Abstract

This literature study explores the contribution of social economy law to the implementation of social justice in the context of economic regulation and policy. Through the analysis of various literature sources, it is found that social economic law serves as an important framework that seeks to encourage the fair redistribution of resources and ensure protection for vulnerable groups. Policies such as minimum wage setting, social security, and corporate social responsibility are analysed as important instruments in creating a more economically just society. The study also underlines the importance of social economy law in strengthening social inclusion and economic stability geared towards sustainability and equity. However, it was also found that to achieve optimal effectiveness, policy adjustments that are responsive to changing social and economic dynamics are required. The findings confirm that the success of social economy law in achieving social justice depends on comprehensive, inclusive and adaptive policy implementation.

Abstract

This study explores the prevalence of gossip and rumours in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird (1960) and Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God (1937). Both novels demonstrate how unspoken words and hearsay impact the lives of heroes and bring a clash between them and their communities. Both are set in the American South during a period of social and racial conflict. This paper examines how Hurston and Lee employ whispers and gossip as narrative strategies to emphasise themes of prejudice, identity and societal judgement. In Hurston’s novel the unrelenting chatter of the villagers continuously impedes and shapes Janie Crawford’s path for self- discovery. It mirrors the social dynamics and power structures in her community as a challenge to her route of self-fulfillment. Analogously, Lee depicts the detrimental effects of racial and social prejudice in Maycomb, Alabama. He shows how the dissemination of false rumours affects the lives of people like Boo Radley. This study contends that rumours and gossip function as both representations of larger society issues and instruments for character development in both novels. The purpose of the article is to show how important rumours and gossip are to comprehending the writers’ criticisms of social injustice and the human condition. In the end, this analysis aims to highlight the significance of the unsaid and its deep influence on interpersonal relationships as well as community dynamics.

Abstract

The study of queer and non-binary narratives in young adult literature highlights the increasing representation of characters with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations. This literature reflects a cultural shift towards greater inclusivity, and offers more realistic depictions of the lives and challenges faced by queer and non-binary individuals. This research identifies that books in this genre not only fill a void in media representation, but also provide emotional and psychological support to young readers in search of identity. The social impact of this trend is significant, as it can reduce stigma, promote empathy, and encourage open conversations about gender identity and sexual orientation, ultimately creating a more inclusive and supportive society.

Abstract

Political campaigning in the digital age has undergone major changes. Social media is now an important tool in politicians' campaign strategies. This paper reviews the various ways politicians use social media to campaign. From Facebook to TikTok, politicians utilise online platforms to reach out to voters. They share their visions, programmes and activities directly to voters' smartphones. In addition, social media is also used to fundraise and organise supporters. However, the use of social media in politics also creates new problems. It has become easier to spread fake news and manipulate public opinion. Voter data privacy is also a serious concern. Nevertheless, social media remains an important part of modern campaigning. Politicians who are good at utilising it can benefit greatly. In the future, expertise in digital campaigning will be increasingly crucial for anyone who wants to succeed in politics.
