Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of liquidity and solvency measures on profitability ratios in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.  This research employs a descriptive verification methodology utilizing a quantitative approach.  The utilized data are secondary data sourced from the companies' financial reports throughout the study period.  To verify that the regression model is optimal, linear, unbiased, and efficient, several classical assumption tests were performed prior to further investigation. The findings indicate that the liquidity ratio has a partial, positive, and significant impact on profitability ratios.  This condition suggests that a company's enhanced capacity to fulfill its short-term liabilities is correlated with an increased possibility of profit development.  Conversely, the solvency ratio has a negative and considerable influence on profitability ratios, suggesting that a substantial debt burden may hinder a company's ability to generate profits.  The liquidity ratio and solvency ratio have a significant impact on corporate profitability.  These findings underscore the significance of effective liquidity management and capital structure in sustaining a company's financial performance and enhancing its profitability.

Abstract

The industrial sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange experienced significant challenges with fluctuating contributions to the JCI, showing an increase in the early period but declining substantially in recent years. This study aims to analyze the company value of industrial sector issuers on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using the Tobin's Q model for the period of four years. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with industrial sector companies selected through purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through financial statement documentation and analyzed using the Tobin's Q ratio to classify companies based on their market valuation conditions. The results reveal that the majority of companies have a Tobin's Q value below one, indicating that stock market values are lower than the book value of assets. Only a small portion of companies fall into the overvalued category. This study concludes that most industrial sector companies on the IDX have not optimally managed their assets and require improved asset management efficiency to create added value for shareholders. The findings suggest significant room for improvement in asset utilization within Indonesia's industrial sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and external environmental uncertainty on management control systems (MCS) in companies in West Java. The dynamics of business competition and environmental changes demand that companies have adaptive and responsive management control systems. The research employs a quantitative approach with 72 respondents representing various managerial levels within companies in West Java. Data collection techniques involved surveys using both physical distribution and online (Google Forms), while data analysis utilized Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that organizational culture significantly influences the implementation of management control systems. Similarly, external environmental uncertainty also proves to affect management control systems. These findings reinforce contingency theory, which emphasizes the importance of aligning internal and external organizational factors to determine the effectiveness of management control systems. The practical implications of this research suggest that companies in West Java should strengthen the organizational values that encourage openness, innovation, and shared commitment, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of management control systems. Additionally, companies need to improve their adaptability to external environmental changes, including market dynamics, regulations, and technological developments. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the literature on the impact of organizational culture and environmental uncertainty on the effectiveness of management control systems, and serve as a reference for practitioners to enhance company competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Generation Y and Generation Z characteristics on personality neuroticism and its implications for employee performance at the Garut District Education Office. Differences in generational traits, technological adaptation patterns, and work orientations are considered as factors that shape variations in neuroticism within the workplace. A quantitative approach was employed using a four-point scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with 340 respondents. The findings indicate that Generation Y tends to exhibit greater emotional stability, which helps suppress neuroticism, whereas Generation Z shows higher vulnerability to anxiety and pressure, leading to increased neuroticism. In addition, neuroticism serves as a significant mediator linking generational characteristics to employee performance. These results highlight the importance of understanding psychological dynamics across generations to support decision-making in public sector human resource management.

Abstract

PT. OC - a prominent cocoa producer specializing in cocoa powder, liquor, and butter – faces challenges in its supply chain inefficiencies. Despite its established market presence, OC experiences challenges in procurement, production, inventory management, and logistics. These inefficiencies are attributed to the absence of a structured performance management system, which hinders the company’s ability to align operational activities with strategic objectives and optimize resource utilization. This research aims to address these issues by applying the Key Business Performance Management System (KBPMS) framework, which offers a comprehensive approach to identifying, measuring, and improving operational performance. The research is divided into several stages: (1) Foundation, (2) Basic Information, (3) Design Process, (4) Implementation Process, and (5) Refreshment. Primary data was collected through interviews with key stakeholders. Secondary data was gathered from internal company records and external literature. The study proposes a tailored KBPMS framework for PT. OC. Seventeen Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were developed to monitor supply chain activities, categorized into three groups: (1) Business Results; (2) Internal Processes; and (3) Resource Capability. The results of this study highlight that a structured performance management system helps to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainable business growth.
