This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ASSURE model in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media and technology at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Advancements in information technology require teachers to transition from mere information transmitters to creative instructional designers. The research employs a qualitative descriptive design to explore how teachers utilize the systematic steps of ASSURE—Analyze learners, State objectives, Select methods, Utilize media, Require participation, and Evaluate—to enhance learning. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal that the ASSURE model consistently improves learning effectiveness, strengthens teacher-student interaction, and fosters student interest based on Islamic values relevant to modern life. PAI teachers successfully integrate digital technologies such as e-learning and reflective videos with contextual moral values, resulting in an integrative, humanistic, and transformative learning model.

This study examines the conceptual framework for integrating Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences with character education based on Islamic values. Gardner's theory highlights that individuals possess diverse and unique potential intelligences, comprising nine types: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, and existential. In contrast, Islamic education aims to cultivate individuals with noble character (akhlakul karimah). The research indicates that Gardner's intelligences can be developed through Islamic education as a means of instilling the values of monotheism, morality, and Sharia. The findings demonstrate that this integrated approach effectively produces Muslim children's cognitive intelligence alongside strong spiritual and moral development.

The phenomenon of divorce initiated by wives (cerai gugat) in modern Muslim families has shown a significant increase in Religious Courts, including the Amuntai Religious Court. Changes in husband–wife relationship patterns, dual role demands, and psychological dynamics within modern families often create tension between the ideal concept of marriage in Islam and the realities of domestic life. This study aims to analyze the psychological factors contributing to divorce lawsuits in modern Muslim families and to examine their relevance to the Islamic concept of marriage based on judicial decisions of the Amuntai Religious Court. This research employs a normative legal method with a case approach. Data were obtained through documentation studies of divorce lawsuit decisions Number 262/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Amt and Number 114/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Amt, which were analyzed using conceptual and statutory approaches within Islamic marital law. The results indicate that psychological factors such as prolonged disputes, lack of emotional responsibility, and mental and spiritual incompatibility between spouses constitute the dominant reasons for divorce lawsuits. These factors fulfill the element of continuous conflict as regulated in Islamic law. The study concludes that strengthening premarital education and incorporating Islamic family psychology approaches are essential preventive measures to reduce the rate of divorce lawsuits.

Islamic psychology provides a distinctive framework for understanding human behavior, which is fundamentally rooted in the inner condition of the self (nafs) and manifests as moral character (akhlak). The growing demand for spiritually integrated behavioral models motivates this study to conduct a systematic and comprehensive review of behavioral concepts within Islamic psychological literature, aiming to identify its core constructs and map the typology of behavior emphasized in this tradition. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) or conceptual review method, analyzing and synthesizing classical interpretations of primary sources (the Qur’an and Hadith) by seminal scholars such as Al-Ghazali and Ibn Miskawayh, alongside contemporary academic studies. The synthesis reveals that behavior in Islam is classified into Akhlak Mahmudah (praiseworthy behavior) and Akhlak Mazmumah (blameworthy behavior), with their quality determined by the degree of purification of the nafs. Praiseworthy behavior encompasses both a vertical dimension (relationship with God, such as tawakkul) and a horizontal dimension (social relations, such as ‘adl and ṣidq). Furthermore, behavioral formation and transformation in this tradition are centered on the spiritual processes of takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli. It is concluded that Islamic behavior represents a stable manifestation of the soul’s condition, motivated by faith rather than merely shaped by environmental stimuli. These findings carry significant implications for the development of personality assessment instruments and the design of effective, holistic Islamic counseling strategies.

This article examines the plurality of Islamic schools of law (madhāhib) and the methodology of legal reasoning (istinbāṭ al-ḥukm) from a normative–conceptual perspective within the Indonesian context. This article argues that madhhab plurality is a historical and epistemological reality that emerges from differences in juristic reasoning, socio-cultural conditions, and methodological approaches among classical Muslim scholars. Using a library-based and normative analytical approach, this study explores how various methods of istinbāṭ, such as qiyās, istihsān, and maṣlaḥah mursalah, contribute to the richness and adaptability of Islamic law in Indonesia. The findings indicate that plurality does not fragment Islamic law, but instead strengthens its normative framework by enabling legal interpretation to respond dynamically to social change. The paradigm of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah functions as an integrative bridge between textual interpretation and contextual application, ensuring that Islamic law remains just, beneficial, and compatible with the national legal system. Therefore, madhhab plurality plays a strategic role in shaping a contextual, humanistic, and maslahat-oriented methodology of Islamic legal thought in Indonesia.

Marriage in the modern era faces complex challenges, ranging from shifts in gender roles to psychological pressure resulting from digitalization. This study aims to examine the concept of marriage in Islam as a psychological and spiritual institution, as well as to analyze how the integration of Islamic values and family psychology approaches can build healthy husband-wife relationships. The research method used is qualitative with a library research type through an integrative approach that connects normative-religious literature with family psychology theories. The results of the study show that the concepts of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah in Islam directly intersect with emotional well-being and interaction stability in family psychology. This integration positions the principle of musyawarah (consultation) as a form of assertive communication and the principle of ishlâh (reconciliation) as a collaborative conflict resolution strategy. These findings conclude that combining the spiritual dimension, involving worship and ethical awareness, with the psychological dimension, such as attachment and emotional regulation, is able to strengthen family resilience in facing the challenges of individualistic modern society.

The family is the smallest social unit that plays a fundamental role as the first and foremost educational institution in the process of shaping children's personalities and characters. However, in this modern era, globalization and advances in digital technology have triggered a shift in traditional values, leading to a decline in empathy and a weakening of character among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the urgency of instilling character values in the family as the main foundation in the process of shaping adolescents' self-concept, as well as to explain how certain parenting methods can build their moral awareness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method that systematically analyzes various scientific literature, official documents, and related journals. The results show that instilling character through habituation, affection, and role modeling is very effective in building moral awareness.

Knowledge is sometimes acquired through divine revelation, reason, and the senses. Revelation serves as the primary source of truth that comes from the Lord of the universe, reason functions to reflect, evaluate, and expand knowledge, and the senses act as empirical instruments to observe and comprehend the signs of God’s greatness in the universe. This study aims to analyze the integration of revelation, reason, and the senses as sources of knowledge based on the Qur’an and Hadith. The research employs a library research method with a thematic approach to Qur’anic verses and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) related to the acquisition and development of knowledge. The findings indicate that the Qur’an encourages the optimal use of reason and the senses within the framework of revelation, as reflected in commands to think, observe, and draw lessons from nature and the history of past communities. The integration of revelation, reason, and the senses produces a comprehensive framework of knowledge that focuses on truth, usefulness, and the strengthening of faith. This study is expected to contribute conceptually to the advancement of knowledge and Islamic education grounded in the Qur’an and Hadith.

This article examines the reconciliation of Islamic science by focusing on the concepts, principles, and implementation of the Islamization or scientification of Islam within the context of contemporary scholarship. The scope of the study covers the epistemological foundations of Islamic science, the relationship between revelation and reason, and the integration of Islamic knowledge with modern sciences. This study aims to elucidate the core concepts of Islamic science reconciliation, identify its underlying principles, and analyze practical forms of Islamization in the development of knowledge and education. The research employs a library research method using a philosophical and conceptual approach through critical analysis of works by contemporary Muslim thinkers and relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that the reconciliation of Islamic science is grounded in tawḥīd as the primary epistemological principle, the integration of revelation and rationality, and the orientation of knowledge toward human welfare. The implementation of Islamic scientification can be realized through the reformulation of scientific paradigms, educational curricula, and research practices infused with ethical and religious values. In conclusion, the reconciliation of Islamic science constitutes a strategic effort to establish a holistic and integrative scholarly tradition rooted in Islamic values while remaining responsive to modern scientific developments.

This study aims to examine the role of contemporary da'wah and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in developing adaptive Islamic education management in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Using a qualitative-conceptual approach with the library research method, this study analyzes how Islamic educational institutions can integrate traditional values with modern technology. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum, through the P5 RA (Strengthening the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile Project), provides a strategic framework for religious moderation and character building. Furthermore, the integration of AI acts as a catalyst for personalized learning and digital da'wah, although it faces challenges such as infrastructure gaps and digital ethics (adab). This research concludes that a synergy between flexible curriculum management, teacher digital competency, and AI ethics reconstruction is essential for the future relevance of Islamic education
