Abstract

In the current digital era, data security is a major concern in various industrial sectors. Blockchain, as the data distribution technology underlying cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, has shown significant potential in addressing various data security issues. This literature research aims to comprehensively examine the use of blockchain technology in improving the security of data distribution systems. Through a systematic review method, this research collects and analyzes various studies, articles and reports related to the use of blockchain in the context of data security. The literature review results show that blockchain offers several key security features, such as decentralization, resistance to manipulation, anonymity, and transparency, which can prevent cyberattacks and protect data integrity. However, this research also identifies challenges faced in blockchain implementation, including issues of scalability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with existing data systems. This research suggests that the development of hybrid solutions that combine blockchain elements with traditional data distribution technologies can provide a balance between security and efficiency. Additionally, cooperation between developers, industry, and regulators is critical to creating standards and frameworks that support widespread blockchain adoption. Thus, this research provides a balanced view of the potential and challenges of using blockchain in the security of data distribution systems, as well as suggesting directions for further research and development in this area.

Abstract

In order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the learning process in Indonesia, this research conducts an in-depth study of the application of persuasive communication techniques in education to encourage changes in student behavior. This study uses literature research method. The results show that the use of storytelling and personalized content in the teaching and learning process increases student engagement and helps them understand and remember the material better. In addition, non-verbal aspects of communication, such as eye contact, positive facial expressions, and supportive body gestures, are proven to play a role in increasing the effectiveness of information delivery and strengthening the emotional bond between teachers and students. The implication for education is the need for teacher development and training in persuasive communication techniques as part of professional development. This includes adopting more interactive and responsive learning methods, which not only enrich students' learning experiences but also support the development of 21st century skills such as creativity, problem-solving and cooperation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Pattern of ASN Education and Training Development at the Makassar City Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) and its implementation strategy in developing ASN competencies through technical training. This research approach uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Seven research informants were selected purposively. The data analysis process was carried out with the help of NVivo 12 plus software. The results of this study indicate that: 1). The pattern of ASN technical training development carried out by the Makassar City Regional Staffing Agency is known that the training organized with the ADDIE model training approach has been running well as it should be guided by the curriculum issued by the State Administration Institute (LAN), but in its implementation it still refers to the trainings held so that the development has not been carried out properly, this is due to attachment to curriculum rules issued by LAN related to organizing training. 2). The strategy carried out by BKD Makassar City in implementing the training development pattern is to assess prospective training participants regarding their competencies before attending the training, making it easier to determine the material needed by employees in developing their competencies, especially those related to technical matters.

Abstract

Politeness is a crucial element in human communication, used to maintain interpersonal relationships and prevent conflicts. In sociolinguistics, politeness is studied as a linguistic strategy involving efforts to mitigate threats to the interlocutor's self-image, known as the concept of "face." This article explores politeness strategies as described by Ronald Wardhaugh in An Introduction to Sociolinguistics. Reviewing four main strategies—bald-on- record, positive politeness, negative politeness, and off-record—the article also discusses the significance of politeness in cultural contexts and its implications for cross-cultural communication research and practice. A deep understanding of politeness not only provides theoretical insights but also enhances communication effectiveness in various multicultural settings.

Abstract

The effectiveness of special education programmes in primary schools, with a focus on the impact on the academic and social-emotional development of students with special needs. This study used a literature review method. The results showed that special education programs using inclusive approaches and personalised teaching contributed significantly to improved academic performance and student engagement. Effective collaboration between teachers, special education staff, parents and other professionals was also identified as an important factor in the success of the programmes. Nonetheless, the study highlighted implementation challenges, such as limited resources and the need for continuous professional development for educators. The conclusion of this analysis emphasises the need for increased investment and support in special education to overcome these challenges and ensure the achievement of optimal learning outcomes for all students.

Abstract

This article discusses the concepts of style and register in the realm of sociolinguistics, which is a branch of linguistics that studies the relationship between language and society. Style refers to variations in language use based on situational context, level of formality, and social relationships between speakers, as discussed by Labov (1972) in his research on sociolinguistic patterns. Meanwhile, register refers to language variations that are influenced by certain fields of activity or professions, as described by Halliday (1978) in his theory of systemic functional linguistics. This article also explores factors that influence the choice of style and register, such as age, gender, social status, and communication goals, based on research contributions from Trudgill (1983) and Fishman (1968). By understanding style and register, deep insight can be gained into how language is used to reflect identity, build social relationships, and adapt communication in various contexts. This study not only strengthens previous sociolinguistic theories but also provides practical insights to support social interaction, language teaching, and the development of cross-cultural communication.

Abstract

The use of technology in the education of children with special needs offers great potential to improve learning quality and accessibility. Recent literature reviews have shown that technologies such as assistive devices, educational apps and online learning platforms can provide more individualised and effective solutions in supporting the academic, social and emotional development of children with special needs. However, the implementation of these technologies is not free from challenges, including cost, the need for adequate training for educators, and issues of privacy and data security. Therefore, strong collaboration between the government, educational institutions and the technology sector is needed to overcome these barriers and maximise the potential of technology in inclusive education. The study concludes that with the right approach, technology can be an important tool to meet the unique needs of children with special needs and help them reach their full potential.

Abstract

A comparison between classical and modern Islamic philosophy can be seen through the works and thoughts of two great intellectuals: Al-Kindi and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Al-Kindi, as an icon of classical Islamic philosophy, is famous for his efforts to incorporate Greek philosophical thought into Islamic teachings, showing openness to knowledge from diverse civilisations. On the other hand, Seyyed Hossein Nasr, a contemporary thinker, rejected the influence of modern secularism and materialism, emphasising the importance of maintaining the integrity of Islam's spiritual tradition. Although their approaches differ, both share a dedication to the propagation and maintenance of Islamic intellectual and spiritual values. This analysis illustrates how Islamic philosophy evolves in the face of the challenges of each age, remaining relevant and providing a rich perspective in understanding and dealing with the dynamics of the modern world.

Abstract

The application of the insanity defence in murder cases in Indonesia highlights the challenges and implications arising from the application of this law. This study examines the consistency and effectiveness of the insanity defence in Indonesia and its impact on the criminal justice system and mental health. The review shows that although Indonesian law recognises the insanity defence, its implementation is often inconsistent and not supported by an adequate mental health assessment system. This results in unfairness in the handling of murder cases involving suspects with mental illness, as well as the continued stigmatisation of people with such disorders. The implications of these findings are significant for improving the justice and mental health systems in Indonesia. Better integration between the legal system and mental health services is needed to ensure the application of the insanity defence is fair and human rights compliant. This study recommends improved training for law enforcement, as well as strengthened coordination with mental health professionals to support effective rehabilitation for individuals with mental illness. This is expected to improve the fairness and protection of individual rights in the application of the insanity defence in Indonesia.
