informants have implemented some elements of Steve Carteledge's communication strategy in their communication practices with other tribes, such as planning, adaptation, and strategy development. However, some informants still need to increase their awareness or knowledge of best practices in intercultural communication.

Abstract

One of the social media that is much in demand and consumed by people in the post- modern era is Instagram. This research looks deeper into the role of Instagram as a media for da'wah in spreading religious messages in the post-modern era than previous studies. The method used in this research is a literature review. The articles selected and reviewed in this study were 5 articles based on the Google Scholar database, which were filtered using the Publish or Perish application. Based on the research, it was found that in the postmodern era, Instagram can be an effective medium for da'wah in conveying religious messages. In the context of media sociology, Instagram is used as a da'wah channel that adapts religious messages into a form that is relevant and attracts the attention of Instagram users, especially the younger generation. The strategy of da'wah through Instagram also utilises creativity, digital trends, and compatibility with audience hobbies to increase the attractiveness and influence of da'wah messages. In addition, Instagram is also used as a tool to expand the reach of da'wah messages.

Abstract

This study covered the effects of Spilanthes filicaulis flower-head and leaf extracts on liver function and histology in Wistar albino rats. Forty-two rats were divided into seven groups, with groups receiving varying doses of MESF leaf or flower-head extracts. Liver function was assessed through serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and bilirubin fractions. Histopathological analysis of liver tissues was performed to detect structural changes. The results indicated that neither the leaf nor flower-head extracts caused significant alterations in serum ALT and AST levels, suggesting no major hepatotoxicity. Although some variations in ALP activity were observed, these changes did not correlate with liver damage in histopathological examinations. Bilirubin levels remained stable across treatment groups. Histopathological analysis revealed no significant deviations from normal hepatic architecture, though some cases of macrovesicular steatosis were noted. The study concludes that supplementation with MESF leaf and flower-head extracts does not induce significant liver damage in Wistar albino rats, suggesting that these extracts may be safe for liver health at the administered doses.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of government assistance in increasing economic independence through micro-enterprises in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Involving 200 respondents selected through stratified random sampling, the study reveals that 70% of aid recipients experienced an average income increase of 30%, and 65% felt the aid helped them expand their business. Statistical analysis shows a significant positive correlation between the amount of aid and economic independence (correlation coefficient 0.65, p < 0.05). Factors influencing the effectiveness of aid include access to capital, skill training, bureaucracy, and lack of mentoring. These findings highlight the need for a more holistic approach and sustainable support to maximize the impact of government assistance.

Abstract

Social inclusion for people with impairments is a vital step towards creating an equitable and fair society. Using the Comprehensive Literature Review technique, this study will examine the policies, problems, and supporting factors in the implementation of social inclusion for people with disabilities in Indonesia. The findings demonstrate that Indonesia already has a number of supportive laws, such as Law No. 8/2016 on Persons with Disabilities, however there are still gaps in their implementation. The primary barriers are a lack of accessible infrastructure, a shortage of qualified personnel, and a persistent societal stigma associated with persons with impairments. Government commitment, the engagement of civil society organisations, and the deployment of adaptive technology all help to promote social inclusion. The report also examines social inclusion methods in other countries, such as Sweden and Japan, where progressive policies have been effectively implemented via government-private sector partnership. The findings of this research emphasise the need of a multidisciplinary approach to social inclusion, as well as the need for more systematic tactics such as greater policy supervision, technology optimisation, and cross-sector cooperation. With these approaches, social inclusion for individuals with disabilities in Indonesia may be achieved in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Cross-sector cooperation and a synergy between social service administration and public policy are necessary to reduce poverty. The purpose of this essay is to pinpoint the elements that make government, business, and civil society collaboration on poverty reduction initiatives successful. Research shows that for social programmes to be effective, new approaches are needed, such as digital technology and community-based methodologies, together with cross-level cooperation and policy alignment. The private sector offers capital and access to markets, while the public sector plays the role of regulator and enabler. Civil society mentors and empowers the community. This synergy is impeded by bureaucratic red tape, limited local competency, and policy fragmentation. However, the adoption of integrated information systems and strategic partnerships with cross-sector stakeholders may improve the long-term viability of social services and programme effectiveness. To ensure poverty reduction synergies, this study recommends harnessing digital innovation, improving human resource capabilities, and strengthening cross-sector cooperation. With long-term and effective partnerships, social activities are expected to dramatically increase community welfare and reduce extreme poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in the business world has become a major focus in the literature addressing business adaptation and resilience. This study reviews the literature to explore how AI and automation technologies can be applied to improve operational efficiency, respond quickly to market changes, and manage supply chains and human resources more effectively. The results of this study show that AI and automation can not only optimise business processes by reducing costs and human error, but can also improve a company's ability to anticipate and cope with disruptions and crisis situations. As such, the integration of AI and automation gives companies a significant competitive advantage, enabling better adaptation to changing business environments and improving overall resilience.
