Abstract

Work accidents are unexpected and unexpected events. Unexpected, because behind the incident there was no intentional element, especially in the form of planning. OSH efforts in preventing accidents Accident Investigation is one of the inspection activities in the workplace specifically, which is carried out after an accident or incident that causes suffering to humans and results in loss and damage to property/property and other company assets. Work accidents that occur can cause losses, both for the workers themselves and for the company. Losses received by workers can be in the form of illness, disability or even loss of life. The target that we will achieve related to the implementation of this community service is to provide knowledge for workers who work in the company about the importance of hazards and risks in the workplace, to increase knowledge for companies in order to prevent accidents at work in the company

Abstract

Behavior based safety is an effective method for preventing work accidents, this method is widely applied in European countries and the United States. Behavior based safety can achieve the target of the occupational safety index and can also provide a structural approach to safety management in the long term. The main purpose of the occupational safety and health program is to avoid or at least minimize the occurrence of work accidents. In order for the construction implementation process to run smoothly and well, it is necessary to pay attention to the factors of occupational safety and health for all parties involved in the project. The method used in the delivery of service materials is a workshop (question and answer). Occupational Health and Safety (K3) has an effect on Work Productivity. So with the increase in occupational safety and health of employees, it will be able to increase work productivity

Abstract

Water pollution is a condition caused by the input of pollutant loads/waste wastes in the form of gases, dissolved materials, and particulates. Pollutants that enter water bodies can be carried out through the atmosphere, soil, runoff from agricultural land, domestic, urban, industrial waste, and others (Effendi, 2003). Pollution occurs when there are materials in the environment that cause unexpected changes, whether physical, chemical, or biological. The target that we will achieve related to the implementation of this community service is to provide knowledge for workers who work in the company about the importance of the dangers of water and waste pollution. In addition, the output of the results of this service will be made into articles to be published in community service journals, the application of controlling water and waste pollution in the workplace.

Abstract

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause disease. There are at least two types of coronavirus that cause diseases that cause severe symptoms such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases globally is 108,684,743 with 2,399,103 deaths. Cases in Indonesia were recorded to be contaminated with 1,233,959 cases with 33,596 deaths. Corona viruses are a group of related RNA viruses infecting animals that cause disease in mammals and birds. In humans, this virus attacks the respiratory system and causes infections in the respiratory tract. Corona virus can cause mild disorders of the respiratory system, lung infections and can cause death. The targets in this activity are to provide an understanding of the implementation of the covid-19 health protocol in the workplace, to provide an understanding to the general public about the dangers and risks of covid-19.

Abstract

Management System is a framework of processes and procedures used to ensure whether a company or organization can meet standards and carry out their duties to achieve organizational goals. Based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 50 of 2012 concerning Application of Occupational Health and Safety Management System Article 5 paragraphs 1 – 4, companies are required to implement SMK3 if the company has workers/laborers of at least 100 (one hundred) people, or has a high level of potential danger. Companies in implementing SMK3 must be guided by this Government Regulation and the provisions of laws and regulations and can pay attention to international conventions or standards. With the implementation of ISO 45001:2018 it is considered necessary and relevant to be applied in every company as an effort to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases. The method of community service is carried out online through the Zoom meeting application. Participants in the implementation are company employees and the general public. The target in this activity is to increase knowledge for the company in order to improve the safety management system.

Abstract

Humans and natural resources cannot be separated because they are one unit. In Article 1 point 9 of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, hereinafter referred to as UUPPLH explains that natural resources are elements of the environment consisting of biological and non-biological resources which as a whole form a unified ecosystem. The method used in the delivery of service material is a workshop (question and answer) delivery of material from tutors using a zoom meeting. The target that we will achieve related to the implementation of this community service is to increase public knowledge about environmental protection and management, so that people know and are able to actually apply environmental conservation actions in their daily lives. In addition, the output of the results of this service will be made into articles to be published in community service journals.

Abstract

The socialization in this service activity aims to: (1) increase public knowledge of the importance of household waste management (2) to grow and increase public awareness and awareness of disposing of waste in its place (3) so that people know about the financial benefits of inorganic waste management which is good and true. The target audience for PPM activities is 60 housewives in RT 35. The PPM activity method uses the question and answer lecture method, and simulation. The steps for PPM activities are lectures to explain the study of waste, types and classification of waste, waste management and 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) inorganic waste management, and the impact of waste on personal health and the environment. After that, it was followed by a question and answer session and a simulation of the management of inorganic waste into various recycled creations. The supporting factors for the service activities are the support from the village head, the head of the Damai Village LPM, the Representative of the Waste Bank Team from the Environment Agency, the Head of RT 35, the Chair of the PKK Cadre, and the enthusiasm of the service participants, while the inhibiting factor for the activity is the limited time for the implementation of service activities. Overall service activities can be said to be good and successful, seen from the success of the target number of socialization participants (85%), the achievement of training objectives (80%), the achievement of the planned material targets (90%), and the ability of participants in mastering the material (90% ). Service activities can increase the knowledge of housewives about waste management in order to improve clean and healthy living behavior by empowering them in managing inorganic waste into various recycled creations and new sources of income from the sale of waste to the waste bank.

Abstract

Air pollution is the entry or inclusion of substances, energy, and/or other components into the ambient air by human activities, so that the ambient air quality drops to a certain level which causes the ambient air to be unable to fulfill its function (Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Republik Indonesia Nomor P.15/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/4/2019). Ten years ago, the World Bank predicted that global primary energy supply would increase by a factor of 1,6 to 3,5 then until 2050 and for developing countries this factor would range from 2,3 to 5,2, in projections BPPT-OEI 2016 for the 2015-2050 period, the factor of increasing primary energy supply is even greater, ranging from 5,3 to 6,8 8 (Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi, 2017). The 2015 World Climate Change Summit or UNFCCC COP21 held in Paris aims to keep the world’s average temperature rise below 20C, compared to pre-industrial temperatures and to encourage further efforts to increase the temperature to no more than 1,50C, at the conference Indonesia committed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 26% by its own efforts and up to 41% with international assistance as outlined in the NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) (Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi, 2017). Air pollution control can be carried out with strict supervision of clean energy development according to policies that have been issued by the government, create as many green open spaces as possible, especially with plants that have the characteristics of absorbing maximum amounts of pollutants, pollutant-prone areas such as cities and industries to complement pollutant sources with particulate control technology tools and gas control technologies.

Abstract

The socialization activity regarding hygiene sanitation in the food safety management system is a community service activity. The purpose of this activity is an effort to help people maintain the safety of food consumed and processed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Activities are carried out through a webinar series program to increase public knowledge about hygiene sanitation requirements and procedures for managing food and beverages that meet health standards. The community service method was in the form of talk shows and discussion activities which were attended by participants, namely IPEMI members, alumni and students of the D4K3 Uniba vocational faculty. The results showed a positive response and high active participation of participants.
