Abstract

Social media's rapid growth has transformed how Generation Z builds relationships, constructs identities, and manages privacy online. On Instagram, the use of both main and alter accounts reflects a shift in privacy management, where users regulate access to personal information through interaction restriction features based on audience, context, and perceived risk. Despite widespread use of these practices, little research has examined how such features shape Generation Z's privacy management. This study therefore examines how Generation Z manages privacy through Instagram's interaction restriction features on main and alter accounts, using a descriptive qualitative approach within a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving ten Generation Z participants aged 18–25 who actively use both account types and have experience with these features. Data were analyzed using Communication Privacy Management (CPM) theory, focusing on privacy boundaries, privacy rules, and boundary turbulence. Findings show that privacy management is dynamic, layered, and relational: boundaries are formed by separating main and alter account functions and using features like Private Account, Close Friends, Hide Story, Mute, and Block; rules are shaped by relational closeness, gender, context, and risk perception; and turbulence arises when private information reaches unintended audiences or restrictions strain relationships.

Abstract

One of the most common complaints experienced by pregnant women, especially during the third trimester, is low back pain. This pain occurs due to increased body weight, changes in body posture, and the influence of the relaxin hormone, which causes the ligaments around the pelvis and spine to soften. Prenatal massage is an intervention that can help reduce the level of back pain. Objective: To determine the effect of prenatal massage on the intensity of low back pain in third trimester pregnant women at Indrasari Regional Public Hospital Rengat. Method: This final project employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis using the Paired Samples Test showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 for the intensity of low back pain. Discussion: Prenatal massage can improve the physical comfort of pregnant women by providing a relaxation effect on muscles experiencing tension due to postural changes during pregnancy. Conclusion: There is an effect of prenatal massage on the intensity of low back pain in third trimester pregnant women at Indrasari Regional Public Hospital Rengat in 2026.

Abstract

The expansion of the tourism industry has become a significant driver of urban development, particularly by influencing urban spatial structure and land-use patterns. The growing number of tourist arrivals stimulates investment, infrastructure development, and the provision of supporting facilities, thereby accelerating urban spatial transformation. Nevertheless, this rapid growth may also generate several challenges, including land-use conversion, increasing development density, traffic congestion, and environmental degradation when not supported by sustainable spatial planning policies. This study aims to examine the impacts of tourism development on changes in urban spatial structure and land utilization by synthesizing established theories and findings from previous studies. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using a literature review method. The study relied exclusively on secondary data collected from national and international scientific journals, academic books, government policy documents, reports published by international organizations, and other relevant scholarly publications. The data were analyzed using content analysis, involving the processes of identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of the selected literature. The findings indicate that tourism development contributes to the emergence of new economic growth centers, intensifies urban land utilization, and encourages the conversion of residential areas and open spaces into commercial and tourism-related service zones. While tourism expansion generates positive outcomes, including increased investment, employment opportunities, regional economic growth, and improved infrastructure, it also produces adverse impacts such as uncontrolled land conversion, greater environmental pressure, traffic congestion, and the reduction of urban green open spaces. Therefore, tourism development should be integrated with sustainable spatial planning policies to achieve a balanced relationship between economic growth, environmental conservation, and community well-being.

Abstract

The development of Generative Artificial Intelligence has brought significant changes to mathematics learning practices, particularly in providing fast and interactive support for students. However, the effectiveness of Generative AI is measured not only by its ability to generate answers but also by its contribution to the development of in-depth mathematical conceptual understanding. This study aims to examine the role of Generative AI in supporting the transition of mathematics learning from simply generating answers to strengthening students' conceptual understanding. The study used a literature review with a mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative findings from various relevant scientific publications. The results indicate that Generative AI has great potential to increase access to mathematical explanations, provide personalized feedback, and help students understand concepts through diverse representations and reasoning. On the other hand, excessive reliance on AI-generated answers has the potential to reduce students' cognitive engagement and hinder the development of critical thinking skills if not accompanied by appropriate pedagogical strategies. This study provides theoretical and practical implications for the development of mathematics learning models that effectively utilize Generative AI to support sustained conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study is oriented toward a critical analysis of the construction of patriarchal culture and its implications for gender inequality within the social life of Indigenous communities in Keerom Regency, Papua. Gender inequality is manifested through various forms of women’s subordination, including violence against women and children, customary marriage practices that restrict women’s educational continuity, and the limited participation of women in customary and social decision-making processes. Employing a critical paradigm and a qualitative case study approach, this study explores women’s lived experiences, forms of resistance to patriarchal domination, and empowerment strategies developed in response to gender-based power relations. Data are collected through observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and documentation. The data are subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which comprises data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data credibility is strengthened through triangulation. Theoretically, this study integrates the perspectives of radical feminism, cultural feminism, and community empowerment to develop a contextually grounded model of Indigenous women’s empowerment. The proposed model is expected to strengthen women’s participation, educational access, legal protection, and institutional transformation toward a more inclusive and gender-equitable Indigenous social order.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Revenue-Sharing Funds, General Allocation Funds, and Special Allocation Funds on the economic growth of regencies and cities in North Sumatra Province. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. Secondary data were obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance. Model selection was conducted through panel data model testing, identifying the Fixed Effect Model as the most appropriate. The results indicate that Revenue-Sharing Funds have a positive relationship with economic growth but do not exert a significant influence. Conversely, both General Allocation Funds and Special Allocation Funds have a positive and significant impact on economic growth. Collectively, these three transfer funds significantly influence economic growth. These findings demonstrate that the effectiveness of fiscal transfers is determined not only by the magnitude of regional revenue but also by the local government's ability to direct funds toward productive development and public services. Therefore, the management of General Allocation Funds and Special Allocation Funds needs to be directed more effectively to strengthen fiscal capacity, infrastructure, public services, and regional economic activity.

Abstract

Personal names constitute a vital component of Yoruba linguistic and cultural heritage, serving functions that extend beyond personal identification to the expression of identity, history, religious beliefs, family values, and indigenous knowledge. In recent decades, however, rapid social transformation driven by urbanization, globalization, migration, formal education, religious pluralism, and digital communication has influenced traditional Yoruba naming practices, giving rise to new naming patterns that reflect both cultural continuity and social change. This study examines personal naming practices among contemporary Yoruba speakers from a sociolinguistic perspective. Guided by William Labov's Variation Theory and Henri Tajfel and John Turner's Social Identity Theory, the study investigates the sociolinguistic factors that shape contemporary Yoruba naming practices and explores their implications for cultural identity and heritage preservation. A qualitative documentary research design was adopted, drawing data from published studies, documentary sources, and representative contemporary Yoruba personal names. The data were analysed thematically using sociolinguistic and onomastic principles. The findings reveal that contemporary Yoruba personal names continue to function as important linguistic resources for expressing religious affiliation, preserving family heritage, communicating parental aspirations, negotiating multiple identities, and transmitting indigenous knowledge. The study further shows that, although globalization and religious transformation have introduced new naming patterns, these developments have not displaced the cultural foundations of Yoruba anthroponymy. Rather, contemporary Yoruba speakers continue to adapt traditional naming practices to changing social realities while maintaining their linguistic and cultural distinctiveness. The study concludes that Yoruba personal names remain dynamic expressions of identity and cultural continuity in contemporary society. It recommends sustained documentation, the integration of Yoruba naming traditions into language and cultural education, and greater institutional support for preserving indigenous naming practices as part of broader efforts to safeguard Nigeria's linguistic and cultural heritage.

Abstract

Well-being is a fundamental life goal for every individual, including religious clergy. Studies examining the well-being of Hindu clergy remain very limited. Therefore, this study aims to explore, identify, and confirm the dimensions that constitute the well-being of Hindu clergy (Sulinggih) in Bali. The study employed an exploratory sequential mixed methods design, with the primary objective of exploring the various aspects perceived by Sulinggih in Bali as contributing to their well-being. Data for the qualitative phase were collected through in-depth interviews with seven Sulinggih informants, while the quantitative data were obtained from feedback responses to questionnaires distributed to 323 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that the dimensions constituting the well-being of Sulinggih in Bali comprise economic well-being, physical well-being, psychological well-being, spiritual well-being, and social well-being. These findings indicate that the well-being of religious clergy is multidimensional and that, like people in general, religious clergy consider multiple aspects of well-being rather than focusing solely on spiritual well-being.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) and Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) on Economic Growth with Capital Expenditure as a mediating variable in Aceh Province during 2015–2024. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary time-series. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, coefficient of determination, t-test, F-test, path analysis, and the Sobel Test. The results indicate that PAD, DBH, and Capital Expenditure do not significantly affect Economic Growth either partially or simultaneously. The Sobel Test indicating that Capital Expenditure does not significantly mediate the effects of PAD and DBH on Economic Growth. The findings suggest that increases in fiscal revenue do not automatically translate into economic growth without productive and effective budget allocation.
