Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a strategic role in shaping the character, morality, and social awareness of students. However, in practice, IRE often faces fundamental problems in the form of normative-dogmatic tendencies, the dominance of a textual approach, and a weak transformative orientation. These problems indicate that the crisis in PAI is not only pedagogical in nature, but is rooted in the weak foundation of its scientific philosophy. This article aims to reconstruct the philosophy of science in Islamic Religious Education through an integrative ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspective. This study uses the library research method with a descriptive-analytical and critical approach to the literature on the philosophy of science and Islamic education, both classical and contemporary. The results of the study show that the ontology of PAI is still reduced to the transfer of religious doctrine, its epistemology is dominated by a textual approach that lacks dialogue, and its axiology tends to stop at cognitive-ritual goals. The discussion leads to a proposal for the reconstruction of the philosophy of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) that positions education as a process of shaping the existence of faithful and civilized human beings, building an integrative epistemology between revelation, reason, and experience, and directing science towards the internalization of values, ethics, and social responsibility. This article asserts that the integration of ontology, epistemology, and axiology is an important foundation for the development of critical, humanistic, and transformative Islamic Religious Education, as well as relevant to the challenges of contemporary civilization.

This study aims to map and analyze the development of global research on local wisdom within the context of sustainable development using a bibliometric approach. Research data were obtained from scientific publications published between 2021 and 2025 and analyzed using VOSviewer to identify collaboration patterns, thematic structures, and the dynamics of research topics. The analysis was conducted through co-occurrence, overlay, and density visualizations to reveal the relationships among keywords and temporal research trends. The findings indicate that local wisdom occupies a central position as a key node connecting various cross-disciplinary themes, particularly sustainability, indigenous knowledge, environmental management, climate change, and education. Overlay and heatmap visualizations demonstrate increasing publication intensity on contemporary themes, especially the integration of local wisdom with character education, project-based learning, and learning technologies such as augmented reality. These findings affirm a shift in research direction from descriptive–cultural approaches toward more applicative, interdisciplinary, and innovation-based perspectives. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive overview of the landscape and direction of global research development on local wisdom. It contributes to strengthening theoretical understanding while also offering a strategic foundation for the development of future research oriented toward character building, social resilience, and the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Mutual cooperation (gotong royong) is a fundamental social value deeply rooted in Indonesian culture and holds strong relevance within Islamic teachings. The Qur’an functions not only as guidance for ritual worship but also as a source of social ethics that emphasizes cooperation, solidarity, and collective responsibility. This study aims to analyze the concept of mutual cooperation from the Qur’anic perspective and examine its relevance to contemporary Indonesian social life. This research employs a qualitative method using library research and a social exegesis (tafsīr ijtimā‘ī) approach. The data are analyzed through selected Qur’anic verses related to mutual assistance, such as Q.S. Al-Mā’idah [5]: 2 and Q.S. Āli ‘Imrān [3]: 112, supported by interpretations from classical and modern Muslim scholars. The findings indicate that mutual cooperation in the Qur’anic framework represents an expression of faith and social worship, requiring a balance between the relationship with God (ḥabl min Allāh) and relationships among human beings (ḥabl min al-nās). The Prophet Muhammad’s practices, including collective efforts in social and community development, highlight the importance of solidarity in building a just and civilized society. This study concludes that Qur’an-based values of mutual cooperation remain relevant as an ethical foundation for addressing modern challenges such as individualism and declining social awareness.

Islamic education at the elementary school level plays a fundamental role in building the foundation of faith, developing noble morals, and developing students' intellectual, emotional, and social intelligence. The dynamics of global development, marked by technological advances, changes in generational character, and the complexity of educational challenges, demand innovation in the management of Islamic Religious Education learning. This article aims to critically and systematically examine the organization of Islamic education supervision by integrating a deep learning approach and a love-based curriculum in the development of teaching materials in elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, and educational policy documents. The results of the study indicate that structured Islamic education supervision can improve teacher professionalism in designing meaningful learning. The deep learning approach contributes to strengthening students' conceptual and reflective understanding, while the love-based curriculum instills the values of compassion, empathy, and Islamic character. The integration of these three aspects results in the development of teaching materials that are holistic, contextual, and relevant to the needs of elementary school students.

Marriage in Islam is a sacred institution aimed at forming a harmonious family grounded in the values of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah. In social practice, the implementation of marriage often interacts with customary traditions that develop within society as expressions of culture and local identity. One tradition that continues to be preserved in Malay customary weddings is the face-to-face rice-eating tradition, which carries symbolic meaning in shaping the relationship between husband and wife as well as strengthening ties between families. This article aims to analyze the symbolic meaning of the face-to-face rice-eating tradition and examine its relevance to the concept of compassion from a Qur’anic perspective. The study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using descriptive-analytical analysis of Qur’anic exegetical sources, particularly interpretations of QS. Ar-Rum: 21, QS. Maryam: 96, QS. Al-Mumtahanah: 7, QS. Al-Isra’: 24, and QS. Al-Balad: 17, as well as scholarly literature discussing Malay wedding customs. The findings indicate that the face-to-face rice-eating tradition embodies values of togetherness, cooperation, responsibility, empathy, and compassion that are consistent with the Islamic principles of mawaddah and rahmah. This tradition represents a form of local cultural effort to internalize Qur’anic values within family life. As long as it does not contradict Islamic creed and law, the tradition can be understood as a cultural expression that strengthens the formation of a sakinah family. Thus, custom and religion are not positioned in mutual negation, but rather complement and reinforce one another in fostering harmony within Muslim families.

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has significantly transformed the educational landscape, requiring teachers to master 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication (4C). This study aims to examine the relationship between 21st-century teacher competencies and the implementation of modern learning strategies in digital-based education, as well as to identify challenges faced by teachers in Indonesian schools. The research adopts a literature review method by analyzing relevant national and international scholarly articles, books, and research reports related to teacher competencies, innovative learning models, and educational technology integration. The findings indicate a paradigm shift from teacher-centered instruction to student-centered learning approaches, such as Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning, which emphasize active participation and higher-order thinking skills. However, the implementation of these strategies is constrained by limited teacher digital competence, insufficient professional training, and unequal ICT infrastructure across schools. The study concludes that strengthening teachers’ digital pedagogy through continuous professional development and supportive educational policies is essential to fostering effective, collaborative, and technology-enhanced learning environments in the 21st century.

Divorce affects not only legal relationships but also the emotional and spiritual stability of families. Many post-divorce individuals experience psychological distress, role disorientation, and difficulties in reconstructing life meaning. This article aims to analyze the integration of Islamic family psychology and modern psychological approaches in strengthening post-divorce emotional resilience. This study employs a qualitative library-based method with a normative-psychological analysis of family resilience theory, emotional regulation, and Islamic spiritual values. The findings indicate that post-divorce emotional resilience can be enhanced through adaptive emotional management, relational reconstruction, and spiritual reinforcement such as patience, trust in God, and self-purification. This integrative framework offers a relevant conceptual model for supporting emotional recovery among Muslim families in the Indonesian socio-religious context.

This research examines the scope of the methodological thought of various fiqh schools and their influence on the formation of Islamic law in Indonesia. The objective is to analyze the epistemological characteristics of each school and their practical relevance to the development of national law. This study employs a normative (doctrinal) research method with conceptual and statutory approaches, utilizing qualitative analysis of primary and secondary data. The results reveal that each school has distinct istinbath mechanisms, such as istihsan in Hanafi, maslahah mursalah in Maliki, istidlal in Shafi’i, and strict textual commitment in Hanbali and Zhahiri. These methodologies significantly shaped the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), which functions as a cross-school synthesis (manhaj muqaran) through takhayyur and talfiq. While the Shafi’i school remains dominant due to historical factors, the KHI integrates diverse views to address modern social needs. In conclusion, the methodological diversity of fiqh schools provides an authoritative yet flexible foundation, allowing Islamic law in Indonesia to operate as a responsive "living law" while remaining rooted in Sharia principles

Muslim brotherhood and maintaining silaturahmi are fundamental concepts in Islam that aim to strengthen social relations among Muslims and support the creation of a harmonious and civilized society. This article aims to examine the meaning of ukhuwah Islamiyah as a spiritual bond that binds fellow Muslims and examines the importance of silaturahmi as a practical manifestation of ukhuwah. A qualitative literature review method was used to gather information from various Islamic literature sources, the Qur'an, and Hadith. The results of the study indicate that ukhuwah as a theoretical concept must be realized through consistent silaturahmi so that brotherhood among Muslims can be maintained and developed. Maintaining silaturahmi not only brings blessings and rewards but also maintains the unity and harmony of the Muslim community. This article emphasizes that ukhuwah and silaturahmi are two complementary concepts in building a united and harmonious Muslim community.

This article stems from a phenomenon in the field of education, where most educators and parents tend to overlook the psychological aspects of student learning. In fact, education should not only focus on intellectual and physical intelligence, but also on developing students’ psychological aspects to ensure optimal learning. This research focuses on analyzing and revealing the concepts of feelings and emotions in relation to learning, the concepts of feelings and emotions from the perspective of Islamic education, as well as their relevance to Islamic education learning. This study uses a qualitative research method with a library research approach. The findings of the study conclude several key points. First, the psychology of feelings and emotions plays a fundamental role in the learning process because both directly influence students’ motivation, attention, social interaction, academic success, and real- life performance. Second, the psychological concepts of feelings and emotions align with the concept of al-Nafs in Islamic educational psychology, referring to the soul's phenomena as a spiritual component of the human inner self. Third, the concepts of feelings and emotions are relevant to the learning process in Islamic education, which seeks to develop these two components to shape a holistic Muslim generation. Ultimately, educators need to place greater emphasis on these psychological components and foster their positive development through comprehensive teaching and guidance to achieve the goals of Islamic education.
