Abstract

This study aims to determine the mechanism of mudharabah financing at BMT Ummat Sengkang from an Islamic economic perspective. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data where the data is obtained directly from the main source, while the data is obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the mudharabah financing mechanism at BMT Ummat Sengkang is in accordance with the provisions of fatwa No. 7 / DSN-MUI / IV / 2000 concerning the pillars and conditions of mudharabah and in its transactions it reflects the principles of sharia which do not contain usury, gharar, and maysir. However, mudharabah financing at BMT Ummat Sengkang still needs to be improved by providing convenience in submitting financing.

Abstract

In 3 consecutive years shopee has been nominated as one of the top e-commerce site by the Indonesian people even though there are many selection of e-commerce available in the country shopee's gross merchandise value continues to increase, this study purposed is to examine how is the Brand Experience on Shopee Customer Loyalty mediated by E-Commerce Trust and E-Commerce Satisfaction among students majoring in management at Makassar state university. In this study, the variables that is going to be used in this study is Brand Experience as the dependent variable (X), Customer Loyalty as the independent variable (Y), and E-Commerce Trust and E-Commerce Satisfaction as mediating variables (Z). Respondents that is participating in this study will be the active students of Makassar State University. Data collection is carried out online by utilizing google form. The data analysis technique that will be utilized in this research is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) for this study researcher decided to use SmartPLS 4. The results of this study is: Brand Experience has a positive and significant relationship with Customer Loyalty through E-Commerce Trust Shopee among Management Students of Makassar State University. Abstract

The consumer goods industry, including the tobacco sector, plays a critical role in Indonesia's economy. Despite facing intense competition and regulatory challenges, this sector contributes significantly to national revenue through taxes and duties. Indonesia, with one of the highest smoking rates globally, saw substantial revenue from Tobacco Excise Duties (CHT), amounting to IDR 198.02 trillion in 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated challenges by causing significant tax hikes, leading to reduced purchasing power and increased demand for illegal cigarettes. This study focuses on PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, a major player in the Indonesian tobacco industry, evaluating its financial performance using the Du Pont System for the years 2020-2022. The analysis reveals fluctuating Return On Equity (ROE), a declining Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Return On Assets (ROA), despite stable Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and Equity Multiplier (EM). The findings highlight the impact of external economic pressures and regulatory changes on the company's profitability and operational efficiency. This study provides insights into how financial performance metrics reflect the broader economic context and the effectiveness of management strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze service quality in veterinary clinics and its impact on customer satisfaction. In the animal health industry, service quality is a key factor in ensuring customer comfort and pet welfare. This study reviews various studies that use quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods approaches in measuring service aspects. Several dimensions of service quality analyzed include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The results of the study indicate that empathy and responsiveness factors have the most significant influence on customer satisfaction, followed by reliability and assurance. Tangibles, such as clinic facilities and cleanliness, also play a role in shaping customer perceptions of the services provided. Although this study provides valuable insights, there are several limitations, such as limited coverage and lack of exploration of qualitative data. Therefore, further research is recommended to expand the geographical coverage and combine quantitative and qualitative methods to gain a deeper understanding. In addition, comparisons with human health services can provide new perspectives on customer expectations of veterinary clinics. The findings of this study are expected to be a reference for veterinary clinic owners and managers in improving service quality and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is an act involving exploitation and abuse of power of a sexual nature that degrades a person's dignity. This may include unwanted and inappropriate speech, behavior or physical actions that target someone based on their gender or sexual characteristics. The Nias District Social Service has a central role in providing social services to the community, including vulnerable groups who are more at risk of becoming victims of sexual harassment. This research aims to determine the roles and responsibilities, policies and effectiveness of Nias Regency as a region with cultural and social diversity that has its own challenges in maintaining an environment that is safe from sexual harassment. The Nias District Social Service has a central role in providing social services to the community, including vulnerable groups who are more at risk of becoming victims of sexual harassment. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The results of this research show that the Nias District Social Service has taken a number of concrete steps to prevent sexual abuse of children. These steps include regular education and training for organizational members, building an open and safe culture, and providing support for individuals in need. However, the effectiveness of these measures requires in-depth evaluation. Factors such as the level of response to policies, effectiveness of training, openness in organizational culture, availability of support, and ongoing evaluation processes need to be considered.

Abstract

Discrete Event Simulation (DES) is a modeling method used to analyze service systems by modeling each event as a series of discrete events. This study aims to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of the service process at Mie Broski, Kupang City, which focuses on customer queue management and service time. DES allows identification of potential in the system and provides recommendations for improvement through simulation of various operational scenarios. Factors such as service time, number of workers, and queuing system are the main variables analyzed in this study. Using observation and interview data, the simulation results show that workforce quartz and queuing system modifications can significantly increase customer satisfaction. The results of this study are to present innovation in the service system at Mie Broski with the application of Discrete Event Simulation (DES) to analyze and optimize the queuing process and service time to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by modifying the queuing system and workforce management, so that it can handle a larger volume of customers and improve overall service quality. The application of Discrete Event Simulation in this study especially in queue management and service time. system have been proven to be able to significantly increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Pendaftaran mahasiswa baru merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan perguruan tinggi. STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi perlu mempersiapkan diri menghadapi potensi perubahan jumlah pendaftaran mahasiswa baru yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor eksternal, seperti kondisi ekonomi, kebijakan pendidikan, dan dinamika sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model prediksi pendaftaran mahasiswa baru dengan menggunakan metode simulasi Monte Carlo. Metode ini dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam menangani ketidakpastian dan variabilitas data, serta menghasilkan distribusi probabilitas yang menggambarkan berbagai skenario yang mungkin terjadi. Simulasi Monte Carlo digunakan untuk memodelkan pengaruh berbagai variabel terhadap jumlah pendaftar, sehingga dapat menghasilkan estimasi jumlah mahasiswa baru yang lebih akurat berdasarkan simulasi dari berbagai kemungkinan kejadian. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang perubahan jumlah pendaftar pada tahun akademik yang akan datang, sehingga pihak universitas dapat merencanakan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam hal sumber daya, fasilitas, dan perencanaan operasional. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metode prediksi berbasis simulasi dalam konteks manajemen pendidikan.

Abstract

Skin fungus (dermatomycosis) is an infection caused by various types of fungi that develop in the epidermal layer of human skin. This infection is often difficult to detect early, especially if it occurs in hard-to-reach areas such as the back. Therefore, this study aims to develop an automatic detection system for skin fungus on the human back using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method in digital image processing. This system is designed to help medical personnel and the general public in early detection of skin fungal infections more quickly and accurately. The methods used include image feature extraction using the Canny Edge Detection technique and classification using SVM. With the website-based system, users can upload photos of their skin to be analyzed automatically without the need for a direct visit to a health facility. The results show that this approach has a high accuracy rate in identifying skin fungal infections. Thus, this research is expected to contribute to improving the effectiveness of skin fungal disease detection and treatment in the community.

Abstract

The radio frequency spectrum is a limited natural resource that is crucial in supporting various communication sectors. However, violations of frequency spectrum usage, such as unauthorized usage or non-compliance with technical parameters, frequently occur in the East Nusa Tenggara region. Monitoring conducted by the Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Center Class I Kupang faces challenges due to manual record-keeping and scattered data, which hinder efficient evaluation and management of violations. This study aims to develop a web-based information system capable of monitoring and recording the history of radio frequency spectrum violations in a centralized and real-time manner. The system is also designed to facilitate easier access to information and management of violation data. Data collection methods used in this research include literature studies, observation, and interviews. Meanwhile, the software development method applied is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The result of this research is an information system that provides centralized violation history data to support more effective radio frequency spectrum management in the East Nusa Tenggara region

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the development of culinary MSMEs on labor absorption. This study was conducted in Somba Opu and Pallangga Districts, Gowa Regency, which were selected intentionally. The data used in this study are primary cross-section data. The method of determining respondents is by using the Slovin formula, where calculations are carried out to obtain one hundred culinary MSMEs with business actors as respondents. The research method used is the causal associative method with a quantitative approach. Data collection methods are observation and direct interviews with questionnaire guidance. Data analysis techniques use multiple linear analysis. Based on the results of this study, simultaneously, the indicators of the development of culinary MSMEs in Somba Opu and Pallangga Districts have an effect on labor absorption.
